+3LBS I was glad of the cold weather today as I wore jeans, big thick jumper and Ugg boots to class and weighed in wearing it all. I'm off up to Scotland this weekend so decided I'd take the hit this week and then I can wear a light blouse and take my boots off next week.:D
Eating up today and tomorrow but got a curry from the freezer for one night and a hearty veg and lentil casserole so I'll see what the gang fancy when they get in. Lunches will be eggs to eat them up. We have no brown bread left and I'm not buying more until we get home on Tuesday so sliced white it will be.0 -
Morning, urgh its going to be a long hard road back to target.
I long to say I'm 11 stone something again. Lets hope in 2017 I can.
You can and you will lantanna.I remember that lovely red lace dress you bought.
It is hard but it's so worth it when you reach the end of that road (sadly lots of potholes on the way though;)).
One of the (many) things I like about this thread is that we've taken on board that SW has to fit around your life not the other way round. What matters is that however many detours we take we get back to eating healthily. Like topgirl says, off plan is going to happen over the next few weeks but that doesn't mean we can't eat SW before and, most importantly, after.:)I'm not doing too bad with the 7-7-7 challenge, my only Syns today have been for a bit of spread on some toast and cornflour in savoury mince. I've had a mandarin, strawberries, mushrooms, tomatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots and green beans for speed and I've been drinking roibos and mint tea.

You're doing really well. I admire anyone who can manage 777 for a whole week. I read somewhere about a woman who'd kept a sort of balance sheet so she spread it across the week, a bit like a syn bank but trying for 49 syns max.

Incidentally I know the cornflour isn't many syns but I don't use any in my savoury mince and it's fine. Someone gave me the recipe on here.rjhammond91 wrote: »Maintained this week. Sw lady has let me lower my target now to 11 stone 7 as even with all my naughty eating this week I still wasn't able to gain! So 2lbs to go until my new target! Xx
Not sure how tall you are or dress sizeyou'd like to be rj but how does your new target fit on height/weight charts. I find that the best guide. Personally I'd keep losing until you feel scrawny or it's becoming hard to maintain but that's a personal choice.
How do you make your lentil and bacon soup wiz? I really love it but I only make it when I'm boiling a piece of gammon and then I use the stock and scraps of meat. I'd like to make it more often but there's only so much gammon we can eat.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: veggie omelette (mushroom, spring onion, tomato) with cornichons and pickled cabbagechicken thighs, mash, roasted veg (tomatoes, mushrooms, red onions, peppers) with broccoli and peas
Syns: none planned
DH and I are going to the cinema tomorrow so we'll probably go to Wetherspoons after. Thursday night is curry night.........:eek:0 -
Maman, I'm 5'7. I'm not overly bothered about height/weight charts etc. The exact wording from her was 'well you are still technically overweight according to your bmi so did you want to lower your target?', I'm sure my face was a right picture. I'm now able to wear size 12 jeans and I'm in size 10/12 tops so I'm pretty happy with losing the last 2lbs. I think to expect to lose anymore I'll just be setting myself up for failure. I'm a very curvy shape (smaller waist, huge hips) so have a lot of weight on my legs but even when I was a size 8 (oh back in the day), that was still the case.
I'm all about the body magic at the moment! Xxx0 -
Hiya - I can't believe how cold it is in the uk, I hope everyone's managing to stay warm and safe.
Just had some lovely cauliflower and blue cheese soup for lunch. I know blue cheese isn't officially a healthy extra, but I'm counting it as one! I didn't have anything with it, it was so filling I didn't need to. It gave me an idea to use it as cheese sauce to make cauliflower cheese, it would require 2 cauliflowers but here in Spain you can buy huge ones very cheaply so I could do it half and half. I wouldn't normally bother with cauliflower cheese but sometimes we have friends round for a roast dinner and she is vegetarian so I usually do it for her - it's very popular with everyone else too but proper cheese sauce is high in Syns so I usually leave a bit of cauliflower without sauce and have that myself.
My 7 speed foods for today will be mandarin, pear, onion, cauliflower, green beans, mushrooms and an orange. Nothing planned synswise yet, but I could count Syns for the blue cheese and have ryvita with laughing cow light for supper if I want some. I'm taking antibiotics for a water infection so I'm not drinking for a few days.
DH and I are out for an Indian meal on Friday so I'm definitely not going to maintain 777 for a whole week. Like you say Maman, incorporating SW into real life means sometimes going off plan, but as long as we stick to it at other times it will work.
Lantanna - keep going, you know you can do it. It's hard when you're trying to get back to where you've been previously, and I think sometimes we need to put ourselves back into the headspace we were in when we first started SW, really thinking about what we're eating, planning, weighing HEs, and being brutally honest about Syns.
Topgirl - maybe you should see your doctor about the cough - they might suggest an inhaler until it clears, which would help you sleep.
Off out for a walk soon, ending with a coffee but no brandy.
Have a good day.

Too right. It comes off in the end, via the scenic route.
That might have been me with the mince Maman, mine is mince, onion and garlic, then new potatoes, carrots, 5 stock cubes, 900ml water, a few good squirts of tomato puree and finally frozen peas and mushrooms later.
Big winter favourite in our house0 -
