  • Ally that made me laugh too. I am currently sporting a "messy updo" - my hair is meant to look like this - honest!

    Luckylady I have done that too. Sorry you feel rough LaE I was sitting next to someone at work the other day who had a streaming cold so hope the germs stayed away.

    Rang to cancel my AA home cover and they offered to halve the price for a year so I accepted. We did use it once when we had storm damage to the roof but £11 a month was too much.

    Financially things feel pretty grim at the moment but I am trying not to dwell on it too much. Need to check the spreadsheets properly but it might wait till tomorrow. I have more paid stuff to do!

    Morning guys seems like it's been busy here over the last few days. LL sorry you seem to be having a frustrating week x

    Hi Yorkshire lass, nice to see you again. Happy birthday to ds x

    Work was manic the last 2 days but my idea to dictate case notes on the the database is gold! Feeling much more in control and workload manageable now. Still a little behind but going to do some work while off to clear the backlog and then I think I'll be okay :)

    Still kept mostly to mse ways although I did go and get my hair cut which cost £55 :eek: but really needed something doing with it. Had it all cut short (double :eek::eek:) am including it in birthday week treats :p

    Tonight we are actually going out :T madam is having a sleepover at my bff's and oh are going out to celebrate my upcoming birthday :) this afternoon going for a woodland walk with a pint in a country pub afterwards with bff and family. Lots of lovely get together planned for the next week :T

    In small things news:

    Oh building a wood store from pallets - should be fun we are the least practical people ever!
    Load of washing
    Change bedsheets & wash
    All meals from stores - something out of the freezer for tomorrow. Might try to squeeze in a vegetarian meal today shh
    Photo some things for fleabay
    Dig over veg patch in garden if dry enough
    Look for a couple of Xmas gifts online, also make a list of ingredients needed for bath bombs - comforters while okay for me not happy to give as gifts
    Submit meter readings
    Started meal plan and shopping list for next 3 weeks
    Checked banks and cc

    Okay that's all I think I need to do. Have all great day everyone x

    Hi November Non-Spenders,

    So, the Wee Geek is up early trying to clear a few things before heading off to Ayr:

    Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    * Checked DW's bank balances.

    * Checked Nectar Points balance.

    * Checked my online banking.

    * Read the news online.

    * Renewed home insurance. Got a fresh quote online from Meerkat. Can get new cover with my existing insurer only £3 cheaper than offered on the renewal letter.

    * Actiate new credit card. Have changed one 0% one for another with better rewards.

    * Chase RMSurveys about a problem.

    Live long, live well and prosper.

  • Morning all

    Just a quick one while I'm in work

    Yesterday's state of play:

    • Go for a run if it's not too rainy (doesn't involve my arm) - nope
    • B/L/D from stores - well dinner ended up being pizza but we will have the fish pie today
    • KM the remaining two kitchen cupboards because they are driving me crazy. - done! That was a mission
    • Make Christmas cakes! :j - done
    • Dust the bathrooms and spare room
    • Clean bathrooms - done
    • Wash hoover filters
    • Water chilli plants now that they are indoors for the winter. Last year only one survived. I hope that I can top this! - done
    • Wash on - done
    • Heating off? Probably but it depends how cold it gets later - my house doesn't take well to being left to get very cold. It gets very damp and it takes a lot to warm it up again. - nope it was very cold
    • Make bread (poss 2 loaves, one to freeze) - done
    • Look at starting the great clothes swap. I realised that (for lots of reasons) our clothes are in lots of silly places. It will make more sense if I move all of mine to the spare room and all of OH's to our room. That way, one person's clothes will be together and I won't wake him up in the mornings when getting dressed. This plan won't be finished until we put up the Christmas decs (they are in the wardrobe on our room) but I can start. - made a start
    • Go to nearby city to finish (or nearly finish) Christmas shopping - done
    • Do a small shop on the way home for essentials and OH's snacks - not done
    • Started a slouchy hat to match my gloves. Will finish later. Must pick up shirring elastic or something for the edge. - done
    • Check ebay to see how new items are doing. Decided to try and sell the unused processor attachments cos I figured that the CS wouldn't want them.- done
    • Pick up hair dye. Have made the tough decision to go back to home hair dye to save money. My flame hair and rainbow hair were amazing while it lasted but with my company the way it is, I can't justify the money. :(- done
    • Have just learnt how to create graphghans using StitchFiddle. This is dangerous territory!!- done

    Today:
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Heating off?
    • Overtime
    • Crochet (finished my hat. Looks ace. Just need a scarf now!)
    • No drinkies
    • Small shop
    • Run at lunchtime if the weather doesn't turn
    • Relist unsold ebay items
    Will add more as I go

    Have a good one all

  • Hi pals :wave:

    Thanks for the well wishes :A Reckon I feel worse today than yesterday but it just takes its course, doesn't it? My gran used to say it takes 3 days to come on, you'll have it for 3 days and then 3 days to go away - that's probably about right!

    Worst thing is that the house is a complete tip - after being away last weekend and not doing anything around the house this week... :eek: Need to find the motivation/energy from somewhere...

    Also had a wave of sadness about how we can't afford the smallest of things - new duvet caused the latest crash!

    I'm also meant to be working job#2 on Monday night - £60 so I want to do it but will need to cancel if I still feel like this...Should give them a bit of notice so they have more chance of finding someone else y'see but don't want to speak too soon if I'll be fine come Monday :think:

    I have a few bits I need to do online so can hopefully still be productive from my sick bed but really I just want to go back to sleep.

    Right, better get off before I moan at you any more!!
