Guess who
Just had a call from home.... sisters 1 1/2hr op turned into 3 1/2 hr op - but she never could be rushed  ..she no doubt only made it to theatre in time because someone went and fetched her;)
So she is through the OP...which is the main thing... now just have to wait for the results on the "mass" which came in at 18lb..... .....the things she will do not to have to go back to WW...that should put her under target now:rotfl: ..not that i'd recommend it as a means of losing weight of course-especially not with hospital food to follow........
Hope no-one thinks im being heartless.... sis would understand...its how us lot deal with things...well that and cooking n cleaning in my case... mum will have been eating jam/lemoncurd out of the jar....her way of coping
Thanks for the PMs and the kind thoughts...once again.... my family are using more than their fair share im sure
hope you all have a good evening...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Evening all,
Haven't had chance to post in the last couple of days - have been reading though, so hugs to all neccesary
I've done my ironing :j! I'm especially pleased because it was only 1 washload worth and I hope to keep on top of it from now on - you guys must nag me - if I say I've done some washing, ask me if I've ironed it
Well, I did not hesitate on acting on my inspired idea of getting a diary and writing down all the hints, tips, ideas etc that I get from here - and so far it is proving brilliant! It is motivating me more and encouraging me to expand my horizons.
Got 2 Xmas pressies at Mr T last night - yay, I've started! That reminds me - must update my sig
Am just about to go and make: Sausage and Bean casserole, Chicken and leek pie and possibly leekand potato soup.
Hope you all have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Evening all :hello:
Happy birthday johanne, welcome back catowen, and hope your sis is right soon MRS MCAWBER ((hugs)). Anybody heard from Penny-Pincher!! today? And everybody who's preg, take care.
Well I finally took the plunge... I'm in the process of joining a gym   well, nearly. I've put in my application for a PruHealth policy, which will enable me to join the super-luxurious Cannons near my office for about the same price per month as it would cost me to join a bog-standard Fitness First with no swimming pool, and with health insurance there to be used if I need it. It is not cheap but is a HECK of a lot cheaper than the normal fee for this particular gym, which I've spent a few days at on free trials and decided ages ago that it's the only gym that's lovely enough to motivate me to spend enough time there to get my money's worth (I'm a Fitness First dropout). The gym subsidy doesn't kick in for three months, but the excess fees will be covered by the Quidco cashback
The ongoing cost will be fully covered by the annual payrise I had last month, which I feel a bit guilty about because I was going to start saving more, but I am SO sick of "letting myself go". Ahem, perhaps once I am on a fitness regime I will spend less on wine and chocolate and will save money anyway :rotfl: and I'm going to try and cook lots of cheap healthy veg-based batch meals to recover some of the cost. Size 12, here I come :j :j
(I'm seeing my mum at the weekend, so am hoping to get her to take some "before" photos of me in my underwear, to compare with the "after".)
Otherwise everything is as normal here
Off to make a mushroom risotto with yummy posh mushroom selection I got yellow-stickered at Asda
Love Rzl xx
Edit: Oh yes, one more thing re the gym situation - I weighed myself today for the first time in years  Knowing what my perfect weight has been in the past, I'd say I've got three stone to lose  Will post progress in my sig once I actually start going to the gymOperation Get in Shape

Hi girls,
So, so sorry for posting and running yesterday, took me 45mins to get through to hospital in which time dh came home from work and told me he had booked a night away whatever the results!
Thankfully preliminary results came back clear :0) so no downs, turner syndrome, edwards syndrome or anything else with missing or extra chromosomes.
Dh took me to a lovely 5* hotel, dad had the kids and we had a lovely relaxing time, was gutted i could only have the one glass of celebratory champagne though! lol.
Thank you so much for your kind words, for some strange reason i feel more emotionally fragile today than i have in the past week, i think it's just everything catching up.
So healthy bubba so far, another 3 weeks to wait for the full results back after the placental tissue has been cultured but i am optomistic now that everything is going to be ok. I just want to start enjoying this pregnancy.
Lots of love and a million buckets full of thanks to you all.
Leigh xx
