Well done to those eating frogs, and get-well/get-paid vibes for others.
I woke up to a huge BD so didn't go to gym class, ridiculous as that always helps. My own fault for having a cheese scone (yummy) at the garden centre earlier in the week - I'm wheat intolerant - sometimes I can get away with it, but not when I'm busy or stressed. Luckily Mr N helped rally me together a bit, and I felt a bit better after doing some gardening (trying not to feel daunted about all the weeds which are still growing but now cold, wet and slimy).
- One load washing done, dried outside and brought in.
- 2 new students booked in for tuition.
- Several items done from 'to-do' list.
- Several emails answered.
- Mr N and I finally got round to enquiring about a new gas tariff we had been alerted to; worth doing as we now pay £14 per month less :T
- We also checked fortnightly web site for flats suitable for MIL as it is confirmed she isn't eligible for the one we hoped for (a new company has swallowed up her Housing Association and the rules have changed). Nothing yet.
- Filled bird feeders
- Picked up more apples.
- emailed a lady who enquired about a saddle I have been trying to sell, suggesting I take it round this w/e to see if it fits.
Now planning a good couple of hours report writing. House blitz will be tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
*Grabs Narc0's BD by scruff of neck and drop-kicks it over roof of bungalow*
Non exactly Flying, but we've decluttered some errands in town; F&V shop done (we now havs 'nanas to have with out bran flakes), Mr LW's owed meds collected, and a BIG bag of coffee beans bought from Wh!ttards, which should last us a month.
Mr LW is currently SOA in front of pc playing The Witcher, and I've just finished today's online surveys (boring, much). If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have washed my car and FINALLY got round to having new tyres fitted, fronts were advisory on MOT. I have also been to tip, which was before the tyre place, and the unit which has been rotting outside all summer has LEFT the garden, also took DS's desk (new bed delivered today) old single duvet, packaging from new bed, mattress covers, both had holes, and old pillow cases. And to Dunelm for new bits for new bed. Excellent Frog work there...

Well done. We are somewhat tidier here. FIL is coming to visit DS tomorrow while DD at ballet so I can get some jobs done. Might go get a cover for the hutch then I can get it outside and sort the conservatory. Squeakers seem happy in their pimped up pen
lol so I think that can be their indoor home now. It has an upstairs heheh just no ramp to reach it yet!!!
Have cleaned bathrooms tonight and we are sorted in the kitchen after dinner - DW needs emptying later though.
Kiddies were beasts and sent to bed before 7. I went up with hot (warm) water bottles and DD was almost asleep. Think that explains her behaviour at least...
I'm now sat in the den with streamed tv on (no aerial) and it keeps buffering. Guess I might go watch the footy in bed eventually - it's irritating me already lol.
Feels I've a lot to catch up with this weekend - although I did get a wash done tonight...
Night all!Bossymoo

Bossy I was just thinking that piggie bedding and gloss paint are a really bad combination!
Phew, what a week. The basics are done at least. I will have to work tomorrow which I hate but needs must. Oh and I made a hair appointment at half eight tomorrow morning which seemed like a good idea at the time.
We are doing an early birthday celebration for DS with some family tomorrow night and I was going to make a cake but I may just go and buy one. Not very MSE I know but I really dont have the time.
A glass of wine and an early night calls.0 -
eeek - DS1 just got jam on his bedroom carpet - and asked if bleach would get it out!!!0

Morning all. You all achieved so much yesterday.
Today DD is coming to stay for the night so I'll set up the room, but she needs to bring her own bedding as our washing machine is broken.
A quietish pottering day planned, it is raining here.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Ionafan, I'm sorry your OH can't drive for the moment because that'll mean you'll be ferrying him around until he gets the all clear, doesn't it? *Healing vibes* for him for both your sakes.
We have to put up a cat-proof fence here as Devil Cat is being tormented by a visitor who has managed to get through our 20 year old defences. This is going to lead to arguments because he hates doing it but has the technical expertise with the drill, and I don't. Happy days.Better is good enough.0
