Just doing my usual "run in and report" :D - and this week it's 1.5 lbs off so I'm now 1 lb under target, and doing well for my plan to be right at the bottom for Christmas! Discussed with the consultant this week and she agrees that I should try if possible to be under my 3lb below weight (so I'm in the grace week) on the Thursday before Christmas so I can eat ALL THE CHEESE during Christmas week and still be hopefully within target range (last Christmas I gained 6.5 lbs over the week), and if not, it shouldn't be too hard to get back in within a couple of weeks.

I'm full of cold this week (which is heading towards my tonsils/chest) so it's lots of easy to swallow stuff like soup and stew.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

    Morning all
Wi with loss of .4lb, gob smacked really as felt like would be a gain as feeling bloated. Also ate more crisps (guilty pleasure) this week :o.
Been a difficult couple of days with 1-1, which brought on mini panics. Staff brilliant and allowed me to have a break to recover. Roll on end of term though :j.
Finally got my eye appointment (referred in August) could have had cancellation Monday but too short notice for me as it's a busy day and really needed as walking Y1 (60 kids) to church and back
So settled on 17th (bonus get afternoon off from 1-1 :D). I'm sure results will be nothing to worry about though.
Been so busy, must find time for MRI results too ( sure they'd contact me if important ;)).
Struggling to get going this morning, no energy! Poor dog has his legs crossed so better get him out now. Have a good weekend all and keep the faith :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Good afternoon all!

Booked in to see a dr next week as I'm constantly feeling tired. Can't pin point anything to explain why I'm always so fatigued so I'm going to let the dr give it a go!

    B - weetabix
L - sw tomato and basil soup
    D - spaghetti bolognese

Snacks - carrot and cucumber sticks, Apple, pineapple (gutted this isn't speed but I've never tried it before so I probably won't even like it).
Syns - curly wurly 6, couple of honeycomb match makers- think they're 1syn each.

Well, I have a sinus infection, chest infection and an ear infection. Explains why I feel so rubbish! On antibiotics I can't drink on for the next seven days so expecting a loss next week as most of my syns are saved for the weekend wine normally!

Sofa day today apart from walking Top Dog, necessary evil, bless him :(

B/D - Scrambled egg on toast (HEXB and 3 syns of cheese and a splash of HEXA milk, melon chunks and an apple.

T - Italian pork hotpot, mashed potatoes and vegetables. 7 syns in the hotpot overall so I'll allow 3.5 for myself.

    A Bournville highlights later (2)

Hoping to feel better soon :)

:T on your loss emmy. Being at the bottom end or below target range is perfect going into Christmas.

You seem to be doing well hovering around target too tie. Pleased your colleagues are keeping an eye you.:)

 Sorry to hear that topgirl and sorry to hear you're unwell too.:D

I hope your GP can sort you out too rj.

The food I'd ordered wasn't too bad last night. Smoked salmon starter and cod main and just the mayo and sauce to count. Cheeseboard was probably very synful though and far too many wine syns were consumed:o. I'm feeling it today but will probably recover by wine o'clock. I'm having as much water as possible in the meantime.

Plan today is to do some cooking while listening to football. I'm going to do a batch of braised red cabbage and try out the lentil and bacon soup.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: not hungry yet but probably an omelette with pickles
D: HM pork burger, fried onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (sugar snaps, asparagus, peas) and SW chips
Syns: squirt of syrup, squirt of HP sauce and weekend wine.

    Have a good day all.:)
  • Oh top girl what a time to be off the drink ....but as you say the sliver lining should be the weight loss next week.

RJ I know what you mean ...I'm blaming it on the weather and time of year.

Well I managed to put my toy back in the pram and came away with a 1/2lb loss - not brilliant but it does mean I've reached the 1.5 stone mark. Would really love to lose a lb before I go away but am going out tonight and really badly timed next Friday. ....I'm debating as to whether I should have a strategic weigh in on Friday rather than Saturday - though having said that its my last weigh in before Christmas ...oh decisions decisions lol

Thankfully, I had no social plans this week and Top Bloke is off back up to Scotland to see his family before Christmas so lots of cosy nights in with custody of the remote and Yorkshire Tea should see me right.

That really made me laugh Maman :D

Last night's lamb karahi was amazing. Very spicy. As promised, the recipe:

    500g lean lamb chunks
    1 large onion, finely chopped
3 large tomatoes (I used beef), 2 diced, 1 cut into thin rounds
5 tbsp. fat free greek yogurt
    1 tbsp. finely chopped ginger
    6 crushed garlic cloves
3 large green chillies, 2 chopped, 1 sliced lengthways
    1 tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    1/2 tsp crushed red chillies
    1/4 tsp black pepper powder
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp dried methi
    low cal spray
    5 tbsp. fresh coriander
    1 tsp curry powder

Clean the lamb and put in a saucepan with the onion, salt and chilli powder and half a cup of water (I just covered the lamb and onion). Cook on a low heat for 40 minutes.

Spray a wok/frying pan and add cumin seeds, crushed chilli, black pepper powder, turmeric, curry powder, ginger and garlic, with a little water and fry for 1 minute. Add lamb and cook for five minutes.

Add yoghurt, 1 tbsp. at a time, stirring continuously. After blended, add diced tomatoes and 2 chopped green chillies. Mix well on heat for five minutes.

Add methi, sliced tomato and sliced chilli, another cup of water and the fresh coriander. Cook on low heat until water reduced and sauce thickened.

Served with rice, chips and a peroni. Delicious.
