The guide on 4Gb-9Gb deals states that with Three’s deal “… you can use your allowance in 71 countries, so it's good for roaming.” I believe this is also true for Three’s 10Gb+ deals AND for Three’s 3Gb-and-under deals. This means that for only £5 per month you can have roaming in 71 countries including USA. Bargain.

I've found 3 willing to negotiate - been using them about 5 years and always pop into the shop at renewal time to haggle.
I have found in the last couple of years however the shop can't or won't match online deals, and I've had to webchat or call to get a deal.0 -

Score!Just been on web chat and signed up for this excellent dealIt doesn't appear on three's website via the normal method - but it IS thereAccording to "accessibility" - three does NOT offer an 8Gb contractThis even allows tethering - which is good

I noticed that the current top pick for SIM card in the 17th March Weekly E-mail is on PlusNet. Just in case anyone is looking at this forum while considering whether to go with them or not, it's worth knowing something about this provider: Although it uses the EE network, which generally has great reception across the UK, Plusnet is very much a second-class citizen on EE. I've been on Plusnet for three years and have been in many situations where I have zero mobile reception whereas people on EE have full 4G in the same place. This includes my own house. When I'm at home, I have to use the wifi to make whatsapp or VOIP calls because I do not have enough signal for a voice call. Hopefully this will help people make an informed choice.0

I signed my husband up to SMARTY (Three network) sim only deal for £6.00 a month ul text and phone calls and 1gb data. No contract. If he doesnt use the data (which he never does) he gets £1.00 back each month.
They have now introduced a friends and family group plan so I have joined his group and we both get 10% discount. I originally had a group plan for £10 pm (plus 10% discount) ul texts and calls and 30gb data but as you are not tied to any contract and I hardly used the data I have changed it from this month to ul text and calls and 3gb data for £8 less £1 back per 1 gb of unused data plus Friends and Family group discount. We can change it up or down whenever we want. It was easy to sign up and using PAC etc.
So we pay from £10.00 to maximum £14.00 pm (less 10% group discount) for two sim only cards and up to 4gb data. Great value.

Yes i can confirm that SMARTY is the best deal out there today, for £10 per month you get 30GB of data and unlimited calls / texts UK I think, if you use this link, you can get one month free;

I'm currently on a 30 day, month to month sim only contract with Plusnet Mobile.That's £8 for 6 Gb data, and unlimited minutes and texts.Plusnet Mobile uses the EE network which seems to be the best for my location.I don't use anywhere near the 6 Gb a month, but prefer to maintain that as 'spare capacity'.My question is....As I'm not having to buy top up 'data packs', or extra allowances.., is it possible on a sim only basis, to buya data/text/minutes allowance in bulk sufficient for , say, a year..., and in doing so obtain a substantial discounton what I'm paying now ?i.e. Current costs per year : 12 x £8 = £96 for 12 x 6 Gb = 72 Gb data & unlimited minutes/texts.versus , say, £50 for 72 Gb chunk of data & unlimited texts/minutes ?0
