Thanks so much for the soup recipe wiz. I'll need to buy in some bacon then I'll give it a try. I like the idea of crisping up the bacon to go in it. I'll let you know how I get on.:) It's beautiful weather here too although very cold.rjhammond91 wrote: »Am I the only one who doesn't really like mug shots? I've tried the peri peri noodles and tomato & herb pasta. Peri peri was vile. Tomato was nothing special!! Xx
I've never been inclined to try them as I'm fortunate enough to have the time to cook from scratch most days. I can see why they're popular though as many people need something quick and easy.well I guess I have to start again because I'm back to my starting weight of 17st 8. I'm totally gutted.
I really wanted to lose 14 lbs by Xmas. I'll keep trying I suppose. Feeling totally deflated.
Do you know what, you could still lose a stone by Christmas if you really went for it! When you're starting out you can get big losses. You need a plan and a shopping list to go with it. Try and plan in some easy meals (like mugshots;)) so that if you do get sidetracked (like your baby being unwell) then you have SW friendly food to fall back on rather than grabbing junk or getting in take aways . I'd suggest HM ready meals if you have time but otherwise try and keep some SW Iceland stuff in the freezer. Satsumas and bananas are good for keeping in your handbag in case you're caught out. I know bananas aren't Speed but they're better than crisps, chocolate or sandwiches! If you need any help all you need to do is ask.:)
I'm trying to stick with the water too lantanna. Good luck with reducing the Green Tea Mountain!:D
Not properly on plan today as we're out tonight probably for a curry. I've had a SW breakfast (ham, fried eggs and HEB toast) and I've got plenty of LO veg to fry up for lunch with some cold chicken and pickles. Back on it tomorrow.0 -
How do you make your lentil and bacon soup wiz? I really love it but I only make it when I'm boiling a piece of gammon and then I use the stock and scraps of meat. I'd like to make it more often but there's only so much gammon we can eat.:)
:
This is a favourite of mine too but like you say you can only eat so much gammon. so I sometimes use a ham stock cube and some chopped up cooking bacon, Asda 500g 50p. I sort through the packs to find the leanest and then prep the whole pack, removing all fat, chop it up and divide into plastic bags then freeze, I usually get five bags from this. I find them handy to throw in a quiche, top a baked pot, use in an omelette etc.Slimming World at target0 -
I generally now cook from scratch but just grabbed them as an extra if I got really hungry whilst on nights. I don't think I'll bother trying any of the others tbh! Xx0

That's a great tip, thanks!0 -

Had a day in France and really enjoyed it. There was a beautiful sunrise as we were crossing the Channel and a lovely sunset on the way home.
Definitely an off plan day today apart from dinner when we got home! How many syns are crumpets as that was all I had time for this morning at 5 o'clock!
Had a lovely steak lunch but it came with chips and I ate them - they were gorgeous!
Suffice to say many syns were consumed today.
We're away for the weekend and will stick to plan as much as possible but eating out so no idea what that will be! Also wine syns.
Back on plan properly from Sunday.

RJ I only like the roast chicken one - which I think is 1 syn - and I tend to have one if I'm starving .....I take the attitude better one if those than several rounds of bread which I would have eaten pre SW.
My 777 challenge isn't going very well....least said soonest mended I think.
Having said that I went swimming this morning (even though it was very very cold!!!) walked the dog for about 1 1/4hrs lunch time & thesis evening so hopefully this will be reflected on the scales saturday0 -

How's things green tiger?
Hopefully you'll be able to join us on the next challenge.
Having a bit of a hissy fit at the moment....had a sneaky weigh before I walked the dog and it looks like I've put on a lb.
Wouldn't mind put it was our choir's Christmas concert yesterday and a load of Christmas goodies were on offer afterwards - steeled myself against them as I will the usual bacon roll this morning.0
