Today hasn't worked out as I thought at all although to SW advantage.

Foolishly (in hindsight) I'd left DH to make arrangements with DD2. They'd obviously agreed she'd come this morning and then he had it in his head that we'd go for lunch. Instead DD stopped off for a big breakfast on the way so wasn't hungry.

So, we had coffee and they stayed until about 3. Then I had my LO beef stew and tonight we're having HM pork burger with patatas bravas, mushrooms and greens.

So all's well that ends well.:D

Evening  hope everyone's ok xx

Gettingthere - don't be too disappointed, 1-2lbs loss a week is healthy and you're averaging 2lb a week at the moment so that's brilliant :T

Back on plan today after my sulking. Bought a pressure cooker in the Amaz0n black Friday sales (the buy button clicked itself ) so tried out some jacket potatoes - they were rubbish but I still ate one! Tomorrow will be pulled pork.. should only take 45 minutes instead of hours in the slow cooker :T fingers crossed it'll be nice!

    Menu for today
Brunch - scrambled egg, toast (heb) flora (2)
Tea - jacket potato, cheese (hea) chicken tikka, mini tortilla boat (4) salad, pickles, spicy slaw
Snacsk - crisps (3.5), freezer yogurt bark (2) satsumas

Ohh maman, Tesc0 sent me the spicy slaw version of the baxters deli toppers as a sub in my shopping _pale_ it's nasty. So disappointing, I don't recommend that one at all, will be sticking to the red slaw version only!

    xx

Shala - contact Tesco Customer Services and complain about the substitute if it's not nice! They might even send you a voucher to compensate you and give you the item free. Certainly worth a try.

Hi all! Congratulations Ruby on SOTW.

Just nipping in to say I lost 2lbs this week so am back to just 1/2 lb over target, with the aim of being at the bottom by Christmas.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Off to bed soon, but just a quick post to say the pork ragu was very nice, I'll definitely cook it again, but add (even) less water next time. The recipe said 150ml of stock, I used half that, plus 1tbsp cornflour mixed with water, but it was still too wet so I also used some gravy granules and counted a few extra Syns to allow for it. Next time I'll put the stock cube in without dissolving it first.

    Here's a link to the recipe: https://mobile.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/view-recipe/rich-pork-and-vegetable-ragu?loggedin=true&loggedin=true

    Night all,

  • Didn't manage to get to class to WI last week - finished work late and then traffic was mental and took me an hour to get home. So I don't know if I gained last week or not. Then this week my friend at work gave me 3 boxes of maltesers because I saved her nearly £2000 with her electricity supplier and I ate 80% of them. Then last night went out for a group meal for curry and ate a lot.
So I think I'm going to have a hefty gain on Monday. I've got another meal out on Tuesday, then another on the 10th and 12th of December! So I think I might revert back to salad for lunch from now on

Been a busy morning so far - only just sat down to get on here.

Thanks LL for the link to the pork ragu recipe. Looks as though you probably don't need much water for the stock just the stock pot/cube and perhaps 50ml of water. When will SW work out the right amount of water/ stock for their recipes - still at least we all know we need to cut back on the amount to add!

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
L - HM mixed veg soup; slice bread
D - roast pork, roasted onion, pepper & onions, green beans, peas; splash of gravy
S - slice toast; laughing cow light

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - laughing cow light; gravy; not sure if I'll have anything else.
May have some mixed nuts again as I really enjoyed them yesterday as HEB. Ended up not having the rice pudding after all so didn't have 2nd HEA.

Well done wiz and you too emmy.

I'm sure it's helped since you read up on all the Speed fruits you like wiz. Why not really force yourself and have 3 sprigs of cauliflower?;)

Thanks for the pork ragu recipe lois. I've got some pork cubes in the freezer so I'll give it a try. Did you have rice or a JP with it?

I think many of us are going to be juggling SW with meals out over the next few weeks. My first Christmas meal is next Friday. I think you're wise to have salads in between.

I've got HB steaks in the oven and all veg prepped for later. I'll thicken the gravy when we get back from football. Today, instead of 'welcoming' our star players back as we did with Liverpool last weeks it's our old manager. So the Return of Ronald. Just hope we put up a good show.

    Afternoon all

Just back from having a Sunday roast which was very enjoyable - I had one roastie and gave the others and the Yorkshire pud to DH, so Syns for 1 potato and gravy. I'm having a weekend off alcohol after having overdone it a couple of nights this week, so no wine Syns to account for today.

I did saut! potatoes in the actifry last night with the pork, I didn't fancy rice with it but think it would actually have been fine. We also had green beans, so there was plenty of speed. Today's dinner had carrots and cabbage with it, so I need more speed later - will probably have salad of some kind.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
