A couple of my colleagues have succumbed, clearly the decision to close, while not taken lightly, was the right one. I had a session 'playing office' on the other phone which was fun...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

There is a bug going around my dd's school, both of their best friends have had it, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Right. All i have done this morning is put the washing machine on. Been lost in Internet drinking coffee, I am now going to do stuff. I will report back at lunchtime with astonishing progress. Xx0 -
Morning everyone! Ugh Norovirus is nasty, definitely a good decision to close, fingers crossed it doesn't come your way Valli!
I'm not posting my list today until I can say that I've done some of it, and as I'm at work until 4:30 that will be much later!!
I have listed a couple of bits on ebay / Gumtree between clients though, and am still working my way through an admin to do list!0 -
Oh yikes Valli hope you've escaped the buggies
Well i have chewed a frog this morning. I promised myself no more excuses. Hence not checking in here firstI've finally done the last coat of gloss in the kitchen. You know, that kitchen that was installed back in July??? Yes. Lol.
So we are in a bit of a mess, but the woodwork is nice and shiny.
Waiting in for a delivery then I need to pop out.
Then I will clean up, I promiseBossymoo

Morning all. I'm off the paid stuff today and so far I've hoovered right through, run an errand in the nearest town and walked the dogs.
Valli - glad you've missed the germs. I agree with LW, I can clear up after dogs (doing plenty of that with Poppet!) but not children. That was always DH's job.
I can't understand people not paying for work done. Today we are due some people in to do some work. I have cash ready in case they want cash, the cheque book is there in case I don't have enough cash, or I can transfer it straight away. Not rocket science is it?
Going to catch up in a mo with this week's local rags. Poppet is due a sleep.
Going out for a meal with DH later.
Hope everyone is having a great day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

I've picked just over 7kgs of crabapples and am topping and tailing them. I would guess there are about 30 - 40 kgs on the tree this year, the best year ever. Rather satisfying because we planted it after the council gave wild-life friendly plants away 20 years ago and two of ours survived - a holly and this tree. I'm leaving about 20 kgs on the tree this year because there's no way we can eat all that crabapple jelly. And I've still got a dozen jars of crabapple, cider and orange jelly from last year despite giving away loads. Still on the topping and tailing bit though, which is taking quite a bit of time.Better is good enough.0

not quite the virus that is going around but I injured my lower back which has kept me off the board and not as active as I had hoped. Have kept to mostly level 1 to date except the washing of bedding as I can only do that on the weekends when home. Leaving the house by 6:30 am and returning by 7pm each weekday would mean frozen bedding ha ha... no tumble dryer.
Anyways - hope everyone who has been down with bugs are feeling better... hopeful that next week I will be more active than this week!Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!
