Dont worry my HB, that wont be happening till late summer 2017, and I cant agree with you with the new £5, they are horrid to count, they slip around, the novelty has worn off me, I suppose most money is devalued for me working in a bank, I do get customers who ask not to have the new ones in their change, so I cant be alone, but soon they will be phased out of circulation just like the £1 will be...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. B&M have some half decent savings pots you have to smash/spend a LONG time to fish money out of in at the moment for £1.99 - I bought a fairly plain white one so I can bling it up myself LOL
I think I'm going to TRY to not pay attention to what I chuck in it - that way it will be a pleasant surprise at the end of the year heheheDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

After visiting every pound shop in town I relented and got a pot from a card shop, bit more expensive but very pretty, not going to smash it, will fish out the cash. Starting with £1.70 so it has a bit of a rattle0

Had a very profitable trip to Mr T's today. I bought 4 pairs of christmas socks reduced to 50p each and went to pay at a self service till with a ten pound note.
I don't know if the machine was malfunctioning or if someone left their change behind but I had 9.02 change for a 2 pound spend with a ten pound note, so I gained 1.02.
I also bought a new tin today, so now have the change from the spice girls tin, the 59p my OH owed me and change from my shopping today all in the tin. About a fiver is in there so am already on my way.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
