There has been an actual physical fight in my work over a box of Quality Street. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We get lots of gifts from Customers and instead of sharing it out the receptionist likes to keep it all to herself. A lot of us don't deal with the actual customers so only a few get the gifts and they don't share it out which is so unfair as we all do the work.
One of the boys said he was taking a tin of Quality Street home for his family and she said no he was not and wrestled it off him. So funny - they've actually proper fallen out now - over a bottle of Quality Street! :rotfl:0 -
Salmon sounds like it will be lovely Maman, most of the time I just squeeze some lemon and add soy sauce or balsamic vinegar to it before I put it in the oven.0

Fighting over sweeties - what ever next. How silly. At my work, we used to keep any goodies given from November onwards and we had a lucky dip with them. Each item got a raffle ticket stuck to it and the stubs were folded up and kept in an old tin. On the designated date, the number of "prizes" was divided by the number of staff and that is how many tickets you took out of the tin. When you unfolded your tickets, the number on it corellated with one of the gifts. It worked well and although you could get 3 tins of biscuits, I often ended up with a nice mixture of wine, chocs, biscuits and occasionally whiskey. Any remainder items were put out as a free for all in the staff room.
Anyway, today at class +1/2LB not too bad considering.
Enjoy your evenings.0 -

Now I can understand why you're looking for another job lantanna. What a shower! I do hope you feel better soon.:)
Disastrous WI and I gained 3.5lbs.The infuriating bit about it is it takes me half a pound over target!:mad::mad:
I know it's come from meals out, party food, pizza and birthday cake but what a week to expect to lose anything!
I'm still considering whether to carry on with Christmas treats or to 'make wise choices' (as the consultant suggested) and try to get rid of that half pound. It's not the £5, I'm just angry with myself or moreso my DH! He (unhelpfully) pointed out that he didn't make me eat the food while reassuring me how lovely I still look (insert rolled eyes smiley). I'm blaming him because although I put out the box of Shreddies with my SW book next to it in the kitchen to remind him he made me a huge bowl of porage for breakfast.
Sorry for the rant. I just need to decide what to do. Any other time of the year I'd go all out to get back in range but....
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: ham, fried potato, pickles, salad leavessausage and mash, fried onions, cabbage, carrots
Syns: squirt of syrup, 2 syns for sausages0 -
I would just continue with Christmas Maman as normal and then get back on it day after Boxing Day. You could have that half pound off in the morning.
I know how you feel lose its frustrating and then another few on would make you feel worse. But def enjoy Christmas as planned anyway! Crisp sandwich the lot!0
