I'm rooting for you beanie. Hope the scales are kind tonight.

I did add a couple of carrots to the sweet potato mash. It was very sweet but DH loved it as he has a sweet tooth. I have enough sweet potatoes to do another serving and I'll try ordinary potato with that then I'll know which we prefer. Just added a bit of white pepper. We really enjoy carrot and swede mash on a cottage pie. I've taken to making it up on a Sunday, having half with our roast and prepping the cottage pie at the same time. It saves time on Monday which is always a bit rushed for us. If I have enough HEA spare I like to put some grated cheese on top and put it in the oven to crisp up.

Football tonight so that means half a Crunchie. I had some chocolate last night too. Not pleased with myself but if it keeps me off the wine syns I'll live with it. 3 or 4 syns of chocolate had to be better for me than (at least) a glass of wine.

DH gave me cereal for breakfast this morning as he'd assumed I was going to WI which I wasn't. I'll try and get one more in before Christmas but not today.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: lentil and veg soup, cold pork and pickles
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: half Crunchie and probably some Parmesan
  • Had a really carp day yesterday.....dropped the car off for a service and ended up having to have £600 worth of work done.

To add insult to injury, when I tried to drive it later that night the damn thing wouldn't start....nice AA man jump started it for me, drove off and when I went to give it a run, I managed to stall it and it wouldn't start again.

Hubby then spent an hour trying to get the battery out so he could charge it but it's failed to start today so that's another £75 for a new battery.

    Never rains eh?

Not sure what the menu will consist of today - had my usual breakfast & lunch - but I'm sure I'll find something SW friendly

Good luck tonight, maman. I'm not sure about that half crunchie and parmesan; strange combination, lol.

gts, that's just typical for a car!

A result this morning at WI - actually managed a 0.5lb loss! Must have done enough damage limitation over the last few days! Just another 0.5lb off to get back to top end of target range.

    Today's EE plan:

    B - grapes after WI
    L - tuna mayo & cucumber sandwich
D - gammon steak, chips, baked beans, salad

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - not sure yet but there's half bottle of red sitting on the side!
