Finally fit into my size 12 jeans! They're a bit tight but i think with a bit more toning they'll fit lovely. Yayyyy! I've not been able to wear these jeans for 5 years! Xx

    Morning all, happy weekend!

I missed posting yesterday, we had an early start in the morning with a visit to a local museum that only opens occasionally, then the day just seemed to go by in the wink of an eye ending with a dinner and dance, so I never had chance to get online. Today isn't going to be quite so full on thankfully.

I've prepared a pork ragu in the slow cooker for dinner, it's a recipe from the SW website that I've never tried before so hopefully it will be tasty (and not too wet!). Not sure what to have with it yet but I've got cauliflower, carrots, broccoli and cabbage so there's plent of speed food to choose from. There's also peppers, onions and tomatoes in it.

Great NSV rjh :T, those jeans will be loose on you in no time.

Well done hunny, great loss! :j

Welcome to the thread introuble, a Caribbean wedding sounds lovely, it will be great motivation to achieve your goal.

That must have been annoying for you and your OH Denise, hope the appointment is rescheduled asap.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

That's a great feeling rj isn't it when you can finally get back into your favourite jeans. As you probably know Maman often uses her jeans to see whether she's put on weight or not - if they're a bit tight on new jeans day then need to rein back at bit. I think it's a great indicator.

I'm having a Green day today - it wasn't planned as such but when I looked at what we were having today I realised if I had just a mushroom omlette instead of a bacon & mushroom one then it would be a green day - so extra HEA & HEB! which to me means rice pudding:j.

    B - mushroom omlette
    L - egg, chips, beans (DH's request)
D - aubergine & chickpea curry with loads of Speed food in - garlic, onions, tomato puree, tin tomatoes, carrots, spinach as well as the aubergines. This is from a batch I made a couple of weeks ago. Will serve with plain rice.

    HEA1 - milk in teas
HEA2 - milk in rice pudding
HEB1 - bread with lunch to dip in the egg & beans!
HEB2 - not sure but either crackers or toast this evening; either way it'll be spread with laughing cow light

Syns - 2 laughing cow light - 2 syns; 2 small glasses of wine (all that's left in the bottle, LOL as DH had some last night which he hasn't been recently) don't really want to open a box just for one day (tomorrow's alcohol syns, LOL) 10 syns

Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

I certainly do denise! Today I've got a brand new pair on so probably even worse than clean jeans day.. The waist is fine, I've put on a belt so I don't spend all day pulling them up. Unfortunately the thighs feel a bit snug because that's where any XS pounds always end up.:( I find if I'm not going out and just slop around the house in leggings I'm not so focused and bad habits can creep in.
Well done on your NSV rj.:T

That would be pushing it even for me!
Actually I just checked and a 3 litre box of red would be 108 syns so it wouldn't be too far off syns for the week.:rotfl:

Hope the ragu works well lois, let us know. DH particularly enjoyed the beef and bean stew we had yesterday. I used a pack (YS in Asda) of mixed beans and veg so there was a variety of Borlotti Beans, Chickpeas , Butter Beans and Cannellini Beans in there. The pack had a bit of oil in it too but probably no more than 2 syns worth shared and I've got a portion left for a lunch for me.

Not sure what's happening today as we're out for lunch with DD2 as it's her birthday tomorrow. Depending on what she chooses then we may or may not be hungry enough for dinner later.

I've had my SW breakfast (HEB toast, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, ham) and if we do want dinner tonight it'll be something like burgers or Bolognese from the freezer. Lunchtime will be synful I guess.:o

Problem is Maman my boxes come from France and they're all 5 litres not like the 3 litre ones that you get here (in fact a lot of the boxes are now only 2.5 litre - what a swizz 'cos they're still the same price!)

I know I've said 2 small glasses of wine but I may actually have a G&T before dinner as well depending on how I feel;).

Enjoy your lunch out with your DD2.

LL - I've not seen the ragu recipe you're doing but as Maman says hope it's not too wet! Assume it has both tomatoes and/or passata plus stock, if it has just don't add too much stock, if any. I think this is particularly true when using a SC.

Alternatively, you could do the same as with the HB steak and thicken it with a teaspoon each of mustard & cornflour, it really works.

Let us know whether it's one that's worth doing.

WI day and I've lost a 1lb - a little disappointed but when you have chips what can you expect lol!

Haven't got anything planned for today apart from walking the dog so may book a gym induction which if I want to use the gym at the leisure centre I have to have first.

    Hello all :A
WI with STS which I'm happy with as not been the best of weeks as had bread products (gf carp) due to needing quick lunches to eat with the kids before trips out.
Good news as no unit trip this week and only 1 the week after then that's it, back to normal with us . I'm feeling a bit guilty about my job as 1-1 has been lovely but very clingy. I'm hoping job sharing won't undo all the good work and send him into emotional meltdown!
Oh well, trying not to think about it yet.

Off out later with my nephew to watch his children in a dance show, looking forward to that :j

Have a good weekend all and keep the faith :A:A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
