I too need to make some more soups. DH said he enjoyed the leek & potato one so I'll buy some more leeks when I go shopping on Thursday after group, have got plenty of onions & potatoes and make a big batch to portion up and freeze. Also want to make some more mixed veg soup as I really enjoy that, although DH isn't so keen.
Today's plan is:
B - oat pancakes, frozen fruit & yoghurt. Not sure what I did wrong but the pancakes weren't as nice as last time I made them.
L - Austrian hash type thing
D - Butcher's burger (0.5) in bun (6 syns); SW chips, beans, corn on the cob
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - roll 6; burger 0.5

I need to see about making some soup. Would save the headscratching over which to have that isn't too many syns.....
I am tired today after a rubbish night's sleep. Roll on switch off work computer, go home, feet up on sofa timeHere's my menu.
Breakfast: Blueberries
Snack: kitkat 5.5 syns
Lunch HEB toast with snack pot beans (mixed with curry powder) and HEA of cheese.
Pear
Tea: not sure. Either SW chips with eggs and mushrooms/peppers
or lamb shank (2.5) jacket spud, babycorn, baby spinach
pudd - meringue nest, frozen morello cherries (defrosted) and some cherry sauce (syns for that) pft.
Oh in other news, I lost 1 pound this week. Not sure if we are counting from this week or next shala ? I was expecting more (thanks to home scales) but never mind!0 -
afternoon all - I made baked oats last night ready to be reheated this morning for breakfast. Used a recipe from the tinterweb and it was lovely. I may only use the one egg next time though.
before leaving for work: cup of tea, milk from hea
breakfast: baked oats - counting 3 syns I made it with a free rhubarb and vanilla yogurt (asda) and 100g tinned rhubarb (2.5) now my consultant wasn't 100% sure then said she thinks the rhubarb would just hold that syn value as it's already been cooked before being tinned (cooked rhubarb is 0.5syn per 100g) I figured 3 should be about right in any case!
snack: 2 finger kitkat 5.5syn
lunch: salad (lettuce, red pepper, tomato, cucumber, pickled onion) with half a leftover sw beef burger sliced. aldi banana and custard yogurt (0.5syn)
mid afternoon: melon and Satsuma pieces
tea: going to try and cook some cod with rice and cauliflower/carrots. Might top my cod with a tbsp. green pesto (3.5syn)
counting the last of my syns for a few dolly mixtures (not many but being safe)
hea: milk (though I've not even used half yet)
heb: 35g oats (couldn't remember and didn't have the sheet to hand to check if it has gone up to 40g but think it may have)
planning for tomorrow as it's taster night at group:
breakfast: melon chunks (got an event where the catering is croissants so will take these with me!)
lunch: cupshotz, hard boiled egg and apple and Satsuma (have meetings post event so something quick and easy!)
tea: taster night at group
not sure what to make for tasters; maybe a peanut butter baked oats loaf, or nutella one...or either of those as a wheatbran cake. Will either do as a loaf and slice as I have a silicon loaf tin or as individual muffins in silicon cases. both would have syns but you'd get a lot of either for the 4/5 syns they'd be.************************************

i really need to take the battery out of my home scales. stepped on before tea and they say almost 2lb gain
and I've ended up having half a portion of chicken meat from the chip shop for tea (10syns i'm guessing) with salad (lettuce, onion, cucumber, tomato.
that puts me at a good level of speed but about 18.5syns. i'd definitely give up if I hadn't bought a countdown************************************

Saved myself a few syns this evening as didn't have the roll, so 6 syns saved but have made some SW chocolate brownies for taster tomorrow and had a couple, just for quality control purposes you understand! Still need to work out the syns but shouldn't be more than a syn I wouldn't have thought.

This week FE, well done for losing the 1lb:T.. best not to weigh on home scales (even though i'm the worst for it!!)lushlifesaver wrote: »i really need to take the battery out of my home scales. stepped on before tea and they say almost 2lb gain
Its rubbish when you sneaky peek and it's a gainme and OH have both done it tonight and both gained - even though we've been golden  pah.. stoopid scales.
I hope by you're happier tomorrow with your SW result *big hugs*
Had a bit of a strop tonight so tea didn't quite go to plan. We'd gained on the home scales then we had no rice to go with the chicken tikka.. I had a naan bread instead.:o
B - yogurt, apple, granola (3)
L - corn thins (heb) cheese triangles (0.5hea) pickles, ham
T - SW chicken tikka, naan(5.5) salad, cake (8)
S - satsumas, crisps (4) milk (0.5 hea)
So, over syns but too late to take them back so never mind
I'm really struggling to lose anything, I seem to have plateaued at 13 stone for 7 weeks now, bit fed up with it. I've kept completely on plan this week, wrote everything down and still nothing
Might research some ways to kick start it... google will be my friend!:DMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Shala - perhaps you could try one or more of the challenges we do at group sometimes. Things like having a different HEB every day; 7 Speed food, 7 minutes of exercise; 7 Syns a day although have to say I usually have at least 7 Speed foods most days anyway.
Upping the amount of water/NAS squash you drink every day can also be useful. Are you weighing/measuring your HEA/HEB?
Have you tried doing a SAS log? You might be able to find out what it is you're doing that's not helping.

Haven't been on here for ages, hope everyone is doing fine.
I won the SW journal in the raffle (bit late in the day to be filling in one of these things me thinks). More convenient than filling in the single sheet food diaries and there's more space.
I have also bought a 12 week countdown, so should get the Christmas book soon.
Don't know what to have for tea tomorrow night, I have some frozen mushy pea curry which was from last week or SW burgers.
Does anyone go to group here - if so, have you voted for Mr Sleek and Miss Slinky yet? Our consultant said about it a couple of weeks ago, but nothings happened yet.
I will try and pop on here again soon. Take care xStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670
