:T Delighted for you Shala . The 777 challenge seems to be working for you. I expect it's because you're focusing on Speed :D and if you aim for just 7 syns then any slips won't be serious as you've got loads of leeway

Hope you enjoyed your wee lunch beanie . Does that mean wee syns? ;)

I've got 2 off plan dinners coming up next but plan on being 100% SW friendly for breakfasts and lunches.

    Stay warm tonight all.:)
  • Am I the only one who doesn't really like mug shots? I've tried the peri peri noodles and tomato & herb pasta. Peri peri was vile. Tomato was nothing special!! Xx
  • Just popping in to get my hit of friendly SW banter :)

It's been a b*gger of a week so far - the car and washing machine died on the same day! DH has managed to fix the washing machine and the car is off to the garage today - fingers crossed it won't be too expensive to fix as money is tight in the run-up to Christmas  Really need to get to Aldini today to do a big shop so hoping we get it back before closing time.

Congrats on the weightloss Shala and your good news re your blood test.

Hang in there Lantanna, I am also taking the scenic route at the moment but this is real life, we can't always blast straight down to target. That said, I do want to do better next week!

Thanks for the kind words and motivation, Lois, Shala, Beanie and Maman
We could all write books on it cudnt we.

Legs had a rest last night and seems to be much better so will get back to the gym tonight.

Went to the butcher last night and he told me I looked exhausted:rotfl: That's what a couple of days of audits does to you.

Was nice to get a night in the house last night and got cooking.
Made a chicken and broccoli pasta bake so have that with me for lunch and have some chicken marinating in the fridge to cook tonight.

Really need to sort out my water intake as getting bad on the fizzy again. Water just seems too cold right now so must start working through my stash of green teas again. Remember my challenge to get them all drank before the xmas break lol - may get on it again.

Hopefully it will warm up for you Denise.
I'm hoping Lanzarote will be a bit warm at xmas but it seems a lot colder all over this year so not getting my hopes up - still just be nice to have a change of scenery etc. :D

I don't mind some of them - I rarely eat them and then go through a phase of eating them. They are handy to grab to take to work if I'm unprepared etc. The Peri Peri ones are really awful!

The ones I eat are the sweet and sour noodles - which I read somewhere the other day have a terrible amount of sugar in them, the roast chicken and any of the cheese ones. There is a tomato one that I do like but not sure what one it was.

I find I need to heat my mug up to get them to cook properly before adding the boiling water and let them sit for ages. They'd nearly be better done like a pot noodle with a lid on to retain the heat as they cool down quickly while you are waiting.

There ok - not really healthy I guess but handy for a free or low syn grab and go type of think every once in a while.

Good morning, it's quite dull today, not like yesterday that was bright and sunny,in fact the warmest day for ages the sky in the evening had a lovely red glow. Not as good as the Summer skies but it looked nice. I'ts still warmish much better than the cold frosty days we have had but, it will change back again I'm sure

Maman my lentil and bacon soup

    1 0nion
    2 leeks
    2 carrots
Few garden peas same with corn i.e. Handful
I don't measure the lentils but I put in about 1/4 of a bag
2 slices of back bacon or 1 pkt from Asda lean bacon lardons
    2 vegetable stock cubes
    Cayenne pepper

Fry the onion in a little olive oil or fry light along with half of the bacon 5 mins don't brown the onion.
Add leeks, carrots, lightly cook for another few mins. Add seasoning and mix up 2 vegetable stock cubes add to pan. Along with peas corn and lentils
    Add more water if needed.
While it cooks, until carrots are soft. Fry the rest of the bacon bits until crispy.
Blitz, and add then add the rest of bacon. If too thick add a little more water. It's really lovely with bacon if you want a change from Ham.
If you don't want peas and corn leave out it's just as nice.

:o well I guess I have to start again because I'm back to my starting weight of 17st 8. I'm totally gutted. :(

I really wanted to lose 14 lbs by Xmas. I'll keep trying I suppose. Feeling totally deflated.
I'm a new mam juggling baby, bills and everything else - phew!
  • Don't be too down Romylou, you have shown you can do it - remember that 5lb weightloss? Just get straight back on it from now and go hard until Christmas - I'm betting you could lose that 14lb no problem!

I have had two weeks of gains so I know how you feel but that's gone now and all we can do is look forward and try harder.
