living the goodlife that's an upside
Thrifty oh on the beds thing........I'm curious what is a smoke man? I will be at risk of being sexist and for which I apologise. But DS at 8 already has 'man look' in his vocab as he's heard me so many times say ' did you have a look, or just a man look' when hunting for belongings that are right there!
It's one of those. Got one from the 40's from my granny.
Having a man look, brilliant, have to remember that.:rotfl:DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Showing my face on here, had a wee spend on coffee and cake Saturday and ice cream for gs. We had lovely day out feeding ducks /play in park- who needs shops!!
Yesterday went and bought some more material so I can recover a dining room chair I was given, already done one and so pleased with it. Got dining room chairs but will use one in hall for taking shoes off and one in study.
Did some food shopping in Sainbobs, 38 pounds but used 30 of vouchers so only 8 pounds to pay.
Made a horrid chicken curry in slow cooker, had a swartz packet mix in cupboard so thought use up. Dreading have to eat it again today.
Done bit of xmas shopping online today, used free 5 voucher with sky so got DVD for nothing as had 2 credit on my account! Also talked Body shop into giving me my 5 pound bday voucher again as I couldn't access it in October - it all adds up ;-)
Won't be spending again rest of today.
Having day off tomorrow to enjoy the sunshine and go for a long walk. However might be on naughty step after as looking at outdoor proper waterproof coats - impossible to look over weekend with toddler in tow.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Ok, so the end is in sight and November is nearly over. As usual we had our ups and downs but we have struggled on, collected NSDs, fallen off the wagon and gotten back on. You all have done well, for the ones who doubt their achievements, look at the positives and learn from the negatives. I realised not spending on 5 days a week is easy, but when I spend I do. Drinking and smoking (and the underlying issues) need addressed in the new year and I have DH on board for that - finally (with the compromise of deferring till after christmas). Realise what you have managed, did you get a good deal on oil, manage to make some presents, fill up the freezer with lovely LO meals, took lunch to work every day, did some exercise? Most of us won't have done them all but remind yourself about the ones you have managed.
Only 3 (or 1) NSD to go folks.
Now as we approach the month of gluttony, feasts and overindulgence, what are your best budget and waistline saving meals for the cold season. Veggie or meat, best for bulk cooking.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

We got back DH's overpaid tax from last year into the bank today, this was from doing the marriage allowance thing. Super easy and well worth doing if it applies to you. We got £210 today and it went straight into savings.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

A very productive day, today. Defrosted and tidied both freezers and did lots of little things that needed done outwith the usual tidying and cooking, Spent a little (but not much) mainly on food for son foe whilst we're away.
Haven't spent nearly as much on Christmas this year as I normally do and I still think it's probably too much. Has it really become so commercialised? Our small town's Christmas lights were switched on yesterday and apparently they were charging £4.00 per child for a go on a bouncy castle. There was a lovely craft fare in the town hall which wasn't advertised. Real anger here about people being ripped off.
Anyway, have a good day. everyone.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Busy busy - but managed another nsd which takes me to 16 so far. I can't believe that the year is almost over already. It seems to have flown by. I am still exhausted and work is still non stop. I'm also still a bit behind with my crafting so plenty to be getting along with. Early night for me... all a bit boring really. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
