We have Mr Sleek and Miss Slinky at group tomorrow. We're also having tasters, which we always do when there's a competition of any sort - with our consultant it's any excuse!!!

Now I know why I never weigh at home lush . I got rid of the last set of scales and have no plans to replace. For those of you who don't go to a group I'd suggest you are strict just getting the scales out once a week at a set time and then hide them away.:)
Seems Wednesday night is Chicken Night in Wetherspoons. I had piri piri chicken breast with chips and plain salad plus a small pot of coleslaw. Chicken seemed to have only a light dusting of seasoning. So syns mainly in chips but also had wine syns.
I can recommend the Raymond Briggs film. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Basically done as a memoir for his mum and dad but good socal comment from about 1930 to 1970 for anyone who's
interested and using his artwork to make the cartoon style film0 -

I won the SW journal in the raffle (bit late in the day to be filling in one of these things me thinks). More convenient than filling in the single sheet food diaries and there's more space.
I have also bought a 12 week countdown, so should get the Christmas book soon.
Don't know what to have for tea tomorrow night, I have some frozen mushy pea curry which was from last week or SW burgers.
Does anyone go to group here - if so, have you voted for Mr Sleek and Miss Slinky yet? Our consultant said about it a couple of weeks ago, but nothings happened yet.
I will try and pop on here again soon. Take care x
We nominated Mr Sleek and Miss Slinky last week and voted for the winners this Monday with a tasters session.

When I managed the 3lbs loss to get back into target range a couple of weeks ago I was stricter on my syns. Since getting to target I do my HEXs by eye (except for bread) so going for closer to 70 for the week rather than 105 meant I had a safety net. Also I drank much more water and squash to both help with digestion and make sure I didn't go over on milk. And then loads of Speed.:D0
-
Shala - perhaps you could try one or more of the challenges we do at group sometimes. Things like having a different HEB every day; 7 Speed food, 7 minutes of exercise; 7 Syns a day although have to say I usually have at least 7 Speed foods most days anyway.
Upping the amount of water/NAS squash you drink every day can also be useful. Are you weighing/measuring your HEA/HEB?
Have you tried doing a SAS log? You might be able to find out what it is you're doing that's not helping.
Denise
Thanks Denise, might ask at class about the SAS log, it can't hurt filling it in..
I'm not a big fan of speed food so struggle to have vast amountsbut tried really hard this week and nothing.. My consultant sees my meals on Instagram so that's something I can get her to check for me too.

Cheery morning to you all
B 40g porridge oats with Muller light
L remainder of SW KFC chicken (love it) from last night and salad of beetroot, watercress, cucumber, peppers and halloumi cheese HE_A
D Hairy bikers steak casserole with carrot n swede mash
S Muller light yoghurt
will make some soup on weekend, its getting too cold for salads! I am thinking spicy parsnip, or carrot and coriander - yum0 -
Morning everyone. All this talk of soups reminds me that I had the most amazing lentil and vegetable soup last week. Recipe was from the soupdragon on a certain photo sharing social media place and although it was a bit of a faff (having to grate what felt like a million carrots and swede) it tasted amazing and was synfree!
Going out for a chinese with work tonight as one of my colleagues is off the Australia for 3 weeks tomorrow so we want to give him a nice send off before his holiday.
B - Porridge (HEB & 3 syns), raspberries
L - Jacket potato, beans cheese (HEA), salad
D - chicken in oyster sauce (I want to say it's about 8 syns?), steamed rice

Lantana - good on you booking a solo hols. I've flown round the world multiple times solo. You'll be fine! Just allow plenty of time.

Thanks, its only 4 nights so I'm sure I will be fine. I'm looking forward to it.
Don't give up Shala and Lush. Shala I get stuck in that range too. Only suggestion I would have is cut back on your complex carbs and replace with speed where possible.
I've set myself a challenge to get all the green tea on my desk drunk by the 23rd of December. There is lots of it. My Christmas dinner is on the 17th of December and I'm thinking of that every time I'm tempted to be naughty. Really don't fancy going this size as I'll be uncomfortable and its a stark reminder that I've gained a lot since last years one. Want to get back to as near as I can to last years Christmas dinner weight.
Going to see The Girl on the Train on Saturday night and for dinner in a Italian beforehand. They do the cauliflower base pizzas so going to try one of those. I'll have a few gins on Saturday night as well, just with it being Saturday night.
Also set myself a challenge to try and go to the every week night where possible after work even just to do 30 mins on the treadmill. I find it easier to get myself there at the minute if I tell myself its only walking for half an hour.
Am I the only weird person that actually doesn't like Tasters at group? I'm not overly fussed on eating other peoples food and then I think if I am going to eat syns and things I'd rather choose them myself. Again I am weird but I hate it when they announce its taster week lol.0 -
I've tweaked my menu for today since getting up which is HEB toast for breakfast. Fruit for snacking (grapefruit and blueberries). Lunch is jacket, tuna and salad (15g) cheese and picked onions & beetroot and then tea is sainsburys be good to yourself chilli & rice (6 syns). (Need a quick tea tonight). (followed by raspberries and meringue nests. Have a good day all x
There may be some chocolate syns that creep in too.... (and out of interest) how many syns would you allow for Hotel Chocolate (Chocolates) (in particular the Florentines that they sell) (I bought some so could have one or two after weigh in but would like to know how best to syn them).0
