Morning all,
Not sure what we are doing today, dh is in a strange mood (always is towards the end of his holidays as he starts thinking about what he's going back to at work next week)
So I will add to today's list through the day as it happens I think
So far
* Put dishwasher on quick wash with 1/2 a tablet
* Checked banking/updated spreadsheet
* Checked off Mr T cc - we always pay off in full but use this or sant cc for most of our spending to maximise cashback/points
* Kids having ys bagels again
* Dh has been for his free flu jab
* No heating on but typing this at the desk with my legs wrapped in a blanket with a warm cuppa
Still to do
* Look at changing energy supplier going to look again in a few weeks so that I don't need to pay exit fees, made a note on the calendar to remind me
* Read :money: email properly done
* Check off Sant ccdone - again used this to make the most of cashback but pay off in full each month
* Rm surveys
* Luckyphone
* Open up 2 new bank accounts
* Ordered pizza express vouchers from Mr T clubcard for lunch£10 Converted to give me £40 to use and it cost £40.50
Can't use vouchers for drinks it said so we all had tap water
* Had a wander into Whsmiths to look at books, I find it nicer looking in there then the libraryMade a note of some books we fancied trying for the kids, came home and now reserved them from the library
* Going to get another film to watch from our stash, My choice now that the Hobbit/LOTR's saga is over
* Checked amaz0n free no rush credits and downloaded 3 songs for the kids and rented a film on there for me
* Kids wanted to use some pocket money for their lego dimensions game on the xbox, ordered from ama0n as they had what they wanted at the same price as in town but they also had it 3 for 2 so they've got an extra pack to share
Have a good day all

Morning all :hello:
Dawn - thanks for asking after me. I am alright - I always am. I never give up and even when I have tough days or weeks I come bouncing back.:D
Today is the last day of my half term and the first time in weeks I've felt like making a list of annoying jobs and sticking to it :j So today I will be going to get the X-ray I've been putting off for months, going to the bank to pay a cheque in, fixing my cupboard door and taking a car boot full of clothes up to the cash for clothes place.
Less happy news is that I'm about to rejoin the ranks of DFW...Thanks to fantastic encouragement on here we applied for and remortgaged the house, which has gone through this week. Unfortunately because we had one of those really awful Northern Rock Together mortgages we have an unsecured loan attached which isn't covered by the remortgage. It's about £6000 - and the interest rate has just shot up to 9.9%. I'm debating looking into refinancing it to see if I can get a better interest rate...
Right - best get on - lots of crochet requests for Christmas stuff and time is getting short...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hi all
It's been a slow week for me surviving on the last few pounds before pay day today but at least that has meant not much has been spent! We're going on holiday next week so will do a sensible small shop to last this weekend as the cupboards are all but bare. Spends on holiday have been budgeted for.
Done a quick hoover and tidy up today. Will tackle sorting out the kitchen cupboards in a bit (we have a tiny kitchen but seemingly loads of equipment!)
Sorted out the cupboard in the hallway which is now much neater
November budget finalised
I've done some surveys this week and have checked FPL every day
I will have to use the Christmas pot this weekend to buy my grandparents' presents as I'm seeing them next weekend and it'll be the only opportunity before Christmas (we live about 300 miles apart). I have plenty of Christmas wrapping paper in stock, bought in the sales last year
Have a lovely weekend everyone :beer:02 0% £719.20 £649.26

Hello,
Few days absence as been on long days and so I've been too tired to go online. It's a recommendation for me to take a year out from my course as there's so much going on in my life at the mo - dad's got the dread big C, my nanna's ill, moms in and out of hospital and I have my own health issues too. I got made homeless this year when the landlord sold the house out from under us just as our contract was due to expire. after a few months we landed this house which needs a full renovation. Belongs to my grandparents and we're doing the work with the idea of buying it from them when I have graduated and have a full ime job. I don't really want to take the year out but I'm so stressed with my coursework, house rebuild and family issues that it is tempting the more I think about it.
Today's plans:
* doing some day to stop me from Christmas shopping! Pulling wallpaper off stairs and checking which parts will need replastering. From the look of it so far filler is holding this house together so I won't be surprised if it all needs doing.
* jackets for tea, all meals have been from stores today
* need to use £5 for my matched bet, but is it a NSD if it's guaranteed to come back? Idk.
* need to compile shopping list for us and for Maxxy Moo... he's graduating to raw food next week! All raw treats and tidbits have gone down well so far
* OH gets paid Monday so need to see how much he has put aside for diy this month, it's usually around 300 so need to check spreadsheets to see what needs doing this month. Oh also see household budget so I can plan that accordingly.
I think that's all for today.0 -
Woollisox, you have so much going on in your life at the moment, hope you're ok.

Hi all,
I am in a real grumpmongous mood. I am sick of having my time wasted by technology & am actually seeing the attraction of budgeting in 5-bar gates scratched on a wall with a pointy stick. Today is my Big Budget Day. So I had online banking which required a new set of sign-in details to be set up. This took ages as website timed out, but finally managed it & got what I wanted to do done.....fine....until I needed to sign in again to move some funds when suddenly it doesn't recognise any of my new details......or naturally, any of the old ones. Am waiting for a link to re-set. Credit card account - website has had major upgrade & is now a websh1te. Times out constantly, took 7 attempts to make a payment. Helpline is overwhelmed with calls. Then the internet crashed on laptop & it demanded a restart. I did this (while effing & blinding) & it then proceeded to do THREE separate re-configurations. Phone then announced it had an upgrade ready to install. Then said there isn't sufficient space to install the new version of whatever the **** it is.
Despite this, I have still managed to do a few things:
*Reconciled October's budget.
*Set November's budget. A bit tight this coming month. The key will be lots of freezer meals & not getting spendy while we are on holiday.
*Paid 50p into my sealed pot.
*Paid loose change into shrapnel jar.
*Updated budget spreadsheet with new monthly amounts.
*Major filing session replacing old documents with new ones, etc.
*Decided which savings piggies to pay this month & how much.
*Decided how much to put in our 'Holiday cash-bag'. We're going to be in a self-catering cottage, so I allow that week's grocery money plus an extra £50 as well as £20 received as an anniversary gift & a spare £5 which didn't appear to belong to any specific budget & was just hanging around. It's now got a job of its own.....in the holiday bag!
*Tried to fill in tax form to reclaim the tax automatically paid on the interest on my PPI money (it arrived in our bank account this morning, so at least that was a nice thing......though I'm unable to transfer it to the Loan Pay-Down Fund as I am now completely unable to sign in. ...Grrrrrr!) Tax form dreadful. I had to send another copy of the PPI letter with the figures on in the hope that they can make sense of what interest has been paid to them instead of to me as a non-taxpayer. I think I've worked it out logically & have included my workings & asked them to advise me if it is incorrect.
*Shaped the foot on the sock I'm knitting. Just straight knitting now till I get to the toes & toes are easy & quick. That will be another gift finished, & they do look really good, as fab yarn.
*Meal plan (heavily based on freezer dives next week as it's rammed) & write shopping list.
*Put wodge of Sainso's vouchers in my bag tonight so as to remember to take them with me.
Sorry to be so moany.......there are so many worse problems than malfunctioning tech, but sometimes, it just gets to you & makes every job take 4 times as long......or makes it impossible to achieve at all.
Oh. Slight instant improvement to mood. Mr f is home & he appears to have chocolate.........
Have a good weekend, all.

I've had a good day of bumbling about really. My achievements (lol)
1. Mr went into the loft a day ago to put some bits up there and brought down all the 12 to 18 month clothing and toys. There was tonnes!! Although Miss is a lady in training obviously (not much sign of that when she's trying to jab her fingers into my eyes, nose and mouth) she can still wear a lot of DSs old things. I've realised that sentence makes it sound like DH didn't come out of the loft yet but don't worry he did...Pleased for the lovely 'free' clothing and toys, not pleased for the enormo washing pile it generated. I have been washing constantly since then to get everything through the machine and line dried. I am pleased to say I haven't given in to the tumble drier despite the sheer volume of work in just hanging it all out and bringing it back in each day, moving wet things and drying things around in rotation.
2. After a quiet stint on the roadkill front I found 4p today.
3. Mr and DS wanted to go swimming. I remembered that last time we went I couldn't swim with DD as the little pool was closed and the big pool too cold and busy. So they refunded me but for both OH and I. So today both of them swam for free.
4. I had 150 in Mr S points coupons. One was for 50 points for a bag of leaves which I would have bought anyway the other for 100 points if you spent over £5.25 on coffee. So I bought 2 250g bags of decent organic coffee which will see us out for a couple of months. It was also enough to push me into the next nectar reward level too.
5. The client today actually paid me
6. Cycled to the quick errand I had to do and back (60 mins good exercise)
7. Used up lots of bits from yesterday in meals today. It always makes me laugh when people take a dim view of leftovers. Things like cooked chips, cooked pasta, chopped herbs. Cold bacon. What do those people think their ding cuisine contains? None of that is freshly cooked is it.
8. We walked to and from the swimming pool so no cost for the bus. Me and DD mooched about whilst the others swam.
9. Have managed to assimilate most of the loft toys into the front room already. So things are less messy. Need to clear the early baby toys out of the travel cot so there is more room.
10. Still haven't put the heating on at home yet. It's just not needed and with our back door open all day as DS likes to go on the trampoline several times an hour! I'd be paying to heat the sky
And tonight I will be watching more of American Horror on Netflix, so thats our wild night planned.
It's the small things that keep me happy
