Morning all,
Another NSD yesterday for me. Today however won't be as I have a charity quiz which will no doubt result in a donation of some kind. All for a good cause though.
Friday won't be a NSD as I plan on doing a bit of Xmas shopping. Similar story on Saturday plus I have the dentist. So as long as I make Sunday a NSD, I'll have nailed 5 for the week.0 -
Good morning,
today might not be an NSD. Remembered that DS's after school/holiday club will be shut for the first week of the April holiday. We don't have any one else who could look after him and the only option would be a sports camp at my uni. But the times we need (8-5:15) costs about £190 for the week. So I thought for that money I can take him "home" to Germany and see my parents. I'm just always afraid to book e@syj3t flights in case the price comes down again. 3 days a go it was 178 return for the two of us, now it is 214. Do I book or wait?
EDIT: Found another flight route for the whole week and £180 so stuck it on the CC  Wonder how DH will cope with DD alone for a weekDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
mothernerd - that is always the way with buses, always.
ilovetea - my DD is a size 8 and just about to turn 13, she is having a fine old time buying her clothes in charity shops.
thrifty - I wish companies would stop messing about with prices and just charge a sensible price all the time. Life is too short for all this messing about imo.
I will do the December challenge then.
I did a grocery shop yesterday and came in under my teeny budget, I had a £4.50 coupon and vouchers for 620 bonus nectar points so I was pretty pleased with all that. I also had enough in the grocery budget to put some extra diesel in DH's car for the rest of the week, we have run out of our fuel budget, I need to up our monthly allowance as fuel has gone up so much recently:mad:.

Annoyingly just lost my post.
Thriftylass sounds incredibly sensible.
As today is my last day of the month based on pay cycle I have been doing a bit of totting up.
- Total to debt £115 (min £23) obviously as part of this group we are all going for overpayments but I feel proud of that considering what a huge struggle it has been at times this month. Delinquent payers and malfunctioning electrical products not withstanding!
- My eBay payer has paid me early ahead of collection. But I won't touch that money till the item is collected. I still have a bad feeling for some reason. If all is well that will add a further £200 to the above figure.
- Made extra revenue of £265 this month (2 eBay sales and 1 sale to an external company of a small piece of kit)
- Saved a further £50 into my sons savings account by putting away both his birthday money and mine.
- Had to find an extra £151 to pay for 2 family birthdays
- Super low grocery spends £240/31 = £7.74 per day divided by 4 people £1.93 for all groceries & toiletries. DS has school lunches but the rest of us eat from home 3 times per day.
- Have booked £1900 worth of business. Mega month. Best so far. But a lot of that is just cost covering so I need to do even better each month to make a viable business.
All in all not a bad month achievement wise.

Well done,Bob. That's a really successful month.
It's really cold and icy here so I'm staying in and clocking up another NSD. 15 this month so far. I haven't been to the shops for over a week now and we haven't come close to running out of anything. I'm beginning to think we're still buying too much. Nothing goes to waste but maybe we should buy less at.a time. With less than a week to go till the end of the month there's still a little more than half of the household budget left. I suppose that's partly due to me being off colour but it doesn't explain it all.
Anyway, have a good day everyone. Hope you're warmer than I am.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
BobYou're doing so well. You've worked very hard and you deserveit,x
Was going to be a NSD but needed a get well card for a friend. While I was out a brie and cranberry sandwich started calling my name..........It was good!

Afternoon all - been off grid with work for a few days - spending bits updated below - have started the C shopping in earnest (sorry but it has to be under control as Dec is manic) so sfd not so hot. Petrol over budget too - not a lot I can do about that - needs must but food still under so maybe I can get one to cancel the other... Busy but lacking motivation if you know what I mean. Love to all, LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130

Damn, internet ate my post. In short;
Bob - Huge well done.
LAGL - Just one final push for the remainder of the month, not long to go.0 -
Small spend yesterday on some food items and small Xmas bits (annuals and the like) and 1 birthday present. Oh - and some mouse traps for the garage!!!
SFD today (bought some items for someone else but already had money back, so counting as NSD as none of my money spent). Skipped Zumba in favour of volunteering - counting that as exercise as I was lifting and moving furniture and the like around and clocked up as many steps as I do in a Zumba class! Also had a short (20) min walk, so both bits together count
Planning SFD tomorrow - not getting caught up in Black Friday!!
Bob - fab achievements this month :T:T
