Vacuumed upstairs, straightened my bed, opened mine and DSs bedroom windows, DS stripped his bed. I put away a load of washing and put another load on, took the OoS to work, painted 2 samples in the hallway and don't like either. Why do my walls make colours strange?
Having a cuppa then will clean up the kitchen before making tea (prawn pasta).
Bathrooms, stairs and hallway are already clear. Might sift through the coats tomorrow for selling on.0 -
We've done fairly well today; bedlinen changed, and the dirty stuff washed and dried; had to use the TD, as it's wet out, and I just don't have enough room for wet bedlinen in our tiny bungalow. Mr LW cleaned the bath and the bathlift, and flicked a duster round the bedroom and the spare room; he's also put the sheep-onna-stick round all the bits he didn't do the other day. Meal plan for next week is a WIP - we have the list of meals, just need to decide what order to have them - this is of course always subject to change at short notice in any case.
Needed to make bread today, so swapped out tonight's egg fried rice for pizza, so as to make pizza dough while the bread machine was to hand (it lives on top of the fridge freezer when not in use).
I hope everyone's managing to avoid the nasty sicky bugs.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi all
Up early to go to the hairdressers, 4 hrs paid stuff done, clean washing put away, another load over the airer, bit of a tidy around. Out for tea with family so just chilling a little before I need to get changed.
Kirsty and Phil on the telly, dog under the blanket with me, DH and DS1 out, DS2 in his bedroom - bliss.0 -
YL can you imagine all the wood shavings stuck to your newly painted skirting
lol. Happily said skirting was in the kitchen and the piggies are in the conservatory.
Have done lots of sorting, they are now in a C&C style cage, the hutch can go outside (although 3 shops didn't have a cover for it, so not yet!) and I've made a better "floor" to insulate them. We just need a ramp so they can get "upstairs" - will ask stepdad if he can help with that one. Much better space and DS had his car mat out with room to play this morning.
Also popped to vet to register them. Cleaned kitchen. Found DD superhero outfit for next Friday - DS wants to be batman so need to sort that for him
Had some family time, played Fifa and mariokart with DS, did some 60 second homework trials - DS was times tables and DD was writing, that was entertaining.
DW is going and I want to stick a wash on - eek school uniform! I've done whites but need to do sweaters and cardis etc...
Also trying to do my online shop - we appear to have almost run out of veg - hmmm who's been eating it all???
Slowly getting the house back in order!Bossymoo

Thanks for BD lobbing Lonewolf, it is cowering in another place.
Horrible weather today so the house blitz went fairly well; downstairs is blitzed including taking all old things off the kitchen pinboard and binning them. Descaled kettle.
- posted some letters
- Mr N and I went through our 'house' and 'documents' box files; binning lots and exclaiming over what our first mortgage and kitchen cost from old receipts! Consolidated into 1 box, all sorted into topics/plastic wallets and I typed a list of what is in there, putting a copy in the Dr0pb0x folder shared with my brother in case he's left sorting our stuff one day. Have the Age Concern document ready to fill in - thanks to whoever suggested it. So that is another folder gone from my frog shelf.
- paid cc bill
-rang bank to sort out a savings account which is currently at a good rate. Had meant to call in to bank as I hate phones, but I don't often go into town so gritted teeth and got it sorted.
- Just sorted out a pile of paperwork from the kitchen.
-friends round so ate some of the cake I made last night.
-dinner in oven so time for a little bit of work before Strictly.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Cat-proof fence up Without An Arguement! A first, so maybe we're learning. Then OH went out to watch rugby and footie on pub tvs while I made crabapple jelly and marmalade and had a two hour telecon with my distraught cousin in Ohio. Nothing I can say is going to change that situation or make it better, is it?Better is good enough.0

Good morning ladies,
Firstly, I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind wishes and empathy regarding the dreaded unpaid invoice. The issue rumbles on, and a lovely friend of mine who is a litigation solicitor has offered to get involved and send the appropriate letters, notices etc. This will hopefully make the barstewards realise we are not to be messed with, and take the issue of non-payment very seriously. They probably assume as we are such a tiny company we couldn't afford to instruct solicitors - little do they know my lovely friend will do it all for us as essentially a pro-bono act through her firm
On the plus side of life, I have been flinging like a woman possessed. Two huge bags to the chazza yesterday, with another to follow tomorrow afternoon the school run. It's recycling bin day tomorrow, so everything that can be recycled will be outta this house!
DH is working away all week, in self-catering accommodation as usual, so I need to get cooking and baking today. Every pound's a prisoner now!
Narco - I hope your BD stays firmly cowering in that corner lovely xx
Ionafan - gentle hugs for your DH (and you, of course) xx
Right, I'm off to strip the bed. Thank you all again ladies, this little corner of the internet really is my sanctuary xx:AMFW
