Morning all, Kiddo's let us lie in til 7.20 which was lovely.
Today's list
* Last of the yellow sticker (ys) bread for breakfast with a banana
* Move the left over fruit into a different fruit bowl before our Mr T delivery comes this morning, this way the last few apples, a pear and 3 banana's will get used first
* Prep veg for Sunday lunch
* Cook 2 ys chickens for Lunch (will use the rest of the meat the next few days)
* Going to do lots of mashed potato so that it will help make an easy tea tomorrow
* Finish off xmas cards that are going with my folks when they go up North next week
* Book this week's gym classes
* Make sure the kids are upto date with homework
* Film from stash this afternoon
* General tidying/cleaning as the day goes on
That's it for now, I'll probably add more as the day goes on.
Happy Sunday all.
* Showered using various lotions and potions in a bit to get odds and ends used up.
Also left hair to dry naturally
* Run the dishwasher on the quick 30min wash
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi all,
LuckyPenny - snowball is where you pay, say £500 a month to your debts - only pay the minimum on all of your debts bar one (highest interest). When that is paid off, keep paying the same amount but pay off the next highest interest....then it snowballs so you will eventually be paying £500 a month to just one debt... http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/snowball-calculator.php
CCL - don't feel guilty about not coming on here - we're here if you need a chat but as long as you're getting on ok in real life then that is the main thing. Your mam's today - sounds like a great plan. xx
1LL - your cinema trip sounds perfect - contraband sweets are a must!
Can't wait to see fantastic beasts.
CLF - what are you crocheting? I lost my fave hat last week - am so sad about this as I can't remember what pattern it was to make another.

It's gutting when that happens!
At the moment I'm making an graphghan as a gift for a friend (custom made pattern using Stich fiddle - excellent web based app) and I'm making a dress for myself.
I should also sew together the cardigan I made over the summer but it's a PITA. I've put the panels together and the sleeves on. Now to join the ribbing and the cowl neck. The neck piece seems too long though. Need to look at it in the clear of morning one day!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Warning: RAGE post
A "friend" of OH's has just guilted him into taking her and her fella to pick up their new car.
We live in the NW, near the Welsh border. The car is in KING'S LYNN

This is beyond cheeky. I want to give them a piece of my mind. ARGHLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
CLF that's the sort of thing my DH would end up agreeing to. Sigh.
LaE I am struggling a bit too, Bob is such a great motivator, which is why it is good to be here! I do find it very difficult at this time of year. You can tell me as much as you want that Christmas shouldnt be about presents but I find it hard. My friend was telling me last night that she has given her two teenagers a budget of £200 for their main present plus extra surprises. I couldnt help thinking "I wish I could do that".
Anyhow. Washing over airer as it's raining - again. No heating on as it's not that cold. I need to research breakdown cover as we had free cover which has ended. Need to cancel a DD for a magazine subscription that I bought DS when he was at home poorly and doesnt want any more. Need to work out how to withdraw my money from my Barclays Rewards as this is part of the Xmas budget. I will post later when I have actually done these things!
Have a good Sunday everyone x0 -
CLF make sure that he calls in an equally decent favour in return. How about they pay his fuel?
CCL I know how you feel. Going to your mums sounds good, try to plan in some 'me' time now and again, I know it's hard but you'll burn out otherwise and where will everyone be.
Thank you for the ys and snowball explanations LaE and CCL.
Trying to relax with the family today in prep for a busy work week

Morning all,
Just a few bits today:
*Cancelled our plans to visit Christmas fair at a castle. It was fab last year but weather is awful & parking is in muddy field. Decided to save 40 miles of diesel & do something locally.
*Ham hock in slow cooker (£2 from village butcher. Am hoping to get 3 days of meals from it)
*Knit up more of yarn stash. Baby socks on the needles at the moment tgen any yarn left from those will be another blanket square.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Pop into town to sort out enlarging & printing a photo I need to frame for a gift. Will try to get free parking.
*Mr f wants to sit down & make a festive food list, which I think would be useful.
*Load washer for cheap overnight wash.
*Leave downstairs heating off for as long as possible.

CLF - Oh my days! That was some guilt trip. Outrageously cheeky 'ask'. Kings Lynn is about a 68 mile journey from us & I still wouldn't have agreed to that journey! As a bare minimum, you should ask your friends for the cost of the fuel & really, they should also offer a little extra for wear & tear on the car & your partner's time. A very naughty 'ask' imho!

Yorkshire as you know I've been changing my attitude to Christmas and gifts for some time now (in fact for my birthday I've asked people to donate to the refugee crisis fund rather than getting me cards or gifts!). But I know I have questioned and struggled to know if it's the right thing to not spend money on things at Christmas. For me I have come to the conclusion it is. I will spend £50 each on my adult children, probably less than £30 on madam. So I think in all probability I will spend less than £200 including rood for the day. I try not to let the consumerism and guilt of not spending more out of my mind. I believe what I am doing is right x

Morning all hope everyone is OK and the weather hasn't hit too hard where you are! CLF - This is something my OH would also agree to without fully thinking it through! Men! I would try and get them to pay the petrol money at the least as wear and tear on the car etc! No sign of baby yet, due date tomorrow, can see me going over! Come on baby M, we are so excited to meet you! Got Mr A shop coming between 2-3 and some friends coming over at midday to see me. So today's list:

- Mr A shop being delivered
- B/L/D from home
- Pack last minute things into baby hospital bag - Extra blanket and teddy
- Do load of washing and tumble dry - In the drier now
