Ive stepped bck alot . i have my own life and no longer care what he does, its hard to break that bond . After his affair and consequently moving in with his mistress , its been a while , im quite happy to let karma take its toll.

However that aside , the kids are my priority . they have a good relationship with their father , is more their father now hates me for having an opinion and standing up for what is right by the kids. I will continue o do so , even if a one line email gets a three page response, sigh.

What's best for the children?

It might be better if you did agree to help more if you think not assisting means they will lose out on their relationship with their father or if they appear to struggle around handover times. My SSs appear to find moving between one house and the other very difficult and we have been advised that it would help them if their mother helped more with the travelling (as the change between one primary care giver and the other would be more gradual that way).

On the other hand, is your ex enough of an idiot that he would cancel contact with you stood on the doorstep with the kids? (I'd say no for their sake if you think this is likely)
