  • Afternoon all,

So another scrappy weekend - I ended up going to rugby with OH Saturday after not much breakfast and no lunch so ended up with a packet of crisps and some malteasers. then some pepsi max and another chocolate bar. later a trip to ike followed by our usual Saturday take away (chicken fried rice and boiled noodles plus 1 chicken ball for me!
Sunday we went crackers sorting the upstairs rooms (moving littlie in to the bigger room and making hers a craft studio for us so I had a bagel thin 6.5 syn then a few malteasers (estimating 5 syn and it wasn't many - didn't even finish the bag!) then nothing until a take away that evening as by the time I was done I was shattered and running on empty.

yesterday I had a crumpet, some syn free homemade soup and a syn free tea

    today:

breakfast: toast (heb) with 2 cheese light triangles (part hea). tea (milk from remaining hea)
lunch: mugshot (free), aldi yogurt (free), coke zero and I'm going to get a salad tub whilst out
tea; chicken with sweet potato, spinach, pepper, carrot, beetroot and pickled onions :)
going for a walk at lunch if only to clear my head. Love my job bit don't necessarily love what its become. I'm having to do far more of the finance side than I have time for (and which isn't in my remit really)

Not looking forward to weigh in Thursday unless a miracle happens as it looks like I've gained last weeks gain...or l=feels that way rather

    :T to rj and chocomonsta.

I'm afraid that extra HEXs are the standard SW advice for staying at target rj. Although I love cheese I find the idea very boring so instead I prefer to have extra syns (you all know which ones;)) to help me maintain. It's a balancing act but worth it IMO. I went below many times when I first got to target. I think you just need to make a few tweaks to your menu. Unless, of course, you really would like to reset your target.

Sounds like you had to sacrifice the plan for the family at the weekend lush although back on it now. How is littlie settling in her new room?:)

I'm out for a pub meal later. My plan is to have a single glass of wine with steak, salad and new potatoes. Hoping they can do the potatoes without butter although I suspect they may be already in the butter ready to be microwaved! I should be within syns as I saved plenty last Friday.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO beef with fried veg and pickles
    D: as above
    Syns: salad dressing, wine, butter?
  • I'm still technically overweight (just by a few lbs according to bmi - not that I listen to that though).. I just think if I can lose 3lbs when at target and I've not even tried that hard this week then I don't know what more I can do. I'll follow her advice this week and see how I get on.

I have a Chinese planned Friday, a cider alongside some choc Syns on Thursday (following an interview at work) and whatever else pops up in between.. I'm sure I'll end up gaining but more from eating naughty food than eating an extra hifi a day! Xx

Lantanna - that gain must have been a huge shock. I think there must be a medical reason for it like water retention or something wrong with the scales. Did you weigh at class or at home?

Lush - you could turn it around by Thursday if you stick religiously to plan and keep the Syns to a minimum. The weekend will be worth it once you have your craft room set up.

Well done rjh, that's a good problem to have, and I love your suggestion re shoes Beanie!

    Have a good day everyone.

What you could do rj is try to maintain until after Christmas and then think about dropping your target by 7lbs. I don't do BMI either but I do look at the height
/weight charts and I'm bang in the middle of the healthy range on there. If I'm honest, what motivates me most is staying a small size 12. It was the thought of being a size 18 that sent me to SW originally.

I'm hoping so - I'm keeping around 8-10 for the foreseeable. we have a rugby weekend coming up so I want to be a decent position before that

luckily she is loving it! last night she had the best nights sleep she's had in ages :)

I've picked up a fruit salad at lunch but I am starving again so also picked up a boots shapers salmon and prawn sushi rice salad for 1.5 syn instead of chocolate and it is delicious :)

car definitely going in for repair tonight so that's good.

    plan for tomorrow:
shake for breakfast as no time for much else with no car and needing to get to work! lunch will be something decent and filling as I'm officiating at a rugby game tomorrow night. I'm thinking something like syn free chile and a jacket potato or cottage pie from the freezer. tea will either be a mugshot or a shake. not ideal (or strictly sw) but I can't officiate on anything more! and by the time we finish at 9pm and I've packed up and driven home I won't bothered for anything other than a shower!

Thursday is another similarly busy day but with a proper evening meal :)

not sure what I'll do for the upcoming rugby weekend - it's 3rd/4th December in Leicester at the new arena but no idea what there is round there. ands its a beefeater at our hotel. will have to think that one through

  • Thanks for all your suggestions!

I've got a busy Christmas period planned as I'm not working this year for Christmas so will be visiting family in Wales and I don't think any of them understand the concept of eating sw friendly food! Although I'd already planned to eat whatever I want for Christmas.

Aswell as a Christmas party in the next couple of weeks! I'll see how I get on over the next couple of weeks. If I keep losing I think I'll jack in sw and start doing it from home! I've got my head around the concept and have changed my diet completely so I think I could stick to it!

I'm a size 12 in tops and 14 in jeans. I'm thinking (well hoping) that with a few lbs off and a bit of toning up that I'll be back in size 12 jeans (which hasn't been the case for about 4 years!).

Lois it was at class:o I know that's why I'm not as bothered about it as you would think I would be because it is just most odd. I could have had a all inclusive week away with alcohol for a 9 lbs gain!
