Wow lantanna your work colleagues sound like a nightmare (well, some of them!) Not much Christmas spirit in their lives.

maman give yourself a break, enjoy Christmas and then deal with the gain afterwards, it won't take you long to shift it.

Well done to Matron Midge on SOTW! :T

I was on track for a small loss this week but two days at my parents and I'm certain my good work is completely undone! Since stepping through thh door I have been offered mince pies, biscuits. After Eights (my favourites!), Quality Street, other sweeties, ice cream, crisps, cheese, wine, homemade bread fresh out of the oven, peanuts, cupcakes, passion cake and wine to name but a few. I have refused a lot but still put away two packets of crisps, two cupcakes and some cheese over the two days. Damn it!

Weigh-in is on Saturday so we'll see what the damage is.

Edited to add: I just remembered I had a fair few After Eights too!

Maman - that's really annoying, this week of all weeks:(. Think that was why I decided to weigh last week and not this week! I was only just inside target range so didn't risk it today!

Enjoy Christmas and then get back on the wagon. You'll soon shift the pounds after.

We had tasters this morning and I've probably had a full day's syns already:rotfl:.

    It's a Green day today:

    B - tasters
    L - cheese on toast (HEA/HEB)
    D - chickpea & aubergine curry/rice

Other HEA will be milk. Not sure about the other HEB but maybe some crackers.

    Hi all

Just back from the hairdressers so that should mean half a pound off on the scales! :rotfl:

Maman - the gain could be down to the porridge, it's quite dense. I'd advise what others have said, enjoy Christmas and start afresh when it's over.

Bettyboof - it sounds your Mum might be a 'feeder', showing love with food. It's very hard to resist when she might take it as rejection of her love. Then again, she could just be doing what everybody does - buying up the whole shop like we're preparing for a siege.

Lantanna - you have my sympathy, working in a place like that. I hope you're feeling better and haven't got the sickness bug.

Our cupboards are full of nibbles that I bought so we've got something to offer anyone that comes round for a drink, but the temptation is getting a bit too much for us both, last night we opened the cocktail biscuits and shared a bowl of them.

    Have a good evening.

  • Lois I think you are right - both my parents like to kill you with kindness. They are both slim and have a "it's Christmas!" attitude so it's hard to resist. When I do say no they say "oh you are good" and have commented on my weightloss positively so it's all coming from a good place thankfully. Spag Bol for dinner (made from scratch and packed with veggies) so that's something at least! :D

Same here but I only ate one raspberry!:D Must admit I felt like giving one to the WI lady, not that it was her fault of course.:o

I think you're right about the porridge lois. I'm sure if I weighed now I'd have lost that pesky half pound. Thought of you this afternoon. There was a poster in Aldi apologising that Little Gem lettuces weren't available due to heavy rain in Spain!:rotfl:

Thanks for all the advice, much appreciated. I'm not going to let it spoil Christmas but it probably means another gain next week and maybe even the week after before I can get sorted. Too late to worry now.:)

We've been shopping this afternoon and AFAIK all the shopping's done so the next few days should be quite calm just getting food prepping done. There'll only be four of us for Christmas but I like to get as much done in advance as possible.

Hope all is well with everyone:A.

    Hi all,

Last day at work today until 3rd Jan. (It will only be until about 12), can't see the point really, as there won't be much to do!

Am going down to Asda later (George) with the DH to get something for me for Christmas, then a food delivery is coming later this afternoon.

Having my nails done at 5.00, which DH referred to as "a waste of money", not mentioning the amount he spends on takeaways lol!

Had them done before with acrylic, but didn't go back as the Salon charged the same price for infills as the full set, whereas this other place (Nails4U) only charge £15.00 for the infills. Hopefully will turn out ok and I will post up a pic.

Catch you all later - have a good day! xx
