Re carbs & SP, I can still have 2 weetabix on SP & starchy veg, like carrots, butternut squash & similar?
Yes, of course you can kim.:)

You can have your bread and cereals as HEBs and starchy veg makes up for no potatoes. Swede and carrot mash is good on cottage pie and courgetti instead of pasta or cauliflower rice is popular.

If you really miss potatoes (I know I would as I love my chips and roasties) then you can have them for the odd meal. Think of it as a spectrum with 100% EE at one end and 100% EESP at the other. The closer you come to the EESP the better it should be for weightloss.

Sounds like you're really keen to make it work. Go for it '!

wiz, I've not tried the Asda sausages myself as I shop in Sainsbury's but lush recommended them. Why not try one pack? You could cook them as a snack to try and if you don't like them give them to Mrwiz!:rotfl:

How did your oh loose so much more than you? I'm guessing you either met recently (at the meetings) or he started way before you?

Sorry for being noisy - stinking weight loss - well done to him!

I probably should have explained better, we've been going to this particular SW class since April and he's lost 2 and a half stone.. but we've been joining and leaving SW classes for about 5-6 years :o in that time he's lost 8 stone, whereas I've just lost and gained the same stone back over and over.

Welcome to the thread hunny  and welcome back Maisie  added you both to the challenge.

Lush, massive hugs, it's awful when you have a gain. YOU know that you're doing the right things so  to all those people who aren't supporting you properly! I really hope you have a massive loss next week and this is all down to water retention or hormones this week.. that'll show them!

I think Wilkos do food diaries now (33 ish), i'm sure they have a water tracker in them. It won't be set out in the SW way but might be worth a look for next time :)

How did that man manage to eat anything else through the day Denise  that's pretty much one muller every 30-40 minutes!!!

I remember my consultant talking about Muller yogurts and saying, 'Yes, Muller lights are free but only to a certain degree.'

We were told at an old class that muller isn't classed as a "free" food it's just that its 0 syns so it should be written in your food diary in the syn section not the free food section. Writing that down now it doesn't make much sense but at the time our consultant explained it, it did :rotfl:

Menu for today - tea went a bit awry it was meant to be bacon and squash stew from the SW website but turns out I had no bacon or BNS! :o
    B - yogurt, satsuma, hifi bar (3)
L - beef stew (carrots, leeks, onions, beef) wholemeal thin (heb)
T - chicken and sweet potato stew (onions, carrots, passata and Cajun spices) cheese (hea)
    S - crisps (4) milk (1)

    Hi all

Well I lost 1 lb this week which I really wasn't expecting but didn't get Miss Slinky (by one vote apparently).

Only 1.5 lbs to target and two weeks of countdown left.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I remember my consultant talking about Muller yogurts and saying, 'Yes, Muller lights are free but only to a certain degree.' Like, if you were having three or more every single day then it wouldn't be classed as free if you get what I mean? I think 1 Muller light per day should be free and then a syn value added on for any extras - or maybe 2 are free. Yes, they're fat free but they have so much sugar in them!! I personally never have more than 2 in a day but I don't have them every day anyway

I wAs talking to my mum about SW and was saying about Muller Light yogurts and she said, that as a diabetic, she couldn't eat them due to all the sugar.

I must admit I have had 3 in a day - one as a milk substitute for breakfast, one after lunch and then maybe one to snack on in t he evening.

One thing I don't understand though is that if they are full of sugar then given the changes to HEB options recently because of sugar how can they keep muller lights as free/ zero syns
  • Gettingtheresometime - rumours are that SW have some sort of sponsorship deal thing with Muller...

I was told you should fill up on free food not syn free food. Syn free food should be a treat not daily. Easier said than done though!

Dinner was mixed beans chilli with rice and few oven chips 4syns. 3syns for sour cream. Had snack of Alpen lights heb, pear, banana, lolly 4syns, biscuits 4syns.

20syns exactly. Missing a hea and heb though.
