Hi October Octagenarians, (Still struggling for a suitable piece of alliteration!) :rotfl:
The Wee Geek has been too busy at work to participate much on here or in life in general but here's a token effort, anyway.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Checked online bank accounts.
* Loaded Nectar card offer to card from Nectar website.
* Shopped around for Kindle-gadget-ma-bob for DW for Decemberfest. She uses her Kindle every day so I've bought her a plug in keyboard for it. I think there'll be a lot of use gotten out of it.
* Gave DW the £29 of vouchers we'd saved for Decemberfest from RM Surveys.
* Do RM Surveys.
* Informed DW that all I want for Decemberfest is a blanket. I don't really need much.
* Went to the cinema; took in our own contraband.
Live long, live well and prosper.

Hey everyone
Imy tumble drier!
Couldn't do without it - when I see the amount of dog hair/fluff that comes off everything AFTER it's been washed  :rotfl:
Oooh DNMS - glad to hear you're getting on well with your meditation. I am a big fan of mantra meditation - There's a great Deva Premal 21 day course freebie on amazon music (if you have prime) or free version of spotify. Another subject I could talk for hours on so I will stop now :rotfl:
Not much happening today - we are totally screwed money-wisePay day on Monday will alleviate a little (i.e. I'll be able to pay the bills but will have zero left over) so it's not very comforting!
We have a roast chicken in for tonight so will have that with potatoes one night and then rice/cous cous the next. Might actually need to go to @ldi for a top up shop with money we don't have...
Cheapo pancakes with cold meats/antipasti for lunch
I've sent OH a few jobs to apply for so I'll nag until he actually presses submit!
Will need to take poochface out in a bit
Night in tonight - no booze but might make it special with some healthy hot chocolates or something
What should I do with a big bag of spinach that is OOD? Might use some at lunch but not all of it... Can I freeze it? Or do something and then freeze??? Last night we made kale chips with a massive bag of kale - cheap, delish and nutritious - my fave combo
Happy weekend folks!
I think it's much better having a weekly thread now btw...0 -
This week I have applied for a Tesco Current Account, they are sending out forms to sign and send back. I'm going to be moving some money over there after the changes to TSB.
Daily updates to my savings account.
Halved takeaway to make last two days.
Using up items from stocks rather than replacing before I need to. Is making less clutter too.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
Thanks you DNMS I've got a book & CD called Mindfulness a practical guide to finding peace in a frantic world by Mark Williams and Danny Penman. I've only managed to get part way through but think I'll start it again today! A close friend of mine had a breakdown and I don't want to go the same way. I'm going to do a meditation now and then go for a walk with my family. My job is fairly stressful at times, I've just been promoted and not sure if its the right thing. When I'm there I'm fine, its just when I'm at home or on holiday I dread going in on Monday. You do a fab job DNMS my sis has had mental health and housing issues, thank you for what you do.
Needless to say I am struggling with motivation today, just feel like curling up in bed and having a good old cry (like I did last night)! Anyhow onwards and upwards:
- selling a few items on Facebook after clear out, can't keep track at the moment who is coming to collect when!
- totalcashback comp continues...got a witches hat today
- will go for a coffee after walk and womble some loyalty point receipts.
- DD going for a sleepover, DH is treating me to a meal out.
Take care all, LP xCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Morning all, my list for today;
- meal plan for the week, should be able to do this without needing to buy anything extra
- work out how much extra money I need to pay bills this month in preparation for asking OH to contribute
- do housework to keep me occupied
- download eBay app and list a few items
- complete surveys/enter comps
- probably a NSD as LO is not well, we may be in need of fresh air later so might take the opportunity to pick up some fruit
- look up recipes to use up frozen mango and mixed berries, no idea how long either have been there but they are taking up valuable space
Enjoy your Saturday everyoneLBM September 2012Debt at LBM £10,573.00Current debt £3,250 (29/12/20)Current savings £4,950 (29/12/20)0 -

Quickie from me as dashing about. Small things
1. Two items of clothing into the charity bag. More space in the cupboard. Free collection once the bag is full saves me a job.
2. TRU was having an event today with lots of free activities. DS had fun doing a treasure hunt that enables him to enter a £500 TRU voucher prize draw. DD toddled round playing with lots of things (she's pooped now) and both of them came away with gift bags with little toys and coupons in. Some useful bits like wet wipes too.
3. DS is going to a big Halloween party tonight that one of the mums is hosting. We are all staying as there is no point leaving and coming home in between due to distance. Hes very excited and is going as a Ghost buster
4. Lunch was leftover pasta and mince meat with cheese for both the children, from last night's meal. OH and I had delicious chicken wraps using up cooked chicken, peppers, onions, and lettuce from our Fajitas last night.
5. Killed off 2 jars of mayo that had a generous scrape left in each for the above mentioned wraps.
6. Another load out on the line.
7. Paid £26 off my cc
8. Will be cycling to my errand in a while, around 45 mins solid cycling round trip
9. Wrote out plans for my job tommorow to ensure I purchased just enough provisions. There will be useful items to come back after the job as I never use a whole butter for sandwiches for example.
10. Lovely organic coffee purchased yesterday for extra Mr points going down well. Who needs Costa lots

Am trying to work out if the meat offer in the newsletter is a good deal? Technically I could get similar cuts/size for less in aldi/lido. Is the taste/quality worth the extra cost. What do you guys think?DF as at 30/12/16

Bob, your signature is looking fab!
Well I haven't got much else done this afternoon as I got an email from tlaktalk about price increases so I've been doing my research and seeing if we can get a better deal. Why do these things always take on a life of their own!
* Booked onto gym classes for next week
* Catching up with a series on catchup
* 3 baths out of one lot of hot water
I need to get cracking with my annoying list ready for the kids/hubby being back to normal on Monday.

I've not had meat from that place but did get a couple of deliveries from Musclefoods and felt that the quality of the chicken breasts was much better then what we'd been getting from the supermarkets.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
