Bossy the piggies are gorgeous! I sometimes looked after some - plus rabbits, budgies and cats - for a girl I worked with, whenever she went on holiday. I could have some very interesting conversations with the piggies - they do "talk" quite a bit. :o

    :(:(:( That's not nice!

I'm afraid Flying hasn't happened today; we had four errands to do in town - get my prescription filled, visit the F&V market, visit AhGosh for water filter cartridges and visit Moribunds for groceries that I can't get in Herr A's establishment; after that lot, I'm afraid my energy levels were at the "running on fumes" stage.

Rather alarmed that birds are clearly so used to my dirty window (dirty from their bits of spat seed etc) that now it's clean, a starling just crashed into it but thankfully flew off! There's flying and there's flying......

A day late, but leaf raking has also started here - two black sacks already stuffed full and the sycamore hasn't even started. I've crammed the last of the bargainacious violas and pansies into pots, so apart from a sack of daffodil bulbs I shouldn't have bought (not at all sure where they're going to go) the only thing left to do is sweep up and then all the outdoor flying that needed to be done is done. Good-oh.

We're going through an extraordinarly long dry period here so I'm still watering the tree down the road but it does mean that washing is up to date. Five loads over the last couple of days. Excellent.

I spent Tuesday giving both letting rooms and the shower room a thorough clean, even dewebbing them all, together with the stairs and corridor so all I've got left to do is the carpet sucking. How can I have been so busy yet have so little flying to report? It's a complete mystery but at least I've caught up with Fred.

    Happy Thursday Flyladies!

    :T:T:T:T:T That's a LOT of flying - well done!

  • Evening,

    Monday list all done
    Bog and sink cleaned
    Bedroom sort of tidied
    Bedroom hoovered
Small bit of floor in girls room that is visible also hoovered
    Dog walked
    Swim swum
    Macdoodies eaten:embarasse

But all in all not a bad day. Back to the paid stuff tomorrow, and a long day of it as I'm going to a stupid workshop thing, and judging by the train times I don't think I'll be home until after seven. Which is just unacceptable!

right, off to bed, I'm tired, but in a good way. Night all xx

Thank you for the good wishes for the op HB and Biscuit - much appreciated. It all seems to be going as expected atm, though a bit sore, blurry and itchy.

Only flying done today was the dailies and packing up some recycling.

Yawn....Just up to beddy-byes. Another long day with exciting building work. Had a partial collapse of a non-load bearing wall that took out the lighting circuit, but uncovered some more beautiful beams, so that balanced things out.

I really love project managing the work. I'm excited each day to see what is revealed, but nervous about the extent of work required.

Currently researching air compressor guns to see if soda stripping is something I could do....hmmmm....

Glad your op went well, Lynne. Try not to rub your eyes!
Dizzy, it all sounds very exciting :j
Well done on the room turnarounds and gardening, HB :T

We had a pleasant evening out: nice steak meal and thought-provoking, sometimes funny, theatre performance about coping with Grandad's dementia. A bit too close to home for some people in the audience, though (and for me at times).

Got bed stripped eventually, all washing done and dried, and bed remade. Also did some proper work towards my essay.

    Tomorrow I have to
    - take DH to play trains all day (Steam Gala)
    - buy eggs, butter and maybe some other cake ingredients
    - cook chicken in SC
    - make hair and eyebrows appointments for the week after next (SW ball)
    - continue with essay work
    - collect DGD1+2 from school
    - bake cakes with them
    - cook tea for them and me
    - collect DH
    - give him tea
    - take him to wargames club in the church hall
    - go to choir practice in the church
    - bring DH home with me

See you sometime, but maybe not until Saturday x

Bedding is in the WM. I've done some work. I'm just trying to summon up the enthusiasm to go for a run, as once I've had my breakfast I have to wait for a couple of hours and there isn't time for that today.
