Oh dear Valli, I hope the little one is better soon.
Hope everyone feels better soon! What a rotten time of year! I'm perking up a lot since my poorliness. God bless antibiotics.
DS's room is usually pretty tidy actually. He is a good egg. And I cleared his drawers last week and sold the small stuff straight away, so I've cleaned the lounge instead as I didn't do it on lounge day. Managed to sort out the 6m-3yr stuff into age bundles and I've sold 6m-2yrs already. Although some isn't getting picked up until Friday. I need to do 3-4yr stuff tomorrow and we'll be up to date!
Glad I don't have to do under the stairs cupboard again tomorrow! Haha. I'll have to look back through the full list and pick up bits missed. I saw clean the oven is on there *sob*
Kitchen and hall still got loads of leaves on the floor from the boy's homework (build a habitat for a woodland creature). I liked today's task of him reading better. Much cleaner even if I have to do some writing. So proud he's top in reading and overtaking kids in the year above. I just found out today he's in a special group of 5 who do harder maths. They're doing division. And he got a sticker and 3 house points for his handwriting yesterday. He's such a good and bright boy, I forget sometimes. Although I'd prefer fewer leaves in the house. Haha! He sold a toy he's too big for today so he's getting the money to go in his egg piggy bank.
I've an hour before work tomorrow so should get a load in the wash. I don't want mount washmore to build up again!0 -
Golly the house is a really messy, dirty tip if you look closely.
Managed to empty DW and wu a few miscellaneous pans, yogurt pots to go in recycler etc before going to uni.
Managed assessment thankfully without going to sleep.
Both Mr N and I decided we were too shattered to go dancing this eve, so we caught up on a couple of recorded programmes with him doing the ironing and me writing out Xmas cards, so we feel as if we have done something useful.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
And, apparently, if you're eight the word 'wheedle' is hysterically funny because it sounds like 'wee'

Morning all,
Slept very badly due to waking DS and worrying about DH business - an invoice hasn't been paid that he is owed, and it is sizeable. So "please pay our invoice" vibes would be appreciated. DH is great at his job, but hates chasing payment and thinks I should leave people to pay in their own time.... uuuuh no.
We have been in this situation once before and it nearly killed our business.
Moan over, its only money. Best do something productive xxMFW

Oh ATB it's a real pain - why don't people just pay what they owe? My stepdad has similar trouble, my mum does his invoices in good time, but there is always one that doesn't cough up. It's theft, in basic terms.
I'm cross this morning - about something and nothing. DS wants to change football teams. He can't, and that should be the end of it. He's signed to a team, which precludes him from playing for any other this season. We talked about this when he joined, did he want to go with his (rather bossy) best friend and not get a look in (doesn't share, keeps the ball to himself, they get very silly together) or did he want to go meet a new group of friends, possibly feel shy at first, but basically start afresh. He chose the latter.
I've told him if he ditches his team now, I won't be taking him to another and there will be no alternative activities. He's got the kit and everything.
[/rant]
Sorry about that...
Today is sofa day! Den is all ready for it, and I think I might gloss the back door frame while I'm waiting. And maybe the little bit of skirting that's visible too.
Right I'm going to get dressed, before I bash DS...Bossymoo

Valli - hope all the children are healthy today
Ok, so I'm still in PJs but I have done the ironing and cleaned the oven/cooker (only because its being repaired tomorrow and I didn't want them to think I was mucky).
Paid stuff now. Will need to take a mid morning break to shower, oh and I'm having my feet fixed later today. Yuk...
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0
