Well another wet and miserable day, but, fortunately quite warm considering.
This is my Friday's menu plan.
Breakfast.. porridge A/B mixed berries and a banana.
Lunch.. veg and lentil soup cheese A salad sandwich 6. Syns Apple
Dinner roast beef salad beetroot. Clementine
Extra 2 Ryvita 3 Syns crumpet 6 Syns.
15 Syns..
Wiz: That looks like an EE day there but you've counted 2 HEAs (one with breakfast and one with lunch) so one or the other will need to be synned unless you're only having half at each!
If they're both full HEAs then it's another 6 syns to add - or not have the crumpet! Could you have something like a ham sandwich instead of cheese?
Or have I got that wrong and it's actually a Green day with a small amount of roast beef as 2nd HEB?

So had a busy day today, dr appointment, volunteering at a food bank and Christmas shopping so food today has been pretty naff.
B - salted caramel hifi
L - none
D - spag Bol
Snacks - jelly tots (5), Aldi melts (4), oat cookies (2)
HeA - cheese triangles
HeB - hifi and oats
Not much came of my Drs appointment, they think my fatigue is more mental health related than physical.. Meh!
Christmas party so Syns will be through the roof.. So much so, I'm not counting them!! Xx0 -
Lush - I think you've made the right decision about not going to group when finances are so tight. I question whether I can justify paying but the group I was going to was great fun as was the consultant. She only started this year so she's still very enthusiastic and she seemed genuinely disappointed when I told her I was leaving so I ended up promising to return in the spring when I get back to the uk. It doesn't sound like your consultant is any help when she doesn't give you any advice or support when you're struggling.
Thanks Lois; it all started so well but the more weeks I am in to my journey the less actual support I get and she gives me more of the 'well there must be something you're missing...' 'something is sneaking in...' blah blah blah.
another day of eating next to nothing so that's no use
really need a fresh start tomorrow so I'm going for:
breakfast: 40g heb oats made in to porridge with milk (from hea) and water. with an apple and satsuma
lunch: jacket potato with prawns, spinach, tomatoes, snack pepper. mullerlight
tea: not 100% probably either baked haddock with boiled eggs, spinach, tomatoes or pork steaks (I think its pork steaks i'm defrosting...or it may be gammon!) with the same.
apples, satsumas, grapes available to snack on. will probably add some chocolate spread or golden syrup to the porridge (2-4 syns)
need to work out a meal plan really as I'll need to get some protein/meat of some kind in for evening meals.
sunday - chicken roast (syns for small Yorkshire pudding and gravy)
Monday - leftover chicken with salad for me - will buy some burgers and buns for the others
Tuesday - fish and salad for me (freezer food for hubs/littlie)
Wednesday - sausages (0.5 syn) with mash (free) and veg. similar for the others
Thursday - group; will take some cold chicken and omelette muffins (eggs, peppers, ham, tomatoes, spinach) need to sort the others
Friday - not sure yet************************************

That's OK Wiz - we all look out for each other and try and spot if anything is wrong. I've been doing SW for 6.5 years now and still don't always get it right. That's one of the reasons I like to post my menus in case anyone else spots a boo boo!
It's a horrible day here today, wet and miserable but still mild.
Today is a Green day:
B - Toasted Bacon and mushroom sandwich HEB1 + 4 syns- (1.5 1 slice bacon; scrape butter 2; tsp brown sauce 0.5)
L - egg salad
D - cauliflower cheese (HEA1/HEB2); rice pudding (using Almond milk for both)
HEA2 - 300ml 1% milk in tea throughout the day
Syns 4 as above; wine
Will probably go over on syns again today but just rein it in during the week as usual, LOL!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Morning
Made it through another 777 day so I make that 3 out of 4 which isn't too bad. Speed foods are no problem, I generally have more than 7 in a day, and I've been making a determined effort to drink herbal tea in preference to tea or coffee and I've also had some NAS squash to up my water intake. It's the Syns that are a struggle (no surprise there) when there are so many opportunities to drink. We're out again tonight and I'm going to drink tonic again and try for 4 out of 5.
Lush - I sometimes think you might not be eating enough. I know it sounds odd to say that when we're all trying to lose weight but I've heard it said before so there must be something in it.
Beanie, hope you had a good time.
Right, lunch is ready, have a good weekend.

Well with a 1 lb loss I reached my challenge target and my club 10....talk about taking it to the wire!!
I've got 6lb to my 2 stone mark .....would it be really unachieveable to think about getting it the next time I weigh in - which will be 4 weeks today??0 -

:T well done on your loss and your Club 10 gts.
6ibs in a month is very achievable BUT....it depends how much you can stay on plan with Christmas in that four weeks. All you can do is try!;)
I think we all watch out for each other here wiz, just like denise says. I find the thread invaluable as it makes me plan my days and be accountable and I love being able to ask questions from such a knowledgeable group.
Good luck with the tonic tonight lois. I'm going to a dance where I won't be drinking (clear head needed for complicated dances) so I'll probably stick to water or NHS squash.
I feel your frustration lush. on such a tight budget you really can't be wasting money on going to a group that isn't helping you. You know the plan as well as any of us so 'back to basics' has to be the answer and maybe trying out some EESP meals or days and a version of 777 or at least plenty of water. If I look at your plan for the week ahead there does seem to be a lot of juggling with different meals for you and the family though. Fine if you have freezer food to use up for them as that'll save you money but not good if you have to buy in different things plus you have enough stress without that. I'm not forcing my DH to do SW but he does eat SW evening meals. He can please himself with lunches as he has sandwiches or snacks and he can have sugary muesli for breakfast when I'm having Shreddies but cooking different meals is a step too far for me. I know I'm a bossy c*w but it never did me (or him) any harm.
My lunch out yesterday was better than expected syn wise. I had fishcake starter and cod main but had cheeseboard again. Wine syns were lower than I'd have had at home as waiter was pouring very measly glasses.:(
Today I've had my SW breakfast (ham, fried egg, HEB toast, tomatoes, mushrooms). I'll be out at lunchtime but will eat SW when hungry (JP perhaps). This evening is a buffet so will hope that veggie bits and fruit are available amongst the quiches and vol au vents!:)0 -
I'm of the strong opinion that the class leader is definitely the X factor ....fortunately I've got a lovely class leader who will support you throughout the week if you're struggling.
LLS - have you looked at your council gyms? I know mine do a monthly package which can be tailored to your wants. So for example I've got the swimming package at the moment and it £20 pm which means I can go to the pool any time as well as any of the Aquafit classes. I've worked it out I only have to go 7 times and after that I'm saving money.
I'm thinking of upgrading to include the gym package which would mean it would cost £28 per month but as well as the swimming etc I could go to the gym and any gym classes.0
