Good morning everyone and it's a cold one,it's bright, fine but cold.i am staying in today, all day, so, I had better watch myself and not Syns too much:)

So, this will be my menu for today Thursday.....

    Breakfast.. porridge A/B mixed berries.

Lunch. Mushroom soup, and a cheese toastie A/B melon, clementine.

Dinner, fish 6 Syns s/w wedges, lemon, mushy peas, Apple.

    Extra.2 Ryvita 3 Syns plum, 2 crackerbread 2 Syns

    11 Syns :T:T:T
  • Almost cried at group last night; 1lb gain. What's that all about?!?!

Anyway my consultant has suggested building a few syns in to my meals so that I'm not just looking forward to my evening meal all day which can end up in cravings.
Now normally I really like my consultant but the way she spoke to me last night upset me a bit - she made out that I must be sneaking in syns and stuff which I'm not, and I know some people might but I am absolutely not, and I'm highly sensitive so that stung a bit. especially as OH was saying the same at home saying he watches me sit and eat cakes and biscuits on an evening which I don't do!

So, trying to dust myself off yet again. Today:
Breakfast: Rhubarb baked oats (allowing 4syn as I used a little more rhubarb and a touch of sweetener compared to last time)
Lunch: Chicken salad with free cottage cheese followed by a kitkat (5.5syn) and free yogurt
Tea: 2 asda reduced fat pork sausages (0.5syn) with carrots, cauliflower, tomato, mushroom, beetroot and pickled onions and 2 Bernard Matthew mini kiev (littlie is having these for her tea and I'd like to try them) which are 1.5 syn each so 3syn
Which leaves me 2syn for a hot chocolate once we get to our caravan tonight
Snacks: apple, satsuma, small pot of melon
Drinks: water, tea, ribena winter spice
    Heb oats
Hea milk (in tea/possible hot choc)
total syns 13 without hot choc/15 with it

oops really? I thought they were a generous portion for one :o :rotfl:

Not a problem if you eat the whole pack as long as you have the Speed alongside, either 1/2 for SP or 1/3 for EE; but only if you need to eat it all to satisfy your appetite not just because it's FREE, LOL!

We had a guy at group yesterday morning who put on because he was literally eating far too much Free food - about 18 Muller Lights a day - don't know how he managed it to be quite honest!

I know how you feel LLS - it's horrible when you've had a good week and then you either put on or STS! It doesn't sound as though your consultant was being particularly supportive last night. Hopefully she'll be a bit more helpful in future like she was previously. Perhaps she was just having a bad day - we all get them from time to time, but still not an excuse to be unsupportive.

    Today's plan:

    B - fruit; fromage frais
L - ham salad sandwich; 1 Laughing Cow Lighter (1) instead of spread
D - fish pie; green veg of some sort

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - Laughing Cow; wine

    Ditch the scales! ;)
If you can't bring yourself to throw them in the bin then put them in the loft or give them to family/friend to look after until you get to target. :)

I can't maman - even my class leader has offered to smash them or at least hoard them for me. The only thing I will say is my scales match the class scales exactly and to a certain extent, if I see I've lost weight its an incentive to me as I'm more of an 'how low can I go sort of person'.

I've cut back on the number of times I've weighed this week - I'm just not ready to go cold turkey!

LLS isn't gauling when you know you haven't 'cheated' yet are being accused of it - mum has the same attitude thrown at her at the diabetic clinic if her sugar levels go up and she is really strict about what she eats.

The only thing I can suggest, to see if you do it unconsciously (not saying you do!) is to lather your hands with handcream - works for me when there's a KFC in the house!

The only other thing I can think of is perhaps you drank more yesterday - especially now the colder weather is coming in, I seem to be cwtching a coffee permentantly....mind you evening weigh ins are a bugg3r as far as I'm concerned.
  • Shala well done to you both x

    Meals today so far:

B - omelette filled with tomatoes, spinach, peppers and cheese hea. Salted new pots. 1 syn ketchup.
L - leftover dinner - mash, veg, new pot, 2 quorn sausages 2 syns, gravy 2 syns.

No idea yet on dinner or snacks x

    Morning everyone

Just caught up with posts since I was last online, I didn't get time yesterday as we were travelling. Had lunch with my sister when we arrived, then spent the rest of the day (until 11pm:eek:) helping my neice move house. It's her first unfurnished home and she'd bought flat pack furniture for it so we got stuck into building it for her. Dinner was a chippy meal but I was very good - I had fish and mushy peas and left most of the batter. I was very short on speed yesterday, so I'm going to try for a speed overdose today, we've got a family get together at the Harvester so I'll have loads of salad.

Lush - I really feel for you, it's a shame you don't feel more supported by your SW consultant and your OH. You are so organised and obviously plan really well, you deserve great weight losses so it must be soul destroying when it doesn't happen. You know you have the support of everyone here.

Got to go, catch you later. Have a great day.

    LL :)

  • My writing things down is going well, ended on 8 syns yesterday and 9 speed foods (which I'm quite proud of as that's one of the things where I struggle).

    Today's food plan:

B - crunchy bran with muller light & strawbs, one cup of tea, banana & satsuma for morning snack
L - BNS soup with egg wrap instead of bread to dunk - hoping I can fool my belly into thinking it's a roll or something :p
T - WW wrap (5 syns) pizza - ham & pineapple with remaining hexa for grated cheese, will have with wedges or chips I think and spring greens

Will probably have an options for 2 syns later, nice way to round the day off when it gets chilly on a night

Not much speedy stuff in there, so will have to remedy that during the day somehow

    Have a good friday everyone

That's gross!_pale_ I've never agreed with the 'fill your boots with free food' theory. I always look at my food across the day and the free food has to fit into the two thirds (or less) left after I've planned my third of Speed.
Tea: 2 asda reduced fat pork sausages (0.5syn)

I'm angry with the consultant on your behalf lush:mad:. I'm puzzled why you aren't losing too but I wouldn't dream of suggesting that you're eating syns and keeping it quiet. And as for your DH imagining he sees you eating biscuits of an evening! He doesn't know how lucky he is having you cook him separate meals. :A

Your menu for today looks great. 100% on plan I'd say. Have a lovely time at the caravan. Try your best but don't obsess over food. Just keep plodding. It'll come good in the end. :)

I highlighted the sausages to show wiz which were the low syn ones in Asda. I think they're the right ones and it'll save loads of syns.

Hope you manage to stay out of the sandwich shop FE. You've done well to stick to plan all week. Have you got the weekend menus organised:).

I'm having a day on plan as we're eating out again tomorrow.:o

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: graze on ham and pickled cabbage as not very hungry
D:HM pork burger, SW chips, fried onions, tomato, mushrooms and green stuff (peas, asparagus, mange tout and broccoli).
    Syns: weekend wine
  • thank you for your support everyone; it really does mean a lot :)
they are the right ones maman and I think they're lovely. £1.50 for 8 from the freezer section. 0.5 syns for 2 and I think that's more than enough - my consultant often posts pictures of her evening meals with heck sausages where there's 4-6 heck sausages which are about the same syn value but look longer and thinner however I've never been one for more than 2 sausages unless they are chipolatas at Christmas!
ASDA also do a Mediterranean chicken one which other sin my group have tried and liked but I've not bothered.

Finally got a journal last night (already a week in to my countdown) so started that today. the things that still annoy me about these journals: not everyone's SW week starts on a Monday so I'd prefer if the menu planner didn't have days of the week against it. I'd also like a water/fluid tracker like you get in some journals available online
