Morning eveeryone...
Well i think we may have a clear day for a change :T .....
Well i didn't get the savoury meat rolls done ysterday, but i did get as far as the filling - so that has sat in the fridge over night....just need to get my lazy bum into the kitchen and get the pastry made - no excuse, as i even remembered to leave the butter and lard out of the fridge:rolleyes: .. so when i have done this , i will make the pastry - then sit and have a cuppa on here - whilst the pastry rests you understand:o .....
Home made pasties went down well with hubby, as did the cheese, potato n onion flans...apparently he thought he had better try both -well he didn't want me to make any more if thy werent quite right :rotfl: ...so i have 6 pasties and 6 flans in the freezer and im not sure how much savoury meat roll we are going to end up with...... do seem to have an awfull lot of filling.
After that has been done, i have made myself promise to sort the clothes out... hubbies wardrobe is like a dumping ground......
Still it will keep me busy -very busy...whilst i wait to hear any news about sis...
Hugs to all those in need...and hope everyone has a good day-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Good morning everyone! I w***ed Monday and Tuesday this week, so today is the first day of my weekend :j :T I'm going to have a big baking day - bread, cakes, biscuits, jam. We have the Rayburn on again, so I'm making a beef casserole in there, will serve with HG veg and dumplings. Don't fancy salad any longer - just hearty winter food
My Tesco shop is coming later, and I need to take my laptop to the hospital - problem with it screen. I've brought my w*** laptop home, so will be able to use that.
Heavenleigh - hope all is well :grouphug:

Tired-mum - thanks for reminding me about Freeport - I have never been even though have lived quite near it for 3 years - think will be a good place for Xmas pressies.
Lovely and sunny here and doesnt feel as cold as yesterday. Nothing exciting today - a little bit of everything, have no ironing at the moment!!! and when todays loads are dry will iron them straight away.
Need to book a golf lesson hopefully for monday, have always wanted to give it a try and we live inbetween 2 golf clubs with a golf range up the road. OH is going to try with me - we might hate it!

*wishes all a good morning*
Maybe its just because I haven't been up all that long and am still refusing to put the night storage heating on just yet, but it seems rather parky today !
Today is my midweek all day working in my weekday job, very much not looking forward to itfortunately if does get too chilly can put some heating on in the " office " downstairs. My goal for today is NOT to buy any crisps, chocolate or readymade sandwiches from the corner shop - this is one of my big weaknesses and moneywasters that I fall prey to if I am feeling tired and fed up. I have no excuse really - have lovely wholemeal rolls, cheese and watercress to have with carrot sticks and cherry toms for lunch, and I treated myself to a couple of lamb leg steaks yesterday so will have those with a jacket potato and salad later - which will take less time to prepare than walking to the shop to buy crud

Peace at last - everyone seemed in one of those moods this morning.
WM doing it's thing - DW too - I've swished and swiped and beds have been aired and remade.
Going to get the sewing machine out today and make up some christmas stockings - everyone loved them last year so making some to sell this time.
Jacket spuds with various bottom of the fridge fillings tonight -got loads of tomatoes and onions so may make a tomato soup to help fill us up.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Good morning all,
Hope that everyone is well.
Nothing exciting happening in the alibob household today, lots of feeding, burping and nappy changing! George lost alot of weight so he's having formula top ups, i'm hoping to drop these in a few days as he's not that keen and much prefers the breast. I'm not too alarmed about his weight loss, he was so big and unfortunatly my chest isn't that its no big shock really. Today we are going to visit an elderly neighbour, she's a lovely lady and she's off in to hospital on Sunday for a hip replacement and she'd like to see George before she goes.
Managing to get some cleaning and general tidying done but not an awful lot really, dh is incharge of the house at the moment, I just do the bits that he misses.
My dd (3 at christmas) is struggling with the new addition a bit, i've been trying to spend one to one time with her which seems to help, cheeky thing left for nursery with her dad this morning and came to give me a kiss and said Goodbye Alison - I think that i've been divorced by my daughter!
sorry for lots of wittering!
Have a good day all, ((hugs)) for all that need them0
