Well done Matron Midge - I read that as eleven and a half at first and was about to demand to know your secret! You don't seem to have planned any HEXs tete? You'll maybe get away with yesterday if you didn't eat much overall but (and I know I always say this) Speed is very important.
Sorry for being vague MamanHEXA is the usual milk in my coffees - all used up already - and HEXB is almonds. I've stopped getting bread in for now as it was always too easy to just make toast for a snack and I was eating too much of it.
Altered my omelettey thing for lunch - ended up with bacon, onion, mushroom, grated carrot and courgette, two eggs and no potatoes tho I did have some pasta shapes on the side.
Going to do a big batch of quorn chilli this aft for use with jacket potatoes. Going into is is: onion, grated carrot and courgette, two peppers, passata, cherry tomatoes, kidney beans, and quorn. Hopefully it'll make a great big batch for the freezer and do me for lots of in-a-hurry/can't-be-bothered type meals.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
:T well done midge. That's a good loss, no wonder you're pleased.
That's not a bad gain considering FE. It really is worth being firm with yourself and then you can relax a bit when you get to target. I try my best to keep wine syns for weekends and you have to prioritise your treats. Personally I wouldn't want cookies but I know it's either wine syns or crisps or cheese. Wine always wins.;)
Flutterby, that was an appalling thing for your consultant to say. It's none of her business if you choose to take your DS to swimming lessons and I agree so called Image Therapy can be incredibly boring and monotonous. I'd favour sharing tips and trying to problem solve (like we do on here) in that session but IMO few consultants either have the skills or the freedom to stray from the SW blueprint. I'd suggest you leave the group after your countdown ends, try going it alone for a few weeks and if you find it difficult then join another.:)
I resisted the bag of cookies at 6 syns and I'm eating my home made soup now so hopefully that will keep me going until tea time when I am having a simple to cook roast with just syns for the lamb shank and the Yorkshire. Forgot I have babycorn in the fridge so will have that probably with carrots and green beans.
My soup (third attempt) made in the soup maker is really tasty. Hopefully this will be my saving grace over the winter months. Pleased I bought it. Tomorrow I might have med veg soup and Friday sweet potato soup. Wished I hadn't looked to see which soup maker it was I bought however (so I could recommend it) as its £15 cheaper now than when I bought it only a couple of weekends ago. Oh well.
I agree that image therapy ends up a bit samey and its a shame the consultants don't have more freedom to be flexible with image therapy rather than having to go around the room all the time. Yes there are members who want support and might want to ask their consultant stuff or want to revel in their weight loss or want support for a gain when they have been so good. I'd much prefer image therapy if it looked at different aspects. Eg. surviving breakfast, what to have for lunch ideas. surviving weekend munchies etc. How rude of the consultant to question you.0 -

My consultant really pee'd me off yesterday. I weighed at the earlier class cos my lb has started swimming class for next 5 weeks which clashes with the normal class. I didn't stay for Image Therapy as didn't have time plus all she ever does is everyones loss and how to make sw chips!! No inspiration whatsoever. So she text me to ask why I didn't stay (didn't realise it was compulsory!) so I explained my reason. Her reply was "Maybe you should prioritise image therapy over your child's lessons"!! !!!!!!?! Yes I gained, but it's my first gain and IT is crap, I don't always stay for it. I have one week left of my countdown so I'm thinking I will either change groups or go it alone to save the money as I'm on maternity leave. I've lost way more than I expected by this point so happy to not attend class. I have lots of xmas things coming up too.
This would have annoyed me as well - I have to say that IT is the one thing I don't like about SW - I don't mind spending an hour of my time in IT if I was going to 'learn' something but as you say to spend an hour just hearing about the same old same old, it does make you wonder.....and just to add salt to the wound, my consultant - although I like her - has forgotten me and I've been effectively an after thought!0 -
My menu for today is something like this:
Breakfast: HEB toast and marmite
snacks: grapefruit and blueberries
Lunch: Deli box pasta (cheese and broccoli) (1.5 syns)
Dinner: either lamb shank (2.5 syns), baby spuds, cabbage and baby corn or SW chips with ham and eggs and lightly fried peppers.
Have a good day all x0 -
Morning, going to start some Christmas shopping today so I thought I'd get sorted before I go.
He a skimmed milk
He b wholemeal wrap ( yes I know.......)
B yogurt, blueberries
D chicken, peppers, onions, jalapeños all inside my wrap (easy to eat in the car)
L sausage and mash with sweetheart cabbage (making loads so can do bubble and squeak patties for tomorrow)
I'll check on sausage syns when I get home. Just waiting for school traffic to die down and then I'll be off. Have a great day.0 -
Enjoy the xmas shopping Matron Midge!
I'm off to our Christmas Market on Saturday for drinks with a friend and some market food
They are turning the Christmas lights on as well so it will be a nice day out. Hoping to come home at a sensible hour, but who knows:o
Saw a recipe on you tube last night I am going to try - basically turkey mince cooked Bolognese style and then stuffed into courgette boats with HEA cheese, will give that one a blast when I get the weekend over.0 -

Hi everyone
It's a 1lb gain for me this week. I'm not too upset as I've not been well and have been living off weetabix, bananas and hugely synful ice cream (medicinal for my sore throat). So quite pleased it wasn't more of a gain. I had a horrible migrainey head for 2 days (which made me sleep for virtually the whole weekend) and the sore throat has just only just left me. But no cold weirdly enough so I've no idea what it was - but I'm glad it's gone! Just booked my flu jab in too before anything else bad health-wise happens
Well done all the losers this week especially joint SOTW :T:T
Just back from my dentist. Annoyingly I have to have one of my fillings re-done as it's become defective and started trapping food .. I was mortified when she pulled out half of my breakfast from behind this 1 filling :rotfl: Have just joined a health scheme at work though so get 80% of my dental bills back which is nice timing :money:
Food-wise today I am aiming for:
B - egg wrap with bacon & beans.
L - grabits chicken with tomato and cucumber
T - sticky chicken (3 syns I think) with SW wedges and veg.
Not had hexb yet which is unusual for me so I might have a slice of toast (800g loaf) with something later. Unofficial hexa was a regular latte from greggs as I walked home.
Tete I've never heard of oxo with crackers in so if it's a northern thing its totally passed me by. I do like a mug of bovril though which is sort of similar, so might just give that a go one day. Sounds like a good winter warmer!
Hope you find some sausages that you like wiz I agree the asda ones are a bit herby, I have never found any that match up to my beloved richmonds! The BGTY burgers are nice enough so as maman says maybe the sausages will be a little more tasty
Hope you all have a good day
