    Hi,

I've never done SW before and really want to give it a go. I think I have about 5st to lose after having a baby, but I'm terrified to get on the scales so at the moment I don't know how much I weigh.

Could I join your group? I know I would have to get weighed. When are you starting your challenge and I'll post my stats to start. (First step is admitting the problem right?)

I'll go to the start of your thread and read the rules so I can figure out what to do.

    I really need help.

    Thank you x
I'm a new mam juggling baby, bills and everything else - phew!
  • Hi Romylou

Just give it a go, I am amazed at my weight loss (2 stone plus) since middle of August and I haven't found it hard. I have really enjoyed the meals and actually enjoy focussing on 'me' for a change. You need to weigh yourself so you can see your weight losses but you don't have to post the actual number here. I started at 14.7 stone now I am down to 12.0 :T Still another 2 to 3 stone to go

I have been fat and v unhappy (and quite mean to myself) over the last couple of years - I have been hiding away and not socialising. I still feel quite shy at the group, so that's why I have joined this. Good luck and big thanks to everyone for the warm welcome xx

Welcome to the board ElusiveLucy and chocomonsta(love the name :D)

Of course, what do you want your target weight loss to be for the 8 week challenge? 9.5lbs? That hurt my head trying to work that out! :D

Slipped up a bit last night with some marshmallows but I have synned them and it just means I need to be more careful today. Luckily they were less syns than I thought though so only 3.5 over yesterday.

    Menu for today (red day)
B - carrot wheatbran cake (0.5 heb), yogurt, satsumas
L - brisket, wholemeal roll(heb), red slaw, bbq sauce (1)
T - BNS chips, pizza topped chicken (hea), salad, pickles
S - crisps (3.5) hifi (0.5heb) milk in drinks (hea)

    Have a good day xx

Sorry Shala ....a bad habit of mine I'm afraid but yes your maths are correct 9 1/2 lbs for this challenge please

  • Depending on what the scales say on Tuesday, I'm not sure what I'll need to lose. I'll say 1lb for now as that's what I've got to get to hit target! I'll up it if I've gained this week xx

Good to see some new people joining our lovely new thread. Welcome all.:)

Are you planning to join a group romylou or just do it on your own with the help of the thread? Do ask all the questions you want.:)

Glad you had a good holiday flutterby. Poor show from Sainsbury's though.:(

I persuaded DH to come out for a walk and we stopped for lunch. I had a prawn JP so only syns were the mayo which really didn't taste full fat so maybe 3 syns. I could have had beans but DH doesn't eat prawns so having them out is a good opportunity.

We're going to see the Raymond Briggs film (Ethel and Ernest?) on Wednesday and DH is already thinking about where we can eat. He really means well but...

Since we got back I've put Bolognese sauce (packed with Speed;)) in the SC and prepped veg for tomorrow. We've got football again late afternoon so I need to get ahead of myself with our dinner.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: Prawn JP with salad garnish
D: steak, SW chips, tomato, mushrooms and something green (probably asparagus, mange tout and peas). I might do fried onions as well.
Syns: squirt of syrup, mayo (as above) and weekend wine.:D

    Hello Everyone,

It is exciting to come back from holiday to a shiny new thread. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone's posts.

Please put me down for 7lbs by Christmas. I am just back from holiday and away again in two weeks time for a hotel break that involves some wonderful food, so I feel 7lb is ambitious enough just now.

    Hello lovelies.

    Top Nana died on Sunday.

I don't know how much I've ever really shared on here, but Top Nana basically brought me up. My (estranged) mum had bi polar, and when I was born, she gave up work and had us whenever my mum was having an episode.

My brother and I were removed from my mother's care aged 12 (me) and 11 and taken into foster care as my dad didn't want us and by that point, my granddad's health was bad and they couldn't cope with my brother. So I spent six years in foster care. But, if it wasn't for her, I would have been gone a lot sooner and I wouldn't have half the happy memories that I do.

Anyway, needless to say, I've been off plan. And I'm a comfort eater. It hasn't been pretty.

But I'm back on it as of tomorrow. My Nana was always health conscious and (without wanting to sound cheesy or hallmark) she'd have been proud of me getting to target when I do.

    So, we go again.

    Hope you're all well xx

Hello, ElusiveLucy, Romylou and chocmonsta, come on in.

Oh, TG, I am so sorry you’ve lost your Nana. She sounds like she was a real anchor.

Didn’t go to match today (DH has a sore thoat – a real man’s debilitating illness, lol); probably just as well.

Breakfast: fake eggs Benedict (hexb toast, ham, spinach, poached eggs, mayo (2) )
Lunch: cheese & broccoli Pasta ‘n’ Sauce, 1 wee toast (3)
    Snack: fs Maltesers (5)
Dinner: half share of chicken rogan josh & rice, spiced onions (10)
    Snack: hexa cheese grapes

Syns are getting out of control just now. Big effort needed to rein them in.

    See you all tomorrow.
