Just missed out on the Halloween challenge as STS this week but overall pleased I did it as it gave me a shorter term goal to focus on. Much as I'd love to stick down a stone so I could start the new year in the 12s I'll stick with a pound a week so 8lbs please.

Completely understand x will you have any sort of back to work interview? If you feel it's too much though, back to the doctors with you.. :)

I managed to get some of the Iceland mince :j will have it as a cottage pie tomorrow night, hope it's nice as it's very cheap compared to the supermarket/butchers.

Came home to have a catch up on everything internet related but I've had to take myself off some of the Faceb00k SW groups as I can't believe grown women act so mean!

I'm glad we have this support group as there is no belittling of people going on. Thank you all for being so lovely to everyone, and to all the new people that have joined us please, please don't be anxious to ask any question whether you think it's too silly or not.

Ohhh sorry, rant over, it just really made me angry..

Anyway I came back to post the list of challengees that I have so far.. if I've missed anyone then please give me a kick and i'll add you on :D

Sorry about the formatting! We have pledged 9stone 5.5lb so far :T:T:T:T

Shala took the words straight out of my mouth. I know what you mean about taking the plunge now or never but if you go back and it's still too much take the extra time you need xx

Now that I'm not eating salads for lunch due to the weather and I'm allowing myself a little bit of slack with being at target I'm conscious that things could go wrong. So I've gone back to the website and am looking at recipes to get my head back in the game. I made the chicken supreme last night which was yum! I also bought a kilo of drumsticks as I remember them being mentioned as good snacks but I'm not 100% sure what to do with them. Also how long will they last in the fridge after I've cooked them??

So sorry for your loss TG. Just try to remember the good times you had with Top Nana. I know it's hard to believe but time really is a good healer.

Welcome to all the newbies and good luck on your journey.

Shala - I don't usually join in the challenges but think as I'm still struggling to lose my holiday weight I'm going to join in this time. I'm such a slow loser and am not that far from target I'll aim for 4lb by Christmas - so 0.5lb per week.

Had a lovely weekend with lots of walking. Even the buffet on Saturday wasn't too bad and I only had about 3 syns in addition to wine syns! I'll still need to rein back a bit during the week but not as much as expected!

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
L - ham & lettuce sandwich, Laughing Cow cheese instead of butter (1), pickled onions, cornichons
D - chicken curry from freezer, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - Laughing Cow 1; wine 10

Didn't get to make dippy eggs!

B - fried eggs and beans on wholemeal heb. 1 syn ketchup
L - big salad, mixed beans, cheese hea
    D - ?
    Snacks - banana
    Milk 2 x hea.

    Not sure on dinner yet.

TIE I will be thinking of you when you go back. Just take a day at a time and be open minded about what could happen. This time last year I felt like I was fighting for my career and it would be appalling if I couldn't manage to continue. Last week I had a week's holiday in term time (half term is earlier in Scotland) and it was wonderful. I was doing fabulous things like visiting a herd of reindeer, long distance walks and going on a steam railway when, had I continued at work, I would have been deep in stress and exhaustion mode. The financial side did feel like jumping off a cliff, but thanks to all I have learned over the years on MSE I have landed on a sandy beach.

Shala thanks for all your work setting up the challenge, I am excited to join. Although I started badly as yesterday was the only day I have fallen off the wagon and I did it in style. Today I talked myself back into enjoying SW and for the first time I cooked the SW fish and chips. What a treat :D

Topgirl so sorry to hear your news.

I have been fat and v unhappy (and quite mean to myself) over the last couple of years - I have been hiding away and not socialising. I still feel quite shy at the group, so that's why I have joined this. Good luck and big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome xx

Hi Chocomonsta, I can totally relate. Hide myself away but I feel bad because I want to get out and do things with my son without thinking that everyone is judging me for being so big😢
I'm a new mam juggling baby, bills and everything else - phew!
