    Morning everyone :) Up and showered and ready to go! Day number 9 of maternity leave! I've got an appointment at the doctors at 11.20 for my flu jab and then I'm going round to see my Mum for a bit, I'd also like to try and find something to wear for my baby shower on Sunday! Weather or not I find something I like is a different story! So anyways my list for today:

    - Check bank accounts
    - Doctors
    - See Mum
    - Watch more of my boxset
    - Do a load of washing

    I'll think of more as the day goes on! :) Happy Thursday all! x

    Morning all,

    Having another chilled morning here and dh left me in bed until 9am! Lovely.

    Not a lot planned today other then popping to the hospital for little one to have a blood test. If the weather is ok at that time we'll go into the neighbouring park for a walk/play, if not it will be back home and play with some board games. Weather was rubbish so we came home and watched the last LOTR's film instead

    PF, I could have written your LOTR's post! Thankfully we watched The Hobbit first with the kids so just the 2 dvds to go to watch the last film!

    Todays small things will include
    * Check banking
    * Check luckyphone :)
    * Found another 2 packs of ys bagels in the freezer so that's todays/tomorrows breakfast sorted :)
    * Read Martins email properly
    * Open 2 new bank accounts
    * Check out energy suppliers and see if there is a better deal available
    * Shower but let hair dry naturally :)
    * All meals from stores :) Toasting left over French bread for lunch
    * Rm surveys
    * I've got my niece a student cookbook for xmas, I want to look through it and pick a recipe and then buy the ingredients and make that into a hamper for her.
    * Update xmas spreadsheet as the theatre tickets for my parents have arrived in the post today.
    * Hammer a nail into the cupboard door so that I can hang my pan lid holder in there with place mats on :)
    * Find the spongey floor protectors to go on the bottom of kitchen chairs so they don't scratch the floor :)

    Sure there will be more but that's it for now.

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all
    Had a lovely lie in this morning. However, was woken up to help with DD tidy out her room. It's a sellers cave in there! So we have been sorting through everything: sell, charity, bin.

    - I've managed to list about 30 items on my local facebook page and had enquiries about 2 things already.
    - will re-gift one item from my daughters stash!
    - booked cinema tickets for a friend and I through work cashback site saving £4.
    - will pop to the charity shop when we are done.
    - lunch at home
    - totalcashback comp
    - postcode lottery
    - check for any market research opps

    Think that's it for today LP x

    Afternoon folks

    Day 1 of the holiday rather productive so far. Been to crossfit this morning and discovered that I can now hang from a bar for 40s (and repeated this feat 4 times!). Last time I tried, I only made 20s :j

    Have a HUGE list of things to do before the holiday plus the ongoing KonMarieing so here's the list:

    • Roast all the veg and freeze so it doesn't all go off while we're away - done
    • B/L/D from stores - done
    • Strip spare bed and wash bedding (ready for mum coming round the week after we get back!) - done
    • Keep an eye on last ebay item - only 20mins to go! - done
    • Take Ebay parcels to post office - done
    • Clean the house - hoovered downstairs
    • Make birthday card for OH's mum
    • Take stuff to charity shop
    • Put suet block out for birds - done
    • Mow the lawn - done
    • Bring chilli plants in - done
    • Put all washing away/try to dry it! - house looks like Widow Twankey's
    • Check into flight (tomorrow)
    • Pack
    • Make packed tea for the flight
    • Reconcile spending spreadsheet
    • Book taxi to airport - done
    • Get money out for taxi
    • Write notes to the neighbours to let them know we're away - done, spotted over the garden fence instead!
    • Epilate legs, pluck eyebrows and shape nails. I normally pay for a shellac mani and pedi before my hols. Really gutted not to have it done but can't really justify the expense.
    Eeeeek!

    Have a good one all

    Well I didn't get much done off my list but we had a nice day together so I can't complain.
    I was aiming for a nsd but we called in at the co0p on the way back from the hospital and picked up a few ys bits and pieces so it was a lsd instead.
    I need to start doing a new list for when the kids go back to school next week. I think I will follow Foxgloves and make another "annoying" list as I'm sure there's lots to be done.
    For tonight though, I'm going to switch off the laptop and make a cuppa before settling down to watch The Apprentice with hubby.
    Hope everyone's had a good day and I hope you have a fab holiday Clf.
    CCL I hope you are managing to rest also.

    Hi everyone :wave:

    Had a rough couple of days tbh. A couple of unexpected/'thought OH had paid already' bills for OH's biz :( Completely thrown us and YNAB and for the first time in a year we are in the red :( sob sob. Queue another realisation of OH that he needs to get a job as his biz isn't picking up. Queue me moaning that he needs to get a job... Same old really! Roll on payday on Monday...

    Need to get something cheap in for the weekend and some batch cooking done as the cupboards are bare, but on the positive side we have only spent £145 on groceries this month! :D

    Also need to get treats for the kiddos on the street :think:

    Eek, I'm running out of battery and I can't be bothered getting up to plug in my laptop. :p

    Catch up soon everyone - I've enjoyed reading your posts. LOTR chat made me giggle as I was reading in work. :rotfl:

    Night night xxx
