I am with 3 and am looking at a new deal. Not really keen on the ones on their website but have found a good deal on Fonehouse. That deal is also for a 3 contract meaning I would stay with the same network. I tried entering my PAC code and it said these can only be accepted when moving to a different network so now I am concerned. Really don't want to lose my number. Any ideas? Thanks.

Either phone Three and ask for the same deal to renew. Or move to a one month contract, e.g. Smarty or Labara, and then move back.

Smashing, thanks. I opted to phone three, the deal the offered wasn't quite the same but not far off it so I have gone with that to save any faffing about. I'll definitely remember this tip for the future though. Thanks again.brookhouse said:Either phone Three and ask for the same deal to renew. You’re welcome. Sometimes you just have to convince the network you’re really leaving in order to focus their minds. 😎Roseanne1887 said:

How long did it take EE to phone you after you'd requested your PAC code?
FWIW, ee offered 10gb unltd texts calls on 5g 12month contract for £10 per month so I'm gonna go with that.

If you have Vodafone Broadband but currently don't have a mobile with them, there is a bug that allows you to get a super cheap deal at the moment - but getting to is a bit convoluted.
You need to log into the Vodafone MyAccount page for your Broadband and move from the "dashboard" to "plans". From there you can select the "Get 15% off our SIM only deals" option. It should then drop you straight into an 18month deal on the Red51 plan with double data, AND 50% off. So that's unlimited voice and texts with 100GB of data for £10/month - or is it? Not quite actually, because adding this to your existing account also knocks £3/month off your broadband so that's a U/U/100GB plan for effectively £7/month!
Done this, have the SIM in my phone, and everything set up as of midday on May 23rd!1 -
Is that how they work now? Don't offer the good deals until you request your PAC?brookhouse said:
Never had a problem moving numbers. Request the PAC from EE now, but don't sign up to Plusnet until later today as requesting the PAC may focus EE's mind that you are actually going and get you the deal you want.Brodel said:EE texted me to say they're cancelling my 30 day contract (10gb, ultd texts and calls and free BT Sport for £17/m) and moving me to a new one (40gb, ultd texts and calls for £22/m). I don't need the data and the best they can offer for 10gb is £12/m on a 12 month contract.I'm looking to move to the Plusnet 10gb 30 day contract for £8/m offer that expires today. Has anyone made a similar move? I understand plusnet use the same network so I'm expecting the same but read some horror stories on the first page about moving your number across, albeit from 2016. Any last minute warnings appreciated.
At the moment, the best I've had without requesting a PAC is the deals that appear in the website?0 -
Seems to be the way. When you request the PAC there is a genuine risk of losing you. Seems to focus their minds.1

Gonna give this a go.brookhouse said:Seems to be the way. When you request the PAC there is a genuine risk of losing you. Seems to focus their minds.
Really don't know why the deals I'm being offered are just the same as what's on the website for new customers.
First time I've ever had this with EE0
