  • Well done everyone on your losses. Hugs to those that need them.

Saturday was soooo off plan it was insane. Worth it though. The 2 day hangover was not worth it!

Second 12 hour day shift where I've had about 4 hours sleep. I'm incredibly sleepy... Last one and then get a whole 24 hours off. Yay!

Have you a Pure gym near you Lush? I changed from my council one to a Pure gym and its gym at £18.99 a month. Also open 365 days 24 hours a day so it means I can go before work as the council one didn't open early enough for that.

We don't we have a Gym 24 I think it's called. I can't go before work though (as have littlie to get up and to nursery and by the time I can get her in there (and be presentable myself) there's no time for anything else. I often wonder about joining one I can use on my lunch hour but I don't want to smell at work! Plus some weeks (or even months depending on whats on at work) I'd not be able to go.

Found the work out DVD I wanted, Charlotte Crosby 3 minute belly blitz, used on Amazon for 1/3rd the price so ordered that last night using a gift card credit I had on my account from returning a dvd boxset I'd bought for hubs (wrong season of the show) that should be here by the end of the week. It has great reviews and you don't have to do the whole thing straight away you work up to doing it all as it's in 3 minute segments (plus warm up and cool down. there 12 active sections in total plus a bonus 10 min abs set) plan is to do it 3/4 times a week alongside healthy eating. there's meal ideas for a calorie restrictive diet (1250 cals) on there which I won't follow to the letter but I will take ideas from there and build them in :) Like I say it has people getting fab results, even if they are active already. It helps tone all over too which is exactly what I need. she also does a bum blitz dvd too so I may get that later down the line (big problem area for me :rotfl:)

    Today:
on getting up: mocha (1 syn) with 25ml semi skimmed. a party ring biscuit (1.5syn) had the biscuit as I could feel my blood sugar ebbing a bit - always struggle with it when I'm on my pill break :/
breakfast: will be a mullerlight (free flavour) with a Satsuma and an apple
lunch: my pasta bake-ish made yesterday (pasta, chicken, mushroom, pepper, onion and chopped tomatoes - I left the cheese off in the end!) with spinach, pickled onion, cherry tomatoes.
tea: quarter pounder beef burger (app says average is 7.5 syns) with my HeB wholemeal roll and a slice of cheese (3/will call it part HeA if I have no milk at work) served with spinach, tomatoes, pepper, mushroom and onion (both baked as the burgers cook)
evening: cup of tea before bed

plan is for a walk on lunch to collect my engagement ring from the jewellers (its been off getting cleaned and re-plated) however hubs has a meeting about a course he applied for at work which may run over so I may have to go and collect little one instead

Congratulations Lois on SOTW, and well done to all the other losers!

Had a wonderful weekend in Prague with the husband and ate and drank what I liked (hence the gain in week 5!) Back on it now and trying to stick to plan as much as possible except for the odd Christmas event here and there. Although saying that, our work one has been cancelled on Friday because of the train strikes, and heaven forbid anyone would want to spend time with their colleagues sober!

    Today's plan is:

B - Porridge (HEB and HEA) with cinnamon, apple
L - SW Tomato soup (think I put one too many pickled onions in it so hope to rescue it somehow today!), carrot sticks, pear
D - Chinese (chicken in oyster sauce and boiled rice for 5 syns?)

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Hello Everyone,

Haven't posted for a while, but have been lurking every now and then. Well done to all the losers and thanks as always for the chart. I'm pleased to report that I'm within 0.5 lbs of the bottom end of my target, I have been following the plan 5 days a week, with a little more give and take on 2 days, this seems to work for me and I am going to stick to this to maintain. In saying this I am going to have at least 4 days off over the Christmas festivities. If I don't plan beforehand then I'm worried I won't be able to reign it in.

Swam a mile today so feeling pretty good!!

:T well done lois on SOTW. Delighted for you as it would have been easy to get to Spain and socialise and leave SW behind.

That looks like a good menu for today lush. I'm assuming the burger is in the freezer to be used up. When you do need to replace them the Sainsbury's BGTY quarter pounders at 1 syn are to be recommended.

Sounds like a good plan for maintaining arkers. I tend to have almost all my syns from Friday evening until Sunday then get back on it 100% in the week (until things like Christmas get in the way:xmassmile.) It works for me and it's obviously working for you.:)

DH wants to go to a Caribbean bar/restaurant this evening so don't know what my dinner will be. We'll be out whatever happens so it'll be off plan to an extent.

    EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried egg, ham, tomatoes, mushrooms
    L: lentil and veg soup
    D: tba
    Syns: probably far too many

Well done Lois on SOTW and thanks Shala for the chart - no way I'm going to be anywhere near my target this time! As long as I can rein it in today and tomorrow hoping for a STS or small loss (preferably a small loss so I don't need to weigh in until New Year!

    Today's plan:

B - toasted bacon sandwich (no mushrooms left or would have them as well); HEB + 2 for butter; 1 for brown sauce
L - butternut squash soup; persimmon (which needs using up even though only bought today); tangerine
D - sort since & veg hotpot thing - mince, onions, garlic, carrots, mushrooms, peppers, stock and then topped with sliced potatoes. Will probably serve with the last of the cabbage.

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - butter 2; brown sauce 1. No other syns planned

ooh thanks for the heads up maman - I'll be sure to grab some after pay day :) I'm not always one for a burger but sometimes it's just what I fancy so they'll be handy as OH is getting more suspicious now of the SW ones (he can work out there's a little hint of a kick but isn't sure what it is exactly...I haven't told him they've got chilli in!)

no walk at lunch as I had to go pick littlie up

dentist tomorrow and fingers crossed she'll either just take the tooth straight out or book me in super soon to have it taken away. I'm anticipating being a tad uncomfortable after that so I'm planning tomorrow to look something like this:
breakfast: porridge with a freddo in (naughty but distraction from the evil dentist haha - my SW consultant is currently obsessed with chocolate porridge, today she had caramac buttons and an advent calendar chocolate in it. doesn't sound too appetising to me but I'm going to melt a freddo in to mine haha)
lunch: expecting to either still be miffed with my tooth....or be very numb so I'm hoping to make a pan of soup tonight whilst tea cooks/we eat then I'll blend it before putting littlie to bed. then I can have yummy nutritious soup and can heat it up then let it cool a little before consuming.
tea: depending on how I am either more soup with some shredded chicken or maybe some pasta bake like today if I can chew!

Just had an email to say my workout DVD has been dispatched. I know what I'll be doing from the weekend ;) was going to wait until new year but why not start now?! *feels angelic*

  • I've just rejoined SW online (not interested in going to a class even though I'm surrounded by them where I live, including the one I originally attended 12+ years ago) - does this thread continue beyond Christmas or will a new one appear? I'd like to have multiple opportunities to try and keep on the straight and narrow. Rejoining now probably isn't the best idea but I decided to act instead of just thinking about it for another 3 weeks. I'll use the run-up to New Year to get my head back around things.
