Hope you enjoyed every single syn wiz.
I know lots of us on here take the scenic route around Slimming World. I know it's not the quickest way but it is sustainable as a lifestyle choice.
I'm pleased with tonight. Pleasingly the pub did serve plain new potatoes so I had them with steak and salad and for once they didn't bring onion rings by mistake. I had a small glass of wine and although tempting to carry on when I got home I resisted.

    Totally me

The frustrating thing is I know I can regularly shift 1-2lb a week minimum if I rigidly stick to plan and this knowledge makes me lazy, if that makes sense, as there's never an immediate need to lose? Hopefully I can have a good run at it before Christmas (having 21st to 26th totally off plan as various parties and our one year anniversary <3 fall then) and then back on it hardcore in January.

    Yesterday was a decent day

    B) Mushroom omelette and beans

    D) Chicken noodle soup

    T) Spaghetti Bolognese

Only syns were a Bournville Highlights hot chocolate for 2 - tastes like a proper coffee shop one though, it's lovely. However, I had 7.5 on Monday so I'll take that.

    Today

B - Chicken noodle soup as I had a sore throat

    D - Spaghetti Bolognese

    T - Cottage pie

HEXA - Cheese on cottage pie
    HEXB - Alpen lights

Syns - Bournville highlights with milk for 4. Top Bloke puts a teaspoon each of mustard and gravy granules in the cottage pie mix so I'll call my share (1/3) 1 syn.

    Morning all

Well it's been raining heavily all night here so I've hardly had any sleep. It's just stopped a few minutes ago but I don't think I'll be venturing far today as there are bound to be huge puddles everywhere - the Spanish don't have storm drains!

Lush - you've got busy times ahead but you sound like you're organised and ready to deal with anything. Hope it goes well.

Wiz - your dinner sounds lovely, and not as naughty as all that, give yourself a pat on the back for resisting a pud.

Has anyone else read the latest post on the old thread? It's quite long and basically a lecture about sugar and the futility of following slimming plans that encourage eating it, but it makes interesting reading, some of which I agree with. It made me think of our friend Frogga as she has successfully given up sugar.

    Have a good day everyone.

I'm afraid that extra HEXs are the standard SW advice for staying at target rj. Although I love cheese I find the idea very boring so instead I prefer to have extra syns (you all know which ones;)) to help me maintain.

Out of interest, how many extra syns do you allow yourself maman?

Had a few more syns than planned yesterday - fancied chocolate in the evening so had a curley wurley - 6 syns, so still well under syns for the day.

    Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water; mullerlight. no fruit as forgot to get the frozen fruit out!
L - jacket potato; baked beans; pickles
D - aubergine bowl - from November magazine

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge

  • -1 1/2 this week. I can't believe it!!!?
It's unbelievable considering I'm trying to maintain and when I was trying to lose, I maintained. The only thing I can think of is that I'm doing No-vember and am off the booze. So I'm right at the bottom of range 1/2lb to play with so next week I'm going in jeans, heavy jumper etc.
    Plan today is:-
    Hea milk
    Heb oats
    B overnight oats
    L ommlette and salad
    D chicken stirfry and rice
    Snacks satsumas, 85% choc, crisps??
  • Hi all - still plodding on here - didn't go to weigh in Saturday - I'm only going to go once a fortnight between now and the new year...my group is in the centre of town (actually in the town hall) and down the town is bonkers right now so I'll not go every week and take the financial hit.

A lovely client (a farmer) brought in a massive big bag of lovely carrots yesterday so I made carrot and coriander soup which will do our lunches for a few days with a HEA and B ham and cheese sarnie to go with. We're going to have pork chops and green things and baby boils tonight - so hungry!!

Family situation has settled down slightly (no issue with my immediate family - we're all cool and have always been - it's my sister in law who is bat !!!! crazy!!)

But come january I'm going for SW all guns blazing - I am quite lax with my syns (wine syns most nights) so I'm going to do it by the letter of the law. Going over my record I can see that I lost momentum after I broke my elbow - with one or two losses (couple of gains) but mostly STSs - so now I'm healed (mostly - still a bit sore at times) I can get back into the swing of things again.
