I much prefer my Saturday morning class to my previous Monday night one lantanna, it gets it out of the way and kick starts the week. The only danger is going a bit crazy as it's the weekend and you've already weighed-in but after a couple of weeks doing this I have learned my lesson and settled down and I'm sure you are more sensible than me anyway! ;)
  • Hi everyone

Welcome to the newcomers and welcome back lantanna :hello:

Sorry to hear your news Top Girl, hope you are bearing up ok, take care

Yesterday was a good food day for me, although pretty weird as I didn't fancy any tea, I didn't feel hungry so ended up with a very un-evening meal like snack of fruit and yoghurt. Under on syns too so that made me a happy bunny

    Today's food:

B - crunchy bran with FF lemon yoghurt and a satsuma
L - egg wrap with bacon, wedges and beans
T - gammon grill with JP and salad (odd combo but it needs using up :D)

Unsure on syns yet but no doubt they will get used as I'll start feeling snacky later
  • Well I did get up and I did go swimming - and more importantly I enjoyed it.

Couldn't believe the number of people who were there either

Good to see you back Lantanna. Hopefully the Saturday morning class will be better for you. I've always had a Thursday morning class, don't think I'd bother if I had to go out in the evening!

    Today's Green plan is:

    B - onion, pepper & mushroom omlette
L - HM leek & potato soup; 1 slice of crustless bread 2 syns
D - cauliflower cheese; red curly kale

    HEA1 & 2 - 1% milk
    HEB1 - cheese
    HEB2 - 2 Alpen Lights

Syns - 1/2 pack cheese sauce mix 4 syns; slice bread 2 syns = 6 syns

9 syns towards the weekend extras!

Am I right in thinking that if I have frozen raspberries and let them defrost naturally in the fridge they're still a speed food? It's only if I cook the, that they gain a syn value?
What if I microwave them to try and defrost them? Speed or syn?

I asked about this at group as I use frozen berries a lot. I was told as long as I didn't cook them they are free :)

It is worth it. I had a swim today too and feel so much better for it. I started back at swimming early September and can see and feel the difference already for it. I also try and walk everywhere if possible and that has made a difference too.

    Great celebration greentiger :D

Welcome Romylou you will get great support here.

I am now getting back on track after my holiday. Today the menu is:

    B. Overnight oats (oats HEb, fat free natural yoghurt, berries)

    L. Bowl of carrot and sweet potato soup (with lots of other speed blended in, one slice wholemeal toast (6 syns), two scrambled eggs

    D. Leek and butternut squash risotto (4 syns for my share of olive oil and ricotta cheese), an apple.
