Glad that your mum is home tweets.
    Hope things settle down soon.

Got two of the new small size water bottles that encourage you to drink. Expensive though and the postage was £5.50. Will buy no more as think that was way over the top.
Was it you Tweets that got yours the same time as me?

Yes I have one a purple one only use it at home lol

Excuse me if I'm being dense but why would you want 2 dresses that are too big? Why not order the next size down if you like them? :)

Both at is a good question but there is a logic reason....I think!

I've never ordered from this website before so was relying on their size guide - the one is a long sleeved dress with no waist as such but I wondered if it was too big on top ( but no way could it be taken in) ; the other one is too big on top but could be taken in but I need the size for the waist.

Whilst swimming I did ponder the situation and I'm more inclined to send them back - I would keep the first one as its a lovely dress but then if my intention is to lose weight it seems such a waste...the second I'm less inclined to keep it anyway.

It is your intention to lose weight, no if about it!:D
It doesn't sound like either dress is ideal. I'd send them back. I'd buy a minimum until you get to target. If you must have something for Christmas then I'd go somewhere like Matalan and get something cheap and cheerful.
  • Early morning greetings to you all :j

    3.5 off for me :T

I have been encouraged to set a target of 10 stone which is rather scary - 20 lbs to go.

However if you would have told me in August that I would lose 3 stone before December I would have said that was impossible! :p

    Hugs to everyone

you are right - the woman I walk the dog with said the same ....I really did like the first dress.

oh well I suppose this dilemma is a downside to losing weight lol!

btw when SW talk about a portion of speed what size is that portion?

I thinking of doing what Shala is doing with her 777 'challenge' and was just wondering re speed as I know this is one thing I really don't do and want to I improve upon

That's amazing chocomonsta. Not just today's loss which is great but the amount you've lost in such a short time. Fantastic!:T

It's a good dilemma to have. 5 years+ on I still love it that I can go into any shop and I don't have to search for things down the back of the rails and choose what fits rather than what I like.:D

I've been trying on possible party clothes for Friday. My lace dress fits fine but I do look more 'slinky for Santa' in my black jumpsuit. Dilemma!:rotfl:

NHS guidelines for 5 a day suggest about 80g as a portion size. SW doesn't really work in portions but rather in fractions/percentages of your meal (or I do it across a day so that it includes snacks and allows for not having Speed at breakfast). So to have 7 Speed it would mean having a variety of Speed fruit and veg that came up to at least a third of your food. I think one of the purposes of the challenge is to help focus on Speed and encourage variety.

It's beautifully bright and sunny here although very cold BUT I am doing my best with drinking water.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: ham, LO veg (swede mash, cabbage and peas) and pickled cabbage
D: YS Asda salmon, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, peas
Syns: 2? in the salmon as it has a dressing and 2? for a squirt of syrup
  • I got 1lb off last Thursday (no idea if I already checked in with that!)

I can't even remember the weekend if I'm honest but there was homemade lasagne on Saturday and Monday which was well within syns. there was a chocolate bar yesterday but other than that all on plan.

really need to get in the grove of writing things down again atm my journal was a waste of money!

    today:
before work: cup of tea (milk from hea) half a mullerlight (all will be explained...)
breakfast: baked oats - 1.5syns for 100g cooked apple, 2 syns (allowing more than it will be) for hot chocolate used in them and other half of muller light in the oats :) also added 2 medium grated carrots for speed. oats were heb
at work: warm Ribena winter spice
    now: 1syn roast chicken mugshot
lunch: not sure but I need something proper I'm starving!
tea: baked fish (cod or haddock from the freezer) with beans, spinach, baby plum tomatoes, snack peppers, mushrooms and onion (baked with the fish).

need to drink a lot more; will pick up some cheap squash on my lunch I think. not sure what I'll get to eat maybe a jacket potato if I go out sooner rather than later/the shop has any left!

Today's very bright and cold but it's actually quite nice in the sun. Have taken a load of stuff to the charity shop this morning on the way to get a few bits from Iceland and Tesco.

    Today's plan is EE:

B - plain omelette - was a bit late up so wanted something hot and quick which didn't involve a HEB!
L - HM mixed veg soup; 2 slices of bread (HEB) no spread
    D - HM sweet & sour pork/rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - not sure but maybe some chocolate of some sort

Not much Speed today apart from the soup but will probably have some melon at some stage today to up it a bit.
