Hi all, long time no see! I've changed the old fivers and pound coins in my pot and got a new one, doing pretty well so far with my potting, I'm encouraging my granddaughters to do have a sealed pot, they're doing pretty well too.I emptied youngest DGD's pot yesterday and she's got just over £50! She was saving for an ipad but I think she's changed her mind now. DGS is having his for his holiday next month (although I don't know how much money an 17 month old will be able to spend on his own!) Hope everyone's ok and hugs to those who aren't xxSealed Pot Challenge member 28

Morning potters!
I seriously havent known were my backside is these last few months  The parents went on a 3 month holiday in December so ive had to cope without my mums help and its been bloomin hard, plus ive had to look after their house while they've been gone (their insurance insisted on at least weekly visits) so ive been cream crackered for most of the start of this yearThey came back last week though so hopefully I should be able to pop my head round the door a bit more!
Unfortunately, its not me thats got all the £2 coinsI am also finding them very hard to come by, my poor £2 coin tin sounds very forlorn when I do manage to get my hands on one.
DS is currently my new best friend as we have bought him (by us I mean me, with MY money that I saved from the last 6 years of birthday and christmas money I got given) a scooter for his 16th birthday in 2 months. Well actually, this scooter has more strings attached than a harp . . . he has got his motorbike gear, CBT and licence for his birthday and I own a nice shiny scooter that he may borrow IF I get the GCSE revision and results I wantShould I be extremely pleased with him, on his 17th birthday I will give him the scooter to upgrade to a 125cc, should I be unhappy with him I shall sell the scooter on his 17th birthday and keep the money and he can fund his own upgrade . . .
It's currently parked right outside the back door so he can see it every time he goes outside . . . just to remind him . . . :rotfl:
In other news, youngest has now developed quite severe anxiety when put in stressful situations like school plays and karate tests. She now sleepwalks the night before and ends up in floods of tears when she has to stand up and do anything.DH is now not allowed to attend any of her tests or plays as it makes her worse and we have got her fiddle toys to try and divert her attention while shes sat waiting. Hoping she'll grow out of it but got to keep putting her in the situations so we can teach her how to cope with it
Thankfully, once we calm her down, she can get through but under no circumstances can we look at her during any of these things so I spend a rather boring hour - hour and a half staring at the floor during testing, cant even play a game on my phone cos she thinks im taking pictures!
In potting news, its going slowly as im trying to pay off the last bit of the credit cards which should be this month, then the serious saving will start! Am potting the odd bit of change when I can though.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Afternoon all.
Sue has contacted me and asked me to let you all know that she has had a fall. She is battered and bruised, but she will be back when she can. In the meantime, we are all in charge :money: Sue, if you are reading this, please get well soon, we promise to behave :T
Lost2, what an amazing total for March, imagine how much you will have by the end of this challenge. Keep it up :T
dreamtruce, of course you can join us, as you can see above, our leader Sue is not about at the moment, but she will give you a number when she pops in. Don't let the lack of a number stop you from starting your pot and keep coming back to update us all on your progress. You will find some tips on starting in the first post on page 1. Welcome :money:
Lilyflower7, so sorry to hear that your pot was stolen last year. That's shocking. do you already have a number? Keep coming back to update us and if you haven't got one, Sue will allocate you one when she pops in.
Lucyhope, it's great to hear that you are making good habits for your granddaughters. I put a money tin in all of my nieces and nephews Christmas Eve boxes last year, so hopefully they are using them. Keep potting :T
MLE007. Excellent potting, keep going, all those coins add together :j
Money Rollercoaster, all coins are better in the pot than hanging around in your car
Jakes-mum, I hope your parents had a great holiday, but I bet you are happy that they are home. I hope Jake works hard for his scooter :money: sorry to hear that your daughter is having a hard time but it's good to hear that she is still taking part in events even though it's hard for her.
Rightio, I better go. I'll be back later.
