    Hi All

Nice to hear from you BB

It's freezing here all of a sudden. Had an appointment first thing so walked to it, taking 45 mins, then walked home another 45 mins. Had a big pot of coffee to warm up. Spent a bit of time at home, boiled a couple of eggs to share with DD for lunch then out to the health centre for her 1 year check up. After that we were out till 4.30, and did another long walk about as DD was napping. Then school run. I was absolutely frozen by then and starving. I walk so much during the day and forget I need to eat a bit more to keep my energy going. Have just had a restorative cup of tea and a cheese sandwich! Roast pork in the oven for dinner tonight.

NSD and CB arrived in account.

    Morning all,

Quick list from me as I've got a couple of appointments this afternoon.
    Todays list
    * Gym to make most of membership :)
    * Fill water bottle at the gym :)
    * Dishwasher on quick wash :)
    * Ys muffins toasted for kids breakfast :)
    * Take a couple of bottles of tap water with me for this afternoon so that I don't succumb to the vending machines :)
    * All meals from stores :)
    * Minimum heating on, plenty of fleeces/blankets about :)
    * Hoover - MUST do this today!! :)
    * Check banking/update spreadsheets :)
    * Check luckyphone :)
    * Shower and use some of the use up's I've put in there ready, will also let hair dry naturally :)
    * After ^^ will use some of the use up makeup I'm trying to clear through. :)
    * Check if library books are in stock for kids :)

Boring list I know but it keeps me on the straight and narrow!

    Have a good day all.

Do you have anything like an out of town retail centre near you? I quite often do Pets at Home and TRU (& if I need to, have a Costa lots) all in the same retail park. DD loves just walking around looking at it all and I never feel tempted to buy anyway. Free if you don't do the coffee bit.

    Small things

    1. NSD 6. Of the 9 so far. Target is 22.
    2. Homemade lemon cake for elevensies
    3. Brought more of the loft toys down to play with
    4. Washing drying on rail
    5. Meals planned to make the most of Mondays shop
    6. Mid month budget review (this is day 15 for our cycle) averaging £7 per day to feed 4 including all toiletries.
    7. Banking checked/ both sets
    8. £75 worth of checks to pay in, plus one for £30 coming soon. Too wet this morning to be bothered to go though.
    9. Will take snacks for school run
    10. Planning has begun for sons party. Won't need to provide a huge tea due to timings/guest numbers. So themed bakes, a few pizzas, chicken wings etc only. OH is making some of the arty bits for games. Hoping it will be dry so they can go in the garden too.

I spent many hours walking around trus and pets at h0me with kids in their pushchairs, when they were little :)

Didn't manage a nsd as I needed to take some trousers I'd bought for one of the kids back to asda as although they were the right length they were just far too baggy on their waist/bum, unfortunately the trousers with adjustable waist bands were £2 each more expensive so that was a £6 unbudgeted spend. Did also pick up some ys bread/fruit whilst in there.

Killing time waiting to pick on of the kids up from a friends now, I can't wait to get home and get my pj's on, with a nice cuppa in front of the tele with a blanket on me :)

Only thing I still need to do is tomorrows packed lunches now.

    Have a lovely evening all.

  • Wow Bob is your little girl a year old, where did that go?

So its madly busy here but I am still smiling! Had to buy a car park permit yesterday, its worth it for me as work parking is a nightmare and at the moment I cant cycle as I have to drop DS off on the way. They only had annual permits and I had saved £100 for a six month one. The only alternative was driving 10 miles to another office so I just said oh its fine put the £200 through on my debit card - gulp.

More paid stuff to do, need to get on with it.

    Hi everyone

I’m still in work… picking up OH at 7.30 so it made sense to stay here rather than go home (half an hour’s drive at 5.30) and then have to leave again an hour later. I’ve managed to do a few bits of work stuff and kill some time online.

Still no money here… A Co that owes OH about £500 queried his invoice so he is still going back and forth with them rather than them just paying as we were expecting/hoping. This is the first month he’s done work for them so hopefully after this it will be pretty run of the mill/same each time and there won’t be the queries delaying payment… :(

Usual sorta things from me really…

    Didn’t have breakfast – that’s money-saving, right?! :o
HM pot noodle lunch – also made one for OH and I think he enjoyed it too. :A
Going to suggest veggie ragu tonight, either on jacket potato or pasta
Do some laundry – we’re away this weekend so want to get on top of it before Friday…
Look into balance transfer now I have settlement figure for car loan...
Check out car insurance… Might save this for the weekend though…

Night in with some net flix I imagine and hopefully an early night – main aim of the game is to sleep better than last night (snoozing while being horrified at the election results :( )
