Hi all,
I am still here, just. Work is stupidly busy and the pressure and stress is being piled on. I've barely got time to logon to update on here, let alone readI miss being on here and reading about your days and money saving.
Lots more SFDs and house renovation part 1 is nearly complete
I'll be back at the weekend to update you on the new threadLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

NSK has been hired!
So near the end of the month and Numero Uno on the check list can now be ticked off. I have a job. I am now officially a full-time receptionist at a 5 star hotel. Commencement on Thursday for an induction day. Whoop!
I am pleased. The venue is 1.2 miles from my house and if I really wanted I could have a very beautiful walk home after an early shift. I will be sharing Mummy Bears car as I am now on the insurance!
I have £500 tucked away to put towards a teaching qualification for TEFL. The full course will cost me £1295 and £128 in transport. Although this is not confirmed as they need to interview me (?).
Only £34 left in my current account....:rotfl:
I have a spreadsheet created called "Big Saving Plan" allowing for £50 a week for Mummy, £94 for TEFL, and allowances for long-term and short-term savings which when recalculated for after February (when TEFL savings will cease) should net me £1690 for a long-term/ISA account and £820 in short term savings.
With £45 a week to live on. :T:T:T
I am on a 6 month probationary period at this hotel so I am only calculating for the next 6 months.
I just need to be cautious of "itty bitty" payments that stack up as my £45 a week include toiletries (I can live with soap), outlandishly priced snacks should I require them as I don't want to alter Mumsy's food bill too much (I am a little too fat so that's that out..:rotfl:), and I bought an app to teach me how to tie knots (prepper) and clicking "buy" on iTunes is very easy. This all needs to stop.
Might treat myself to a cinema trip now and then. I miss this treat. Otherwise it's fitness and work. YEAH!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. So NSD half way between military and civilian, food under budget (including turkey for Christmas). Petrol quite a bit over - had to fill up today as not enough to last till Thursday but will have fuel in the tank on the fall of midnight tomorrow!
Lessons learnt - nsds make me think about what I'm spending. Time is my main issue - time to exercise, time to cook if things are busy - not sure whether anything is achievable with this in December though!
There are still meals in the freezer so will aim for a frugal December in the main however I will be purchasing a little hilcohol and some goodies for christmas eve - boxing day but within reason.
Has anyone seen the M&S advert with the two women - the one that has a mood board to plan her Christmas decorations - what planet are they on!!
Anyway - rolling into the 30th - finishing off some work! Life on the edgeOooh oil delivered today - 30 litres less than ordered so another few pounds saved. Onwards and upwards
Love LAGL xx

Morning everyone,
I've proudly managed a NSD on Monday, yesterday and today should be too which means I'll have met my target.
I'm not too sure how Decembers NSD challenge will go for me. I should manage something similar but it'll be a tall ask.0 -
A big thank you to Thrifty for running this month's thread.
FurryBeast - well done on your phone deal.
NSK - well done on your new job.
apple - it sound like you've had a good month all things considered.
I will be grocery shopping today but have a £9 off a £60 spend which I think is pretty good. DD is off school, she is in a lot of pain with her new braces poor thing. I hope it eases up soon, it is her 13th birthday on Saturday.
Plan for today is looking after DD, ironing, walking the dog, cleaning upstairs and possibly visiting mum.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Mogsy is here on my bed as we speak. She has been with Mumsy for two years and is Queen of the household.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Well done one and all for getting to the end of the month! I know I landed half way in but it's been nice reading your progress and has really inspired me.
Great to see Kat back and hatching more dastardly plans to save cash! Congrats on the new job too!!!
As we speak I am pouring over December's calendar... going over my budget, and preparing to go into battle once more! It feels good to be frugal again!!! Long may it last. See you all tomorrow
