Most of these posts are woefully out of date. This forum should have a posting life of a couple of months or so before each post is deleted.
A basic degree of common sense is much better than deleting valuable advice and information on many other matters which has been painstakingly developed over (sometimes) a number of years. It's a VERY bad idea to endcourage even larger hoards of people who pop up regularly to ask or rant about things which are already well documented on here.0 -
My contract with 3 just expired yesterday. Had a look around but ended up phoning the customer retention lime. Got unlimited mins and texts with 8gb of data for £10 a month. 12 month some only. Since not getting a new phone saving £20 a month 😀0

Plusnet is £8.25 a month for 6GB...:cool:0

My contract with 3 ended today. Phoned 3 and spent 10 minutes asking for a PAC before transferring to retention, Took their offer of 600 mins calls, unlimited text and 1gb data for £5 a month. This is a 1 month contract. I am a low user so this is fine and I know 3 is ok in my area.0

I have got a SIM Only Deal with BT for a casual £0.66 per month for 12 GB of Data - Currently £1.64 per month
Go through a cashback site I am going to use Topcashback as an example.
Go onto the page and find the deal that you are wanting before going on Topcashback.
The example here would be BT THE HIGH DATA PLAN SIM Only Plan £15 if BT Customer thus £180 for 12 months.
This gives £65 reward card and currently a JBL Go 2 Speaker worth £29.98 in the BT Store
Then go onto Topcashback and click the link so that it takes you to the retailers website. Currently £60.00 but sometimes tracks at £70 due to 12GB Plan - Luck of the draw.
You should normally complete the purchase on this web page- However it usually works on the original web page after the link has been created. This vitally includes the MasterCard and you end up getting both Cashback and Reward Card, Plus the JBL Speak at the moment.
I then pay for the contract on Santander 123 Lite - Giving me a cashback amount of £5.40 over the year.
Total outlay £180 over 12 months at £15 per month
Moneyback £65 Prepaid MasterCard spend anywhere
Cashback £60 ( Maybe £70)
JBL Speaker £29.98
Cashback from Bank £5.40
£19.98 (£9.62)
£1.67 (83p) PER MONTH0 -
Hi,
I feel that everyone will know the answer to this but me, I have searched for ages to find the answer myself but just got more confused, so I am sure you guys can help.
Basically I have a work phone at the moment that I can use unlimited for free but shortly I am going to a job share and with that we share the work mobile, so I need cheap one for my own use.
I am not a great phone user so just want something to b contactable ect. Soooo my wife has an old Nokia Lumia which would work perfect for me. so I have looked sim only deals and they seem to say that I need to have a PAC number and to get it from my existing supplier. Well I had one about 18 months ago and is long gone. So my question is if I get a sim only card does it not come with a new number which I am fine with, if not how do I get it to work?
Thanks for any help.

Any new connection will come with a new phone number, the PAC is used to change the new number to your existing number if required, in your case you’d just stay with your new number.====0 -
Wow, Three are playing hardball big time over a couple of sim only renewals. They really aren't budging.
Got two contracts with them and I've used the plusnet 1.5gb Unlimited Mins/Texts for £6 to try and get the same for one contract and i've even just asked them to reduce the monthly price of the other one from £7 to £5 and they will not move on that.0 -
I have just moved from EE to Plusnet on a sim only deal promoted by MSE, where the plan comes with £60 prepaid MasterCard. However I’ve not received any email or confirmation that this is on its way. I since called Plusnet and very unconvincingly was told I had to wait 5 weeks. Does anyone have any experience of this promotion?0
