Welcome hunny33. Of course you can join the thread. There are lots on here who don't attend group. However, it is probably worth going to one class just to get up to date books as a lot has changed over the last couple of years.

    Good luck.

That sounds good hunny. You'll be well on the way to a stone off by Christmas.:)

If I were you I'd start with a meal plan for the week ahead and a shopping list to go with it. The sample 7 day plan online is a good basis or see what others are eating on here. If you have time, do post your menus (I find it helps massively with staying on track and we'll comment on anything that doesn't look right) and ask if you need to know anything.:)

I've done a bit more grazing across lunch time but now stopping until time for dinner. So far my 'lunch' has been 3 slices of ham, remains of a tub of cottage cheese, an apple and a pear.

Called into Lidl while I was out as I needed milk although won't be doing my proper shop until Sunday as I'm out all day tomorrow. Pleased to say that the large jars of cornichons are now back in stock as they're half the price of the little cocktail type ones. I bought 4 large jars and a big jar of pickled cabbage. I noticed they've got 5% mince on offer at about £6 per kg and also chicken legs which would be good for a tray bake. But didn't need those at the moment. I need to run my freezers down a bit before Christmas.

Those sausages from Asda , are they dry or are they really nice and tasty?
I am funny about sausages in case they have fat or gristle.
Do let me know if they're nice. I do know that the Richmond Irish are ok but, as you say Maman, saving Syns is very important.

Welcome kim. Just ask anything you need to know. EESP isn't supposed to be a long term way of eating as it's almost carb free and would be difficult to sustain. If I were you I'd try the ready meals one at a time and see which ones you like. They definitely need Speed veg added. Check the list of which veg counts.:)

Re carbs & SP, I can still have 2 weetabix on SP & starchy veg, like carrots, butternut squash & similar?

I bought a bag of the SW ones & meat balls. I haven't tried either. I'm normally really fussy about sausages, I doubt I'll love them!

Maybe ill save them for bangers & mash, they'd be better slow cooked in gravy (after being browned).

I remember my consultant talking about Muller yogurts and saying, 'Yes, Muller lights are free but only to a certain degree.' Like, if you were having three or more every single day then it wouldn't be classed as free if you get what I mean? I think 1 Muller light per day should be free and then a syn value added on for any extras - or maybe 2 are free. Yes, they're fat free but they have so much sugar in them!! I personally never have more than 2 in a day but I don't have them every day anyway
