T - Mince and tatties, fruit after as it's not very speedy.

:T to rj for getting to target. Well done!:T
How did you get on with your chilli gfb? Although I like lentil soup I don't like the texture of lentils too much. I make a veggie chilli (to have with a JP) by adapting my usual chilli con carne recipe i.e. upping the veg (onion, carrot, peppers, mushrooms, courgette and red beans) and leaving out the meat. I find a dollop of cottage cheese on top is great, sort of substitute for sour cream.
Is your sweet and sour recipe a SW one denise? I've got some pork in the freezer I'd like to use up (thin chops and cubes).
I'm sure you'll have a decent loss once you get back on plan lois.:)
I'm not sure what I'm doing for lunch. I need to go out soon but I'm not hungry enough to eat yet. So maybe I'll have a JP or a salad when I'm out if I feel the need.
When I get back I'm going to cook the beef stew ready for tomorrow. I've also made some pork burgers ( 6 quarter pounders) from a YS packet of mince as we've enjoyed the last lot so much.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEA milk with HEB porage
L: tbcgammon slices, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, something green and Speed
Syns: squirt of syrup0 -
Is carvery roast beef from Morrisons free if I cut the fat off?
Yes it is topgirl. It's listed as free on syns online.:)
Your post reminded me that our local carvery is closed for refurbishment so I didn't have carvery last night as planned. We went somewhere else and I was angelic ordering a steak with a salad instead of the usual accompaniments. When it arrived, I had the salad and the onion rings, chips etc. Well it would have been rude not to eat them........:o0 -

Cant believe tomorrow is Thursday - like seriously where has this week gone too!
Really behind and sneaky mid week weigh in tells me I've major work to do!
Off to the gym tonight, really trying to change my outlook at the minute and trying in the middle of all this work hell to be a positive percy and not negative nancy!0 -
Maman - the sweet & sour sauce isn't a true SW recipe as in it's not on the website but it is SW friendly!
Recipe as follows:
1/2 tsp Chinese 5 spice; 2 cloves of garlic; 2 tsp Cornflour (1 syn), 4 Tbs tomato puree; 1 Tbs white wine vinegar, 4 Tbs soy sauce; 150ml stock. Sweetner as required.
Mix 2 Tbs water with the 5 spice, cornflour, tom puree, white wine vinegar, soy sauce & stock.
Add the mixture to the pan, stir and reduce the heat to low.
Cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Taste and add some sweetner if required. I also add some fresh pineapple to warm through at the end if I have any.
You can either just pour over the pork or add the pork to it and warm through that way.
I've got another recipe which uses passata rather than stock but I find that one too tomatoey! but if you'd like that one, I'll sort it out and post.
I went to my daughter's earlier and luckily she'd made a leek & potato soup so SW friendly.
I've still got one slice of bread left to have as part of my HEB so may have a slice of toast with a Laughing Cow cheese triangle. If I do that'll be a total of 1.5 syns today!
Think I've reined back in really well this week so hoping for a decent loss tomorrow morning.

Hi everyone
It's 1.5lb loss for me this week, only slightly miffed that it wasn't a bit more but I'm happy to see a 10 on the scales again. My jeans feel a little looser than they did this time last week so good to know it's not all about the numbers!
Well done the losers this week and rj for getting to target :T0 -
Good progress, folks, well done.
Totally off plan today, but enjoyed it.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Thanks for the recipe denise .I suppose I could use it to braise pork chops or cubes.
I tweaked today's menu a bit and we had a potato and carrot mash with spring onions instead of chips . I sprinkled a bit of cheese on top and baked it. Then I had about 3/4 syns of chocolate. So about 5 syns extra.
I made the beef stew and will reheat tomorrow with the butter beans. I haven't been to Tesco yet to try the red wine stock so I used Oxo and plenty of seasoning and added sliced leeks to up the Speed.0
