I am not entirely sure to be honestI had a number on this thread under my old username however for personal reasons I felt a new account would be better for me. So I'm not sure if I need to keep my old number (which I'm not particularly attached to and can't even remember
) or if I can get reallocated a new number? I will wait for Sue to make the decision
And yes, while shocking, I was more heartbroken than anything. I didn't count what I potted so I don't have an exact sum, but I worked out it would have been around £200-£250 in that pot.
Sue-UU I'm so sorry to hear about your fall! I hope you feel better soon and look forward to seeing you back in SPC when you've recovered!SPC #119: £86 banked

Thank you 32b hun.....I will try to take care of myself....The next thing I'm battling with is my sleeping....LoL, it's always something isn't it? But it's nearly half midnight and I've been up for over an hour and haven't had nearly enough sleep....but not to worry, it'll get sorted one way or the other... at least I can get in some extra work while I'm awake
Managed to Pot £3.15 this evening...So I'm pleased with that...Hopefully will be able to Pot a bit more after I've sorted out my Wages when they hit my Bank Account in the early hours this morning....
Hope everyone is well....Sue, still thinking about you and hoping you are managing to relax and get better....
*Hugs* to anyone that needs them... xXx0 -
Hello everyone!
I was a participating member on here a few years back, and thought I'd pop back on and say hi! Haven't you all been doing well!?
Although I'm no longer an official 'potter', I am currently potting in earnest! I decided I didn't much like the new £5 notes so I bought one of those pots from the shop where things cost £1 and decided any I got given could go in there (along with £2 coins which I'm also not very fond of!) I started potting on New Year's Day and plan to hack in to my pot on New Year's Day next year. The Flat Deposit Fund is coming along nicely but I've decided I need a jolly good back-up fund so would like to try and save £3,000 to sit comfortably in an account once I have a mortgage in case of emergency. So that's my aim for the year. So whilst I'm not officially part of the SPC challenge, I didn't think you'd mind if I just dropped in and gave a little wave!
Happy potting!xxx

Morning potters!
Sue - hope you are feeling better very soon, that's nasty :-(
In the last couple of weeks I've potted a good handful of shrapnel in the odd sods tin, a £2 coin and 5 x £1 coins in the ££s tin and 2 x shiny new £1 coins in the new £coin tin.
I've had a couple of plastic fivers but had to use them boo hoo.
I'm going to open my old £coin tin at the end of May I think and get them changed up.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

Hello, mind if I join? I'm very prone to impulse spending any cash that I have, so think a sealed pot is my best shot for saving anything for longer than a month! Managed to sell some old books yesterday for £6, so I'll pot that now.

Oooooooh, mummytummy, you've convinced me! Sue-UU, may I request a number? (When you are back with us - I hope you are taking good care of yourself and recovering well.) I think being a fully-fledged member again will encourage me to save even more - I'm going to go for a target of £1,000 towards the Emergency Fund!
Ha ha, Frogletina, I was waiting for that! I got my first new one pound coin this morning and I think they will have to be popped in the tin too, I just can't accept these mixed coins in my life yet - like, what are they!? Are they gold!? Are they silver!? It's too much!
Happy saving, everyone! And thanks for welcoming me back so warmlyxxx
