  • Heavenleigh - just so glad things are Ok sweatheart. - a precious bundle to carry.

Sorry, very tired so not posting anything huge tonight. I do know some of you have had problems.

Mum a bit shaky with muscle deterioration. Still trying to get DBrother over from States.

DH at his aunt's funeral today and had to take a cord. I think he is a bit freaked out about that.

Mrs Mac - hope good news about your family soon - you have been a bit manic today. Take care darling.

Sorry about not mentioning anyone else but you are in my thoughts.

Thanks for the pms- will get back to you.

I took the bull by the horns and have stitched out the top for the ring pillow, and its great, really pleased with it, the silk satin stayed just where it should be and although I had some thread break, on the whole it went fine.......so now I have to square it up, spend several hours trimming the scalloped edge, put the thing together.............and sew on the ring ribbons........

Its cold again tonight, going to have a bath before we go to bed tonight to warm me up, no way am I going to put the heating on yet........mind you we pay for it, I should use it I suppose.

Tomorrow have to collect the jigsaw I ordered from Argos and cut the wood for the shelves, might get round to putting them up.

My friend rang at 8am this morning, could I take her to Birmingham airport a week on Wednesday at 4.15AM!!!!!! My god will it be worth going to bed????still it is worth £50 to the pay for the sewing machine fund, so no quarrel with that......

I was going to cook gammon tonight, when I went to get it out of the frdige it was a most peculiar colour, so I had to chuck it, it was still in date.....but no way was I going to eat it. Makes me mad, over £1 in the bin, we had corned beef salad instead.........and now I am starving, better go and get a drink of water before I am tempted to raid the biscuit barrel..........

Hello to everyone, I've not had a chance to read yet, but will do before bed. I hope everyone is keeping well.

I have one thing I would like to vent about. Shopping for clothes is evil. That's it! I tried today to go to get some jeans and a pair of trainers. Simple right? My old jeans have become unwearable (holes in places that can't be sorted) and so decided to get something new. I went to Next after having a good experience buying jeans there last time. I'm quite tall, so buy the long jeans, I also have wide hips, and from doing lots of sport when I was younger, large thighs (read muscle turned to fat after hurting my back). So, you can imagine the day I had. I tried on various jeans (all of them were the stretchy ones) and they just didn't fit properly. So, I got fed up with trying on clothes in hot shops and decided to call it a day on that and go next week. Trainers, well there were some lovely ones, but far too expensive. There were also some nice ones which weren't in my size. So, again I gave up.

The only thing I did accomplish was finish buying things for my nieces birthday. I'm making an arts caddy for her and found some good bargains today, including blank cards and envelopes, gel pens, make a necklace set, glitters and pencils all for less than £4. I was quite happy, as it really sets off the other things I've been buying over the last few months. Now I just need to buy a lidded box as I've finished purchasing bits to go in, so I know what size to get.

I also bought a snowflake punch for myself and some Christmas peel-offs so I can make a start on my first batch of hand made Christmas cards. That was my little treat for this week, something to cheer me up as its my last week at work and I don't have a new job lined up yet. Fingers crossed something will show up soon.

If it was still in date, don't you have a receipt so you can take it back to the shop and get a refund?

nicola happy knitting. All these babies are making me clucky.
Rzl The gym sounds fab. How ideal near work and I"m sure once you get a routine going you'll be toned up in no time. The veggie meals will be cheaper for you too. I get a lot of my recipes from various vegetarian sites. I'm still in the experimental stage but have made some lovely ones & yukky ones. :p
Toonie I know what you mean about sizes.
Kyle Housework should warm you up. :D

Well I was going to go and have a browse in the shopping centre today. I promised myself last week I would go. Think I will leave it until next week as something unexpected came yesterday  & it's a bad one. Off to start my day so have a good sleep. Byeeeeeeeee

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
