LLS - if you do decide to use the shake mixes then you use either plain soya milk (400ml) or unsweetened almond milk (1 litre) - I usually use the almond milk if I want to make a rice pudding!

Fab thanks Denise I'll have a look for it after pay day :) got a voucher for £8 off a £40 spend at tesco so may go there for a change

Wow 24% of target weight gone already. Aren't you doing well!:T
lush , my DD did shakes with one meal in the evening to kick start weightloss. It worked fine but she started to feel shaky (excuse pun) probably because of not enough food so then she tried a decent breakfast and dinner but a shake for lunch. She'd been given them by a friend so wanted to use them up.

I've had a few snacks since my very early dinner. Ham with pickles and now an apple diced into cottage cheese.

Yeah I was thinking last night how I ended up quite ill before as they seemed to play on my stomach but when I did the 'healthy breakfast' cycle which is a shake and multivitamin at breakfast I was ok. I was using soy milk though which I think may have had something to do with it! Having one for breakfast then a nice lunch and tea would make life a lot easier - even if only on days we have morning events at work :)

    Today:
Breakfast. Tea with milk from hea, then scrambled eggs served up with ham, spinach and a fresh tomato and lashings of black pepper
Lunch: homemade leek and tattie soup and a jelly 0.5syn
Snacks: hardboiled eggs, free aldi yogurt, apple, satsuma, 2 finger kit kat 5.5syn.
Tea: planning bolognese served with spinach and a little pasta plus mushroom, peppers, beetroot 3syn
Leaves 6 syns for te evening. And a heb choice

Shala, can I re-jig my target for the challenge please? I'd like to be at the bottom end of target by Christmas, so I can eat ALL THE CHEESE and still be in target range.

Today (I think, still half asleep):
    B - Coffee, apple, clems
    D - Bacon/potato/mushroom/tomato omelette mess
T - Baked sweet potato with speedy Quorn chilli

Hi shala, sorry late checking in for week 2, but I lost 2.8lbs. Well done to all the losers this week!

Just quickly popping in to put my menu down for today - working from home so have the luxury of still being in my PJ's at 8am (usually I would have been in the office for an hour already!)

    B - Porridge (HEB & 1 syn), raspberries
L - lentil and vegetable soup, 2 pears
D - Fish Pie (1 syn), cauliflower, broccoli, carrots
S - cheese (HEA), gherkins, pickled onions, 2 clementines

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Chocomonsta and Gettingthere for SOTW. :T

Apologies for the misleading HEB oats information, but how ridiculous is that? So if I make porridge and don't finish the whole bowl I can't count it as my Heb and have to syn it? Sometimes SW logic is just silly. They're basically saying you won't lose weight if you eat less of something..... :rotfl:

Well done for all the great losses, that's brilliant that we've already lost 24% of our group target. :j

Hope you're feeling better today Beanie.

    Have a good day.

Head wobbled. Had a glass of wine last night as I was poorly with this cold and in a sulk, but well within syns as didn't have any more.

    Today

B - Banana. Didn't want anything so had to force it down.

D - Chicken noodle soup and melon and pineapple chunks

    T - Spaghetti Bolognese

Not sure about HEXs or syns. Lost my mojo a bit.
  • I don't know what happened to my result Shala. Last Wednesday I +1LB and I weigh at group tomorrow - secretly hoping for a good loss as I have been quite saintly with the gain and the threat of having to pay.
    Today I'm having
    Hea skimmed milk
    Heb not sure yet
    B yogurt and blueberries
L warm chicken and bacon salad with pomegranate seeds
D butternut squash risotto (may have to put some Parmesan in for flavour so will Syn that)
    Snacks satsumas and Heb
  • Hi all - been MIA due to some family drama...why can't everyone be normal!! Least said soonest mended. :(

Shala - can you please take me off the chart for this challenge - not got my head in the right place, will still lurk and post. I'll get back on it for the New Year challenge. I do appreciate all the work you do.

Well done to SOTW and all you losers...chin up for everyone else :)

    Congratulations to both our SOTW!

Had planned another Green day but DH had other ideas after I was batch cooking for the freezer!!! so it's going to have to be EE:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
    L - HM carrot & lentil soup
D - Spanish chicken pie (new recipe from the BBC Food website - found it when I was looking for new ideas for LO chicken!). Will have with green beans and cabbage.

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - probably some dark choc tomight

    Denise

PS If anyone is interested in the recipe it's basically onions & garlic softened the add 2 tins of tomatoes & 140g of piquant peppers; warm through then stir in 300g of the chopped LO chicken. Top with mash and bake at 200 for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Have to say it's made loads - far more than I expected. As I'll be serving it with veg each time I portioned it up into 8 portions; 2 for tonight and 3 x 2 portions in the freezer.
  • Morning all

    Well done SOTW and losers.

    A 1lb gain for me 😑
Totally expected and just grateful it wasn't more! I am craving sweet stuff and don't know why!

My consultant really pee'd me off yesterday. I weighed at the earlier class cos my lb has started swimming class for next 5 weeks which clashes with the normal class. I didn't stay for Image Therapy as didn't have time plus all she ever does is everyones loss and how to make sw chips!! No inspiration whatsoever. So she text me to ask why I didn't stay (didn't realise it was compulsory!) so I explained my reason. Her reply was "Maybe you should prioritise image therapy over your child's lessons"!! !!!!!!?! Yes I gained, but it's my first gain and IT is crap, I don't always stay for it. I have one week left of my countdown so I'm thinking I will either change groups or go it alone to save the money as I'm on maternity leave. I've lost way more than I expected by this point so happy to not attend class. I have lots of xmas things coming up too.
