    Hi all

Ooh I'm so excited to be SOTW, I think that's my first time :D

Thanks for the chart Shala and thanks everyone for your congratulations.

Maman - it would be very easy to throw caution to the wind, the opportunities to eat and drink are endless here, but I'm determined to earn my place on that target member sofa.

I'm being distracted by Rillington Place so apologies for the short post.

    Back tomorrow.

Hoping the dentist is ok today lush, can't stand them myself after a few bad experiences!

Have woken up feeling a bit rubbish and think I've finally succumbed to the lurgy that's going round the office. Have dragged myself into work as I've got so much to do today. On the plus side, I don't appear to have much of an appetite but here's my plan anyway:

    B - Alpen light (1/2 HEB), clementines
L - Tomato soup, carrot sticks, pear, apple
D - Bolognese, pasta, cheese (HEA), salad
S - Quark with options (2.5 syns), strawberries, alpen light (1/2 HEB)

Not going to syn the lempsip's I'm going to have as I probably won't eat half of what I've written above so would be in a calorie deficit anyway. Hope you all have a good day.

1/2 pound loss this week. Happy at that. Was expecting a gain. Don't have much on this coming week festive wise so no excuse really not to stick to plan as best I can. Hope everyone has a great day.

I've just rejoined SW online (not interested in going to a class even though I'm surrounded by them where I live, including the one I originally attended 12+ years ago) - does this thread continue beyond Christmas or will a new one appear? I'd like to have multiple opportunities to try and keep on the straight and narrow. Rejoining now probably isn't the best idea but I decided to act instead of just thinking about it for another 3 weeks. I'll use the run-up to New Year to get my head back around things.

Welcome, yes we will have a new thread for the New Year. There is a mix on here of people who do and don't attend a class. Damage limitation is what I would say is the good thing about joining now!

The green tea quest continues here!

Just noticed how bad I am doing overall in the challenge but I actually feel I am doing well, I've lost most of that hideous gain I had, Ive stopped gaining, I'm feeling and looking less bloated and the scales haven't changed much but I'm def looking smaller in the mirror and back in a good gym routine which I'm enjoying again. I'm feeling brighter, happier and more positive! And its December!!!! the hardest month of the year!

This time last year I was two stone lighter yes - but spent the entire month of December in the land of the wine and cheese and felt horrendous by the time January came round.

Remember folks its all always about the number of the scales - lots of non scale victories happening for us all. Make sure you praise yourself for all your good choices be they food or non food related and focus on being happy and healthy too!
  • Lantanna - I'm the same, clothes fit better and have yoyo-d a bit recently.

Breakfast was my chocolate porridge - made with 40g oats (heb) 125ml semi skimmed (1/2 hea) and a freddo (5) plus cup of tea (35ml ss from hea)

I didn't get to make soup so lunch will be a mugshot (free) and two satsumas if I can manage it

no idea on tea yet - probably chicken pasta bake with spinach and veggies as previously planned for me

dentist soon - trying to stay relatively calm about it; doubting they will pull today (plus better finance wise for me if they don't!) so will just get it booked in asap (get paid Monday then claim them back which takes a week usually probably longer with Christmas break etc)

  • Thanks Shala for the chart and well done Lois - I must put more effort into doing the 777 challenge next year!

I'm signing off now for the rest of the year....I'm away over the Christmas & New Year period but I've promised myself that although I will enjoy myself I won't be stupid ...ideally I would live to go back to class and hit the 2 stone loss mark ( hence the 6lb in 4 weeks question) but in reality I'd settle for a small - if any - gain.

Thanks for all your words of encouragement - have a great Christmas and a Happy 2017 ....already looking forward to the next challenge!!

    Thanks gts. Enjoy your break.:xmassmile

:T well done on your loss FE. Not easy to come by at this time of the year.

I had far too many syns last night so line is drawn and back on plan at least for a couple of days until next temptations.

Glad you're on the green tea lantanna, I'm hitting the water today as far too much Merlot last night.

Welcome MrsShazbat. There'll be a few changes to SW since 12 years ago. You might want to consider going to a group as a one off and paying £10 to get a new set of books and the basic introductory talk. Now would be a good time to go as it'll be manic in January.:)

Hope all goes well at the dentist lush. :)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold chicken, fried veg and pickles
D: smoked cod, SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and green stuff (mange tout, peas and broccoli)
    Syns: NONE!
